German secondaries have 1/4 HE pen rule, thus 105 pens 26mm, 128 pens 32mm and 150 pens 38mm. Shikishima (Zao, Hakuryu, Yoshino, Kii) use "Akizuki" 100mm guns with 30mm pen as base.

What-if-what-if Germans would develop quad turrets for light cruisers and it happened they had spare Hipper hull laying around And "CL" line sooner or later will happen, as with "games as services", stagnancy in delivering new content means death for the game.

I am the only one who have an actual issue with this, besides usual cashgrab from WG?
-
I'm somewhat convinced time period this game covers can be summed up as "Too late for exploring the world, too early for space travel but just in time to hump the island. Or map border for that matter"
-
Randoms are crap festival for quite some time, if anything, yolo meta would actually allow you to do some damage instead usual potatoes sailing off to New World from A1 corner.
-
Cruiser that also happen to be extremely shitty at being cruiser as well.

WSAD keys exist for a reason, you know. Once you realize that and pay attention to how flak spawns, odds are you will stop bumbling how "OP" anti air is... because its not.

Shimakaze vs Khabarovsk. You want to get shot in left or right kneecap? Still, I'd point to the Shimakaze, because its merely 9mm compared to 12 gauge buckshot you would get with Khabarovsk, especially as you've admitted Tashkent was a struggle. Shima also retains her concealment advantage, which can be very useful in divisions and when contesting caps, she also restores some flexibility due to getting speed and third fish launcher back compared to Kagero or Yugumo. In return, as T10 ship, she is guaranteed to see T10 only games, which are boring as heck with rare opportunities to sneak your way through with carriers and radars everywhere to make use of supposed strength of yours, torpedoes. Personally I'd wait for some discount to get Shimakaze, maybe there will be one during Christmas. Or join clan, those may be able to provide that feature

Destroyer IFHE against Cruisers or DE against BB ?
Panocek replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
You might as well go with Ger DD in gunboat spec, 32mm HE pen and vicious AP damage for broadsides. Or Akizuki gang for that matter. -

If cruiser is in full pursuit after you, then someone, somewhere, somehow, fluffed up spectacularly. And unless yer a french DD, you're not going to disengage with average speed of 30kts when maneuvering under fire, against cruiser clocking between 32kts (Hindenburg) and 44kts (Henri IV with engine boost). -

10% from fire prevention reduces fire chance by 10%, not subtracts 10 percent points. Thus, 5% fire chance on ye olde USN Dual Purpose Mortar 5"/38 against T10 ship, with built in 50% fire resistance and with FP skill would be 5*0.5*0.9=2.25% fire chance You take Fire Prevention to remove one fire spot from superstructure, not for fire chance reduction. And at T10 only 5 out of 15 cruisers DON'T have 30mm or more upper hull plating, while all but Minotaur, Smolensk and Colbert have 30mm deck. Technically, you can aim for bow and stern with HE, but you're aiming at small target and odds are, guy on receiving end will notice he's taking damage and start taking evasive maneuvers. And then bow/stern saturate quickly. With DD caliber guns, you're better off using AP against unarmored sections whenever possible and leave HE for barbecue purposes. -
No matter how hard I squint, 21mm pen on my Massa/Georgia isn't higher than 26mm/38mm on German 105 and 150 guns respectively
-
But those are EXTRA yummy
-
Hindenburg says hi
-
At longer ranges, Massa/Georgia/Ohio can rack up some damage as shells tend to land on superstructure, especially against bow on targets, but outside of that, they just lack the pen to threaten hull/bow/stern oh hightier ships bigger than DD or odd Brit CL or other Smolensk. And then detonating someone is pure luck, not really related to "secondaries op"

And pray tell, how exactly many planes you can recover within 20minutes battle, or in your average 9min onesided landslide? Not really, as hp and speed are almost identical to Shokaku. And due to larger TB/DB squadrons, by time Kaga does attack run with 2 TB out of 12, Shokaku takes off with new squadron.

Pommern is objectively inaccurate (standard BB dispersion, 1.5 sigma), but due to magic of 12gun broadside, something eventually will stick to the wall, with subpar reload of 33s. Georgia is objectively accurate (battlecruiser dispersion, 1.8 sigma) but due to only 6 guns, any misses will be felt dearly. And you can pull off next shot in 26s, faster than most BBs. Pommern 380mm guns can't overmatch 27mm plating found on good number of hightier cruisers, Georgia's 457mm can overmatch 30mm, used in T10 cruisers. 457mm guns also hit like an absolute truck in terms of damage. Massa/Georgia/Ohio secondaries are accurate, but low penetration limits their effectiveness against anything bigger than DD and they remain "usable" without dedicated secondary build. Bismarck/Tirpitz/Pommern secondaries have higher pen, though 105mm guns still can't dent somewhat common 27mm plating on hightier cruisers. And you need full secondary build to make them usable. Georgia isn't a brawler with her armor layout and somewhat vulnerable citadel, Pommern is, bonus points for having torps. On other hand, Georgia can move around the map fast with up to 39kts top speed and improved acceleration from Engine Boost.

We need MOAR franchises! (Wh40k, Transformers... and..)
Panocek replied to FizzlePopBerryTwist's topic in General Discussion
Already in tanks. And do we really need 1230443488th Bismarck skin? -
Lesta should fix a couple of major mistakes in Vittorio Veneto's model, yet another Roma copy-paste
Panocek replied to JennyTheBelgian's topic in General Discussion
Actually, Shigure wasn't built in Sasebo, so not quite where "Shigure of Sasebo" came from, besides returning there for repairs. -

Still, WG already tested renaming vehicles with camouflages in World of Tanks Blitz. Even our own turf was kinda close to that with "Ajax" camouflage for Leander. So "Shigure" camouflage, in her Sasebo gray could be a thing. -

TL;DR control+c, control+v intensifies. And they aren't exactly wrong, because amount of people knowing about this or caring about "minor details" probably can be counted with fingers of a hand that held fragmentation grenade tad too long. -
Do developers actually read the forums?....
Panocek replied to Joehrax's topic in General Discussion
You can pick any color as long as it's black -
Way of the lootbox is strong within WG. And then purchasing additional camouflages to premium ships, which come with their own camouflages is pure vanity, as I've yet to see additional camo have improved economic benefits over standard one apparently there are few camouflages for few select ships that have improved economy gimmicks, but for those extra bonuses to "pay off" you usually would have to spend hundreds of games in the ship, compared to just converting same amount of doubloons into credits.
-
Maybe, MAYBE, upcoming Hizen, 12gun Izumo will be for free exp. But then this ship seems to follow "Vermont" route, as in pays dearly in accuracy AND reload for that extra set of barrels.
-
cashgrab? Still, getting perma camo on first try is nice-ish, as I've got few flags, on which sure as hell won't spend doubloons on.
