I'd say NC is the peak, as with Iowa you're losing that awesome turn radius only to get higher top speed... which you rarely see anyway. Also T8 have somewhat interesting spot MM wise, with notorious T8 only games.
-
Haven't played Iowa in a LOOONG time, but Missouri guns are... temperamental would be an understatement. Her "only" 406mm guns don't uptier well when T10 cruisers can kinda ignore you because 30mm plating, while 300mm main belt doesn't quite protect from all the bussian rias and large cruiser guns out there.

You were calling?

Superheavy shells doesn't mean improved ricochet angles, only higher damage compared to lighter shells of same caliber. Pensacola and Nope Orlean have improved angles despite using "standard" shells. Duke of York have improved angles. Doesn't make ship any less shitty tho

Took some time, but Bunker Hill secured -
Which is not helped by the fact midtier BBs tend to be better armored than T7-9 in terms of plating thickness. Given Kansas and Minniesota are basically free exp sinks, one might wonder why WG even bothered with modelling them instead just create Vermont as T10 FXP/Coal/RB/whatever ship
-
Which applies mostly to battleships, as majority of cruisers have aerial detection equal to AA range.

So, if Oklahoma gets reload nerfed, this means Texas will be pulled from the store soon, while New York will get thorough and merciless nerfhammering? All three ships use the same guns in the same quantity with the same (lack of) accuracy. On top of that, Oklahoma seems to use "early" shells which, I presume, have worse penetration. Similar issue with Kansas, Amagi exists. Two barrels extra sure as hell aren't worth losing speed, accuracy and reload.

Or what-if retrofit that changed superstructure

Anybody else hard time sniping petro - resolved

Main belt being up to 300mm thick will stop normal cruisers AP at "normal" ranges, but when you had shatters against broadside NC when playing high tier BB? Because its the same kind of citadel protection. And then, with what sticks out of the water, Minotaur, Venezia, Hindenburger or even destroyer AP will have field day. -
And have you ever tried to deal with BB that consistently refuses to show broadside when playing Petro?
-
Big AP shells would give guaranteed overpen damage unless they would meet an actual armor to arm themselves on, then penetration/citadel damage would follow. You could couple that with global nerf to "unarmored" platings to 10mm/13mm. DDs and CLs would have 10mm hulls, thus CL could overmatch DDs with AP, but DD wouldn't. CA, CB, BC and BBs would have 13mm extremities unless they specifically had armor there (icebreakers, Ger armored bow etc) so they would be overmatched by 203mm guns and bigger, giving role for heavy cruisers. For scoring citadels, you still need to hit one and shells still need enough penetration to do their job, so CA need to to be uncomfortably close or have to be of glorious variety to perforate battleship citadel And when we're at it, consider entire armored box on BB to be citadel, just like it is on cruisers.
-
Bigger change would be rule "shell fuse cannot be armed when overmatch occurs", that way a smaller ships would have noticeable survivability against big shells unless hit to the citadel. Battleships that are overmatched also would have some breathing room when facing big enough guns
-
You mean invitation to 30km meta? Because BB guns are last to lose on shell velocity due to, I dunno, chucking 1ton or heavier projectiles around with, usually, aerodynamically optimized ballistic caps to retain energy for as long as possible. And then WG tried changing overmatch mechanic in World of Tanks to be bit more elaborate instead "yes/no". Final result... was random to say the least as you never was sure if shell would go through to glance off.

Brit torp detection is set to be in line with other torpedoes, that is giving 8s reaction time, only exception being deepwater (+-5s), IJN and French (+-10s) torps. And then single launch feature is THE trait you want to have when it comes to torpedoes, as you can create your own patterns, launch uneven amount of torps towards multiple targets, effectively torpedo bowtanking ships and play "did I launch three torpedoes or four" game. And thats besides fact WG has been plucking islands left right and center, which acts as convenient torp blockers. Throw in everyone and their mom running Hydro consumable because DFAA is nigh useless, carriers that will be more than happy to pounce on "overextending" DD that tries to make use of torpedoes and you have less than enviable situation for "torpedo oriented" ships. Meanwhile Britbong DD will happily sprinkle targets of opportunity with guns, while enemy CV will have significant REEE event due to constant smoke spam. To top it off, Jutland and Daring have heals
-
-British DD -powercrept If anything, Brit destroyers invalidate most other destroyer lines with their outstanding flexibility and handling.

Last two skill points are expected to have rather extreme exp thresholds to get them, also two most useful skills, Priority Target and Adrenaline Rush have their cost increased, therefore you don't gain anything from increasing skill cap to 21.
-
Given "new player" is somewhat rare occurence in WoWs, we get all the missions to keep existing players busy enough so they run out of hours in a day to play (and spend on) something else.
-
Don't spend them and see what WG will pull out next. That or fxp some ships you don't see yourself liking.

What will be the next coal ship? - p.s. *Waves - Did you miss me?*

Rather big issue of RU destroyers is, they trade A LOT for being supposed "gunboats", yet in straight up duel they are outgunned by pretty much anyone and even against IJN torpboats it will be costly exchange. Only redeeming trait being ballistics for 12km+ shelling. Khaba plating helps against DDs, but still eating large caliber pens is major issue, on top of being cripple of a ship. -

Times when Tashkent was tier 8 are long gone you boomer And since repeated hitting her with buff stick, she outright invalidates Khabarovsk and is tier lower. -

Doesn't mean WG can't nerfhammer Kitakami to the ground and then back to Japan before putting her into development hell. Maybe limited torpedoes as her gimmick -
First high tier coal ship recommendation?
Panocek replied to Tyloo_Xccurate's topic in General Discussion
You can play Georgia as NC (closer to Iowa given lack of turn though), but no way you can replicate Georgia with NC. That said, Georgia should work more than fine with usual tank build, secondaries can be fun, but situational would be an understatement and then on no silver US battleship secondary build makes sense. -
What are the best 3 premium ships in the game right now?
Panocek replied to seXikanac's topic in General Discussion
Cossack, if way of the tea destroyer is familiar to you. Georgia is solid bundle of gimmicks, same with Alaska. Massa can be fun, though her 27kts top speed and only 18km gun range can leave you wanting when uptiered + Georgia exists. I don't consider Ohayo that much of an upgrade over Georgia. Yes, you get Montana hull with associated absolute lack of maneuvreability but also you get only 28kts top speed. Over Georgia you get 4th turret, but you also lose CB dispersion and have slower reload. Turret traverse is considerably faster though. Also by virtue of being tier 10, Ohayo is bound to see T10 only games, which are absolute snorefest nowadays, while Georgia gets to bully T7 ships from time to time. And her guns are not to be ignored against T10. -
Tbh, cruiser scoring single citadel hits on a BB is like "so what" when you're chipping 6k hp from a ship that have 100k hp. Meanwhile said BB can bonk you back for 20k, half/third of your hp with regular pens from 4 shells in one go because why not
