What is dying, is playerbase that is willing to put brain matter into action when it comes to playing the game. Which is very much in WG favor - thinking man may or may not plan his journey through the tiers and make educated decision about ship purchases, while usual potato probably will throw wallet first, then ask questions later. -
X for doubt Z-52 skins. Postapocalyptic, Space and "standard" permacamo Only "Space" one is rated for 8k dubs, rest is cheaper. Unless WG is going to rectify that and raise all prices to 8k and above?

Black and gold is nice combination, but again, massively overpriced especially as ship in question already comes with functional camouflage. Other color palette I've used to enjoy was grey-black-green dazzle camo, present on UK destroyers. Honorable mention also goes to alternate colors on IJN permanent camos (white-blue-black). Shame "standard" camouflages use color closer to a teal than blue proper. One feature that *might* justify pricetags for permanent camos would be color/pattern selector for permanent camos. Pick your own pattern from those available in game, pick own colors and voila. Issue is, if WG is fine charging 5-8k for T10 perma camo, such feature probably will be rated at 10k+ dubs

I'd hazard a guess bringing 380mm guns into "cruiser" slot is unique enough. That said, this particular caliber lost quite a lot of its value with armor/IFHE rework year (?) ago. -

Well, your BB survivability statistic seems to disagree with that Any effort spent into making secondaries viable will deliver better results if it would be redirected towards main gun usage. No matter how hard you squint your eyes, DD and CL caliber guns aren't going to match efficiency of a big bad boomstick, especially not after the accuracy nerf for the former.

Secondary BBs the yolo way? No. Secondary BBs with enemy in secondary range but also with relative safety for the ship, should opportunity present itself? Yes. Besides, only secondary BBs where it was somewhat worth to invest into "secondaries" were Massa and Georgia (and probably Ohio). On Germans, tank+main gun focus was universally better and more consistent

Every BB have enough hp to yolo into secondary range and short of eating full spread of torps, somehow receiving citadel hits or enjoying focus fire of half of the enemy team, its not going to disappear just like that. And only "meaningful player input" you can have to improve secondaries is to designate target by clicking on it. Not exactly very demanding, does it?

No, just like there is no interaction between ship and secondaries. And given one is completely automated, you can't make it balanced, it will be either underpowered or overpowered. Georgia always was about main guns, secondaries were just one of many gimmicks to please Saint Spreadsheet.

If BBs can effectively kill destroyers, their "supposed counter" without any meaningful player input, can you spot the issue there? hint: its in line with RTS carriers and AA interaction, where entire strike group could cease to exist without any skilled input.

Again, unless at least 3rd of your damage came from secondaries, they are not worth investing into. And that 3rd of damage done must be consistent, not once-every-100-battles situation.

Which, if nothing else, proves main armament is something you want to focus on, not pretty looking but otherwise useless small caliber pewpewkanones.

This is part where you embrace fact WG don't want you to have effective secondaries, due to nerf to Secondary accuracy skill. Don't like it? Don't play it, screeching won't fix anything. -

Except currently new destroyers are "dual purpose" in a sense of failing both DD and cruiser tasks at the same time. Significantly outspotted AND outgunned even by the ships hardly known for their artillery prowess. While 25mm hull might give some survivability against DD caliber HE it is countered by massive superstructure and it also means any and all small-to-medium caliber AP will happily arm on this plating. And turret layout is not exactly conductive towards bow on gameplay either.

Issue is, pressing "cruiser into DD slot" is only detrimental to the team, as it loses destroyer proper, with concealment to carry out usual DD tasks. "Cruiser in DD slot" to be remotely viable requires having an actual cruiser firepower, not half the barrels and double the reload as its the case of new Ger DDs. Even existing Russian or French gunboats are hardly damage output queens, though Frenchsters get some burst capability with MBRB. citadel-less IJN torpedo cruisers (Nagara, Sendai, Agano, Mikuma) confirmed?
