    haha very funni tweet wgee

Flat speed bonus would be much better than %, but then, WG actively got rid of any flat bonuses with comander REEEwork, so odds of getting actual flat bonus this time is not happening.
  2. I'd hazard saying golden years for this game are already in the past, as WG/Lesta studio switched from "developing fun game" to "monetizing it hard". Legendary IRL doesn't necessary translate to in game performance.
  3. This is part where "long term player" come into the picture, with years of active play under their belt? Alternatively unemployed, on holidays or otherwise with tad too much time WG is willing to take off your hand, preferably with your wallet? And "grind" is somewhat wrong approach. If you don't like the ships, odds are, next ones aren't going to suit you much and sure as hell the higher tier you go, the more unforgiving game becomes, which induces passive play from most players. So even if ship in question, like Des Moines can be mighty fun and a beauty as well, environment she will be put on can and will be outright frustrating at times.

Poll: Will you stop spending on the game?

At the same time, only skill that you actually need is Concealment. Whatever games I had since Comander REEEwork involved barebone 10 point build and tbh, anything extra is superficial. Gives both room to maneuver with spare skills later on and makes respecs cheaper, should WG realize CE is still a thing.

Poll: Will you stop spending on the game?

Except it opens can of worms of deliberately making premiums overperforming, only to "rebalans" them 3 months later, usually as CB/Ranked season ends.

Yūdachi in the Armory and Premium Shop

Yudachi returning I couldn't care less, but I wonder what happened to "we don't nerf premiums" policy

    Amagi Vs Tirpitz

  10. Well, lv120 botes are a given on 13-4, especially on higher danger levels. And unless you get omega lucky with next to no 3* CV nodes spawning, your real hope of getting full clear is after bringing danger level down. That or you have normally excessive healing output. If memory serves me right, I had something like Akashi-Alabama-Unicorn::Portland-Chapayev-Montpelier as mob fleet, with Taihou spankers consisting of Essex-Monarch-Warspite Retro::Roon-Sandy Retro-Seattle. For mob fleet, Perseus and Ryuuhou would be better fit if you have them and they are lv116+, while Cheshire could replace Montpelier if healers can't quite keep up with rate she's bleeding, Baltimore is great if you intend to go ham with US carriers. Azuma past dev25 also works as damage sponge. Torpedo oriented front could also works with manual play, but I had none of any value back then

    The "Zeven Provinciën" is coming!

I was looking at navweaps entry for those guns, Bofors 15cm/53 model 1942, which armed ship in question http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNNeth_59-53_m1942.php Even with best "historical" case scenario, we're talking about 10 rounds/min for surface action, the same as Ochakov. As for 120mm/50 model 1950 arming Halland twins, maxed out Smaland (BFT+reload mod) barely touches nominal rate of fire of those guns.

    The "Zeven Provinciën" is coming!

"Eendracht class", of which this ship supposedly is, was rated for 6 shells/min. Not exactly inspiring value. In best case scenario expecting "non ruski Ochakov" is as good as it can get, maybe with heal or other consumable to stand out.

    The "Zeven Provinciën" is coming!

Again, why bring only 8 peashooters when most CLs deliver 12 at this tier with rate of fire not far from 6s or equal in Cleveland case? Ochakov has hardly charming firepower and this ship will be effectively copy of it.
  14. Panocek

    The "Zeven Provinciën" is coming!

And only 8 guns. Ochakov say hi.
  15. No, this will be the time for WG to introduce new ships with boosted accuracy, so they can monetize your assets off again Create a problem and sell solution to it later.

    poll: best T8 radar cruiser?

Edinburgh, solid margin of stealth radar and her AP shells effectively combine CA kind of damage with CL rate of fire. Chapayev would be second, having tad longer effective gun range against maneuvering targets. Baltimore would be best CA due to tiny, but still stealth radar capacity, highest rate of fire short of MBRB'd Charles Martel and having overall good firepower/protection/agility package. And she's damn pretty boat to boot.

PT 0.10.3, balance changes. (DB 135)

Think of avg damage drop off caused by switching reload mod to range mod

    ST, Axis vs Allies

https://aw.my.games/en/news/general/realistic-battle-mode-here Random idea from other company that actually could make modicum of sense for Axis vs Allies mode, where manual, visual friend-or-foe identification and camouflage that actually serves its purpose would be actually useful. In WoWs terms it could be: -all ships are permanently visible, but ships outside of their normal detection range for their current state enemies cannot get locked on, which means accuracy and aiming assist loss. Example - Kagero cannot be locked on past 5.4km unless it opens fire, then it can be locked on up to her guns maximum range for 20s. -all/most UI cues are disabled -friendly ships are marked only on the minimap

    kiev or ognevoi?

To be honest, neither. Ognevoi is torpedoboat, but not because of having good torpedoes, but due to being so hilariously undergunned, to the point IJN "torpedoboats" casually can bully you into submission with their guns. Ognevoi concealment also leaves a lot to be desired and having all the consumables doesn't really fix disappointing ship underneath. Next ship, Udaloi is effectively "alternate Tashkent", as in open water gunboat with nonexistent concealment that traded some of the speed and range for consumables and surprisingly serviceable torpedoes. Grozovoi is supposed hybrid, in practice she is mediocre across the board AND she's big and clumsy. Kiev and then Tashkent technically are peak of RU open water gunboats, but that is ship genre that was massively powercrept over the years and then they are completely helpless against carriers. To top it off, Khabarovsk is meme tier bad with overnerfed range and rudder shift.

    DD vs DD Gun Fights

DD gun engagements, especially early on are won by having more green barrels pointing at the enemy than enemy having red barrels pointing at you. Which usually means, solo yolo adventures are quick and reliable way of going back to port, thus you want to create "unfair" fights as often as possible. Which usually means breaking contact with smoke while (preferably unspotted) teammate keeps enemy spotted during 20s concealment penalty after firing.

    Aoba any good?

Furutaka have the most potent guns at tier 5, but slow reloading. Combined with improved IJN CA accuracy, any misses or shells that shatter/ricochet you will feel badly. Aoba improves gun reload, but in return loses ability to launch torps forward. Myoko, while is very much capable, if not gold standard of a T7 heavy cruiser, if forced into bow on, her firepower drops down to what Furutaka have, only two turrets.

Ohio vs Marco Polo -- Scandal

Guns should be still as potent as ever while Ohio can equip range mod without compromising Accuracy or Reload one. And angled Montana hull at longer ranges can be outright annoying to deal with Still, why get Ohio when Georgia existed at tier lower in more fun package?
  23. WG doesn't care, neither shall you. Don't like it? don't play it, "posting feedback" won't fix anything.

put Nelson and Lyon to Tier 8

More like, why WG would bother spending development time on asset flipping creating new ship at tier lower than 9 and sell it accordingly for 10-30€, when they can spend the same effort and sell it for 60€ or more? Especially as Balans Team can ensure its popularity for the duration its expected to be available for sale
  25. Panocek

put Nelson and Lyon to Tier 8

While its sad to see fun ships go, even worse is fact there is no shortage of historical or even museum ships removed simply because someone at Lesta botched their work the first time when balancing ships... No, botched isn't correct word. It would apply on initial Belfast, Gremyashchy or Kutuzov releases 5 years ago, but since then, "deliberate action" is about right when it comes to describing all the premium ships WG introduced and then pulled from sales, only for them to reappear during Christmas lootbox fiesta But again, those who got interested in game after visiting Massachussets, Smaland or reading about [insert ship name WG added and then removed] gets short end of the stick. Why sell your work for 20€ when you can charge 80€ and it still will sell like hot cakes
