Unless "cruiser that plays like a BB" have 32mm or thicker plating all around, you're usually better off with "BB that plays like a cruiser"... at least as long as guns are up to BB standards

I'm just reusing the same argument WG WoT team delivered to those who REEE'd about news of upcoming inability to bring their OP toys to rankeds - "you still can play randoms". Thus, silver ship only CB, variable tiers or "banned ship list" would be one way of refreshing WoWs CB. Or Gaishu idea - allocated point cost for each ship. With a twist - the moment X ship start seeing increased usage in CBs, it will automatically have increased point cost, forcing teams to come up with different ships or accept smaller team size. On other hand, least used ships would have reduced point cost to "promote" them. Basically self regulating system.

WoT team somehow had no issues banning all premium/reward/event tanks from their Ranked season. And last time I've checked, Wargaming "main game mode" always were Randoms and I don't see anything about banning Stalingrad from those
