Alternatively: -go back to RTS -rebalance squadron size and payload to avoid situation "this CV can oneshot battleship, better give it 3min reload" -remove 3d spotting from strike aircrafts -replace fighters with designated spotter aircraft, only kind of plane that can 3d spot for other players and is rather vulnerable to AA when doing so. Could carry ASW payload later on -rework manual drop with gradually tightening dispersion since previous attack order - constant adjustments to manual drop location would have no accuracy bonus over autodrop, but, should you set it early and get good prediction on enemy movement, you'd be rewarded with increased accuracy of bomb/torpedo run. Oh and enable it on all tiers.

Well, skill rework already hinted battleships with TRB, so that would be one "noob friendly destroyer line" If CV is looking only for you, then all smokes are too short. But, not many CV players have attention span long enough to wait for 40-60s for smoke to dissipate, while fast reloading and multiple charges on Brit DDs makes their smokes as good counter as you can get one.

Introduce RU superlight cruisers, basically line of Smolensks but without citadel and with boosted concealment, classified as DD. IJN could get similar treatment with torpedo oriented light cruisers (Tenryu '43, Kuma '43, Nagara '44, Agano and end with Mogami class with 155) without citadel as well Here, quest is of achieved camrade Cruisers never countered DDs unless latter got himself spotted, while DDs at best could counter straightlining battleships, something torpedo armed cruisers can do as well.

Even potato CV, no matter how incapable they are with lining up strikes can effectively cancel lolibotes with spotting. Granted, that also requires teammates to try and to shoot said lolibote, but when it happens, its always the red ships doing the shooting

Atlanta was "balanced" back in CBT and outside of global changes and 0.2s reload buff, wasn't touched since. And yes, destroyers outranging Atlanta was a thing back in CBT as well, especially as hightier DDs could equip range mod and AFT. Also yes, any DD that could engage Atlanta past 8km was mostly safe, something you can't quite say for Atlanta, being bigger and so much clumsier ship US Dual Purpose Mortars (and IJN 100mm on Akizuki gang) had very low fire chance to balance their high rate of fire, which isn't entirely out of [edited]idea. Then you have Daring, Marceau and EU Bofors 1950 armed destroyers, which combine high volume of fire with decent to high fire chance... and solid torpedoes to boot -

Tier 6 and 7 uptier reasonably well given 6.1km detection and I'd say are better than Anshan and Jervis respectively. Aliexpress smoke is second best pick after UK DD smokes when it comes to interactions with carriers and probably best overall, as smoke lasts long enough to have some shooty fun, is generated for quite some time to cover larger area and have short downtime. For T8+ being gimped US clones... well yes, though if you're EXTRA brave, you can try radar gameplay, preferably in division. But besides that... one might say playing any other destroyer than UK is "whats the point" given perfect blend of gimmicks on those, and then Daring have outstanding gun damage output, putting into question existence of gunships like Harugumo.

You want to get shot in left or right kneecap? Aigle is okay destroyer, but suffers from terrible shell velocity and even worse firing arcs, thus more often than not you will be not using all 5 guns. At least she have full captain synergy with what you would normally build in French DDs. Błyskawica used to be great, but got massively powercrept and then tier 7 became one of the worse tiers to play with due to notorious uptiering. And her bad concealment is not exactly helping, when facing DDs with more than 1km concealment advantage. As captain trainer for EU destroyers, she can work, but those more often than not are specced for torpedoes, while Błyskawica is gun oriented

So... Today morning small update rolled out for WoWs. No big issue, downloaded it and installed... And somehow ended with 0.9.11 version. Game reports 0.9.11 and as server is still on 0.9.10, I can't log in. Repair function from WGC was used three times, latter two involved removing half of the files to "force" repair to actually do something. Replacing entire game folder with local backup of 0.9.6 version, letting it be rediscovered by WGC and then updating to newest version also resulted in 0.9.11 client Ideas?

Only accounts I've created were PTS ones, which should be unrelated, even more so as I haven't visited PTS in years at this point. WGC was correctly recognizing me as EU dweller all this time, I haven't tried relogging to WGC though Besides, yesterday I also updated WoWs on separate device and result was the same, 9.11 client when EU server still was 9.10. So its safe to assume its not one off case related to my PC being speshul.

No. Tier 9 supposedly have lowest odds of encountering CVs, but that doesn't mean you can't meet them at all. On positive, playing tier 1 is as free2play friendly as it can get -
