You mean like they did with Thunderstorm mechanic in Hermes operation, or "night battles" in Cherry Blossom?

Low accuracy rewards those who can't aim, especially if you can back it up with 12gun+ broadside. -
Playing "broken ships" and being an unprocessed french fries are two entirely different things. Not mutually exclusive though.

As shotguns like the Fuso or Lyon show, with enough barrels you can overcome any defficiencies with accuracy, be it built in sigma or user aiming error Also whole "DPM" measure increasingly I find to be a moot point, unless there is massive difference between ships in question. With BBs you're usually waiting for broadsides to show up unless you can overmatch stuff and/or slinging HE around. Broadside weight IMO plays higher factor than DPM coming from fast reload of weak shells - after all, it takes one glimpse to remove considerable chunk of hp with one BB salvo, while with "muh dpm" you need to work someone arse off for some time without that someone arse going into cover. -
Venezia seems like clear upgrade, not only one turret extra, but less pronounced citadel above water, also less ship to shoot at in general. My main issue with her stems from quirks of SAP ammo and your lack of options against angled BBs that just happen to be armored enough to ignore your SAP, while superstructure is already saturated If you want T10 ship that is clear downgrade over T9, that would be Khabarovsk. Back in the day Gearing used to be such case as well, but repeated hits with buff stick to the 16km torps made her "not downgrade" over Fletcher.

Variable tiers could be a thing as well, like "tier of the day: 5" WG can make monies out of this too, from all the dock slots and sudden captain movement/respecs, as well some premium ships With current CB setup, if someone doesn't have "meta" ship or any ship that can be considered "useful", usual answer is "just get it". And should WG go with variable tier instead handpicked allowed ships, then anyone who worked their way up to tier 10 still have access to previous ships.

Or something to closer RNGesus, one of main deities in Lesta office: random assortment of allowed ships that can be played, changes every day. Actually, figuring on the spot how to play such unpredictable lineups might kekworthy instead "Stalin go hump island at E3, like you always do since 2016"

Still, it would be funny experience to keep "unintended" rental CV for bit more time. You know, to fill the spreadsheet

I've bumped into one, got himself deplaned eating all the flak and ragequit, giving me nice 60k damage boost for RU/UK DD mission

Is FLAK as useless as claimed....when it is hitting planes attacking other ships ?
Panocek replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
Returning planes always were farmed and always were main source of casualties for CVs... -
what ships ingame could be "KV2"d do reflect significant refits

When WG will return to guided missiles, you can almost expect Iowa class with missiles as T10 prem. That or converted Fletcher/Gearing. -
I'm pretty sure you had much higher % of screeching in early days of the REEEwork and people simply moved on. Wargaming I think even launched links to CV polls in game for everyone to "voice their concerns" at some point. I don't see any major changes since then, so either amount of negative feedback was within "acceptable parameters" or most people just ignored it. Besides, people tend to "leave feedback" when they dislike something. If they consider X feature to be neutral, positive or even mildly annoying, they tend to sit quiet and just play (and pay) for the game. Therefore WG have tacit agreement from 80% of the players and money just keep flowing in, so why you would kill the golden goose? WG as company speaks and understands only one language - money. Speak it. To go anywhere with carriers, you would need NTC sized riots on all servers. And keep in mind, NTC was added to the game anyway in the end.

Don't like it? Don't play it. You like playing but don't like development decisions? Don't support the game with your wallet. It can't get any simpler than that.

You have 20-25k daily players, going just by EU player counter. Players that WG considers "active" ie logged in last month are probably in 40k territory, maybe higher. 8k people screeching out of 40k is considered success in WG book.

Whatever build you can come up with for EU destroyers, you will still have awkward ship. Gun oriented - you're too short ranged, you have neither smoke nor speed to do any shooting outside of mid-late game encounters with other destroyers Torpedo oriented - torps already reload fast-ish enough and no skill/upgrade can fix their abysmal damage AA (relevant only on Halland) - its very easy to remove your anti air from the ship, bringing you back to square one. And then you need to see CV in first place... which will strike you anyway because REEEwork Besides, WG will never fix "MM balance nonsense" because it is working as intended. If anything, since hardwired limit of T10 games for tier 8 an 9 ships, those are considerably more fun to play than T10.

Is FLAK as useless as claimed....when it is hitting planes attacking other ships ?
Panocek replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
Fully saturated flak walls also are uncommon, as that usually involves three or more "AA heavy" ships close (but not too close) to each other. And then flak with current spawn mechanic is giving as much leeway to you as possible - if flak were to spawn closer to the squadron instead "squadron enters flak just to eat last two damage ticks", then it would be both more effective at dealing damage and harder to evade. Most cases of "potato ate flak and squadron got wiped" usually require flying at normal speed, let flak spawn and literally boost into one. Actually, turning flak from "damage over time" zones into single tick damage might be overall better solution more effective against "skill" but also more forgiving for unprocessed french fries -

El2 always claimed flak is avoidable, not dps. And evading majority of flak is definitely doable, if not all of them. -

I think WG employee stated somewhere "flak damage area" is tied to caliber of dual purpose guns, thus Minotaur is supposed to have larger flak cloud than Akizuki. But I can't find where I've seen that. -
To shoot the ships, not get shot by ships, obviously

This tier 6 dd left untouched for way too long.
Panocek replied to ARE_YOU_HUMAN's topic in General Discussion
There is a reason why WG pushed Anshan and Marblehead as coal ships - they know they are on bad end of balans spectrum but instead buffing them, they released them for basically free. -

Which is working as intended, to bait players into thinking they can just reuse old captains on their shiny premiums. Bonus points for "making premium ships different than silver line" policy being preserved -

Or make use of EM and turret speed upgrade, which as Fushun shows, makes turrets very much usable. Heck, Ovechkin is custom crafted for Grem and Leningrad with his improved EM and SE. -

Bots do absolutely no flak evasion and eventually its what kills them. If you were to test dps, I suppose you'd have to disable AA until planes are within 3.5km -
Is FLAK as useless as claimed....when it is hitting planes attacking other ships ?
Panocek replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
Thing is, with usual shell vs ship interactions, ship usually have several seconds between pulling the trigger and shells reaching their destination, time that can be used angle to reduce incoming damage or WSAD hax their way through. With current CVs, time between pulling the trigger and projectiles on target is sub 1s for rockets and around two seconds for US/IJN bombs. Thus, I wonder if Ger CVs with longer bomb flight time and FDR long rocket flight time are WG testbeds to emulate shell flight time, so JustDodgeTM can live on. Planes that can't be killed before they drop their payload off are annoying, but kinda needed to avoid immunity. Planes that can't be killed before they drop and near hitscan projectiles they spew forth, is recipe for REEE. -

Now imagine ship in question being low hp which gets finished off by CV strike. You're not going to stop CV attack unless you stack entire team in 4 map squares tops, let alone in two ships, unless massive misplay happens on CV side.
