Also question is, if Kii is case being tanuki and forgot about something in her pool skin, or AL being sloppy -

@Wargaming - Captain rework feedback - BB Secondary

Only if torpedoes would be actually lethal against battleships, because its too easy to counter weapon with 2min reload by pressing one button. -
Armor schemes on mid-tier American and Jap BBs

I was talking about possible way of dealing with enemy BB when you're incapable of ricocheting enemy shells. Still, case of damned if you do, damned if you don't. Or don't be a cheapskate and buy yourself a Pommern -

Technically, by sailing angled at +-50-60 degrees (rear turrets at the target or close to), overmatching shells should overpen, as 26mm plating doesn't get enough effective thickness to arm the fuse, while main belt might withstand shells just fine. Basically the same mechanic where you score overpens OR citadels on broadside-ish cruisers, but almost never penetrations. Shells that enter the ship through deck or intricate shape of superstructure probably will arm though. -
Its simple - WoWs as naval arcade game have very small niche, everyone that are interested in warships already heard or played it. And as a game, WoWs is very slow paced pseudo tactical shooter, which isn't common taste either. Thus, new players are few and far in between and WG relies on existing old players instead new ones. Which means you have complete abandonment of lowtier content and ever increasing pace of events of all sorts simply to keep players busy in game, so they don't go and wander elsewhere with their money.

@Wargaming - Captain rework feedback - BB Secondary
Panocek replied to Defianted's topic in General Discussion
All ships getting Massa secondary dispersion would one way to indirectly nerf her and then ManSec nerf. Which, with Massa dispersion is reasonable, as her secondaries <7km are bit TOO accurate and start hitting main belt consistently instead superstructure and/or other sections for occasional fire. They are brutal against destroyers tho. -
Okay. So I've observed bow wave (and overall 3d water deformations against the ship) being pixellated on my end as well, but not as much. Disabling FXAA antialiasing (had it on high), as you have on your config screenshot makes them much more pronounced, kinda matching your screenshots.

On positive, T6 and below BBs get accuracy bonus from 15% to 35%. Tbh, I see "only" 35% accuracy bonus as buff to Massa/Georgia/Ohio - their default dispersion, without ManSec is decent enough to hit BBs even at max range, while with reworked skill you will be able to keep both broadsides blazing with designating target being one further away. Or destroyer for that matter. And secondaries always were gimmick you had to spend heavily into, you not always could make use of it and just like AA, can be very quickly removed off your ship leaving you in awkward spot. Unless its "global change" then they are free to [edited]up any and all premiums they feel like Tbh, one of the vibes I get from looking at reworked skills again is essentially reducing impact of skills on ship performance, effectively reducing need for highly leveled captains because skills give so little. Kinda like communism - equal amount of poverty for everyone. -

US, UK and Nagato battleships having all-or-nothing armor historically accurate and WG conveniently came up with game mechanics such as overmatch to... incentivize... players to spend money to skip them, so they don't have too much fun playing midtiers. -

WG also confirmed global secondary range extension across the board, it wouldn't be outside of realms of possibility they would improve dispersion as well. I guess WG could roll with long range being kinda standard value with little means of improving it, while skills/upgrades tied to secondaries would focus on accuracy and reload. -
Remove mods and do integrity check just in case?

Kashino was purpose built to ferry Yamato class guns and turrets between shipyards, once that task was done she was converted into ammo ferry. And then possible reason why she is so... heavy in ballast department -

Shinano and rainbow rarity bulins, among few things announced on JP stream And Yamato guns make an appearance (next to Kii) and metric jesuston of skins, including l2d Saint Louis, Essex and Baltimore -
Well, its not like there is "code of conduct" in randoms, so anything that is by default in game and lets you kill without being killed in return is rather good pick. "Germans can tank" usually applies to T8+ CAs due to their lower than usual citadel and 27mm hulls. So, dispatching one up close can prove an extraordinarily difficult, especially if all you have are 380mm guns. Mainz/Tallin do have similar citadel placement, but lack 27mm platings. So "they can tank" up close by virtue of not being oneshot from multiple citadel hits. They still can take regular pen damage, which applies to CAs as well.

From you? Maybe. From rest of the people who complain and yet keep shoving money down the WG throat - why kill the golden goose? Even more so as hilariously overpriced stuff seems to sell better than anticipated, as Pay2Rico has shown. Same in WoT - there is no fixed concealment value, as concealment stat acts as debuff to enemy view range. Obvious negative - BBs would have the best view range because tallest and usually outfitted with best means of detecting stuff. Variable concealment certainly would throw in much unpredictability into the concealment game, as you wouldn't have rigid 6km detection, but 5.6km against someone who didn't spec into detection, while 6.3km against someone with it maxed out. Radar could also be reworked to act as further debuff, so you'd avoid rigid 12km border, instead maxed out concealment DD would be detected by radar at, lets say, 10.5km while "radared' battleship would be picked up at 16km or so.

Well, WG already showcased quite intriguing ASW plane targeting mechanic. And I'm kinda sure it could be appropriated for spotter plane control - instead automatic range extension, spotter could act as, well, spotter. "Go there and show me things", obviously being vulnerable to AA. Or fighter that could be delegated to cover other ships.
-
Technically, there were also seaplane tenders, used by Russians as well. RU CV line confirmed?
-
Aviation BBs/cruisers were used by only one nation, in rather limited number and with even more limited success. Putting them as separate class with symmetrical MM lineup won't work, unless WG will make them overpowered as f, so everyone will start playing them. My guess would be Hybrids would arrive with fighter/spotter rework, so regular ships with catapults could pick plane with some offensive armament, like one-two small bombs, more like means of middle finger than actually effective weapon, but hey, they could get CV experience as well And then there is USS Pringle
-
Modules also have very low hitpoint pool, so any hit that isn't "saved" by RNG mechanic WILL result in engine/rudder knockout. And then HE shells ignore platings between shell detonation and module(s), thats why it is possible to trigger detonation with near HE miss on a DD. Or disable rudder for that matter.

Tbh, it kinda looks like oath skin. That also would be l2d. And then she does decent job as mob clearer, if being somewhat expensive at that. -

AA atakuje szwadron "od dupy strony" gdyż WG do tej pory nie ogarnęło skaczącego celownika jak samolot w atakującym szwadronie zostaje zestrzelony i nowy go zastępuje. -
Thats the point of camouflage, to break the ship silhouette so observer, especially in less than ideal conditions have difficulty determining ship direction and/or speed. Dazzle camouflage kinda lost its effectiveness during ww2 when everyone started throwing microwaves at each other, but remains usable against classy, standard issue mark 1 eyeball.
-
Destroyers losing engine and rudder the moment someone sneezes in their direction is perfectly normal. Basically you can assume them to be perpetually broken and you wouldn't be far off either. Regardless of Preventative Maintenance skill being present, because this skill reduces chance. Which means you will brick engine/rudder anyway whenever you need it the most.
