    Developer Bulletin for Update 0.10.8

Breaking news - Germans did not started the war with STGs-44, King Tigers and Ta-152s either. Concept of massed infantry with automatic weapons proved effective, thus it was further developed with next, cheap and easy to mass produce guns. Limitations of a drum mags also were recognized and those were gradually replaced with much more reliable stick mags, that also were easier to carry. Your usual field gun isn't going to like sprinkling even with small arms fire either. Barrel and breech block probably aren't going to get damaged (much), but elevation/traverse controls, yes. Let alone crew manning it. Did I mention if you can fire at field guns with small arms fire, odds are, you can walk to them later and put some explosives or thermite or whatever else you might have at hand to render gun unusable? Tigers and any other exotic pieces of German overengineering were extremely scarce commodity on all fronts, 95% of the tanks faced by Russians, US or UK were StuGs or Panzers III/IV. And tank warfare rapidly proved to be "he who identifies target first and fires win". Not the size of the boomstick or thickness of the plating. That said, Russians rapidly put out an answer to big cats Germans were delivering in shape of SU-152, as well future heavy tanks (IS series) had oversized 122mm gun both for breakthrough and tank busting, as even HE shell proved to be crippling for tanks and their crews, let alone anything less armored.

    ASW weapons

ASROCs like those on Friesland/Halland twins/Nevsky cannot be aimed, they just fire forward and projectiles land +-2km in front of you. Yes, my first attempt as ASW with Halland was usual "get over enemy sub and press G for GG", only to notice rockets going in front of me as I haven't expected WG to actually model them. And they are still branded as "depth charges" too and yes, you can encounter subs in Coop and you can practice ASW on those.

WG joke: no anti-sub weapon in ranked!!!

Amusingly, premiums that don't have ASW are often of "overpowered" variety, rest tend to have. And even then, few of "OP" toys like Kamikaze ("R" at least) have these anyway, so its more like ASW equipment was handed out at random than with any particular logic. "WG don't want to nerf these later" is a moot point after what happened with CV REEEwork anyway. "Weaker than tech tree equivalent so they can be buffed later if needed" doesn't apply either, Molotov for example have 2x12 DCs per drop compared to 2x6 on Budyonny, same damage and reload. Monaghan have 1x8 compared to 1x6 on Farragut, again, same damage and reload. Benson and Kidd have identical 2x10 DC payload

    Wargaming shitstorm reaches outside media

Spreadshiet go stonks from all the advertisement savings But knowing WG, nothing will change, if anything, they will double down on lootboxes and BS monetization of offset whatever financial losses they might have suffered. Its not like they don't have entire library of removed, sought after premiums to throw into loot boxes, balans spreadshiet be damned when financial one calls for such action. They already put Enterprise in limited loot boxes like half a year ago already, Miss being merely second test of that.

    CLAN BATTLE SEASON

Looking at what changed... or didn't changed with CV REEEwork over last three years almost, I have severe case of X for doubt. Some people will leave, new ones will come, WG will continue loot box BS, CVs will remain broken as they are and Earth will continue spinning through space

Peegee at it again with missouri.

WG already circumvented using coupons in the Armory by adding new ships as "featured" tab, instead "ships" tab. Try buying any new ship with coupon from the armory Given Missouri never was particularly great ship to begin with, yes. I can see all the disappointment and then some when someone whales disturbing amount of money on her only to find out she's worse Iowa that didn't aged well with game changes over the years.

    Missouri event and economics

This elephant in the room is deliberate action, not some random happenstance. Its not the "help I've accidentally put loot boxes in my game" meme, not after what, three years by now of testing the waters?
  9. Low to mid BRs, up to 5.0 are indeed fun and reasonably easy achievable for planes and tanks. "Ships proper", at least since split of coastal and navy proper can also be considered "fun", as long as you're facing only enemies of your own kind ie destroyers fighting only destroyers. When you bump into cruiser with your destroyer, you may or may not rapidly find yourself out of options while CL erases your ship and your crew in no time. And unlike WoWs, you have ships/guns without artificially improved stats for "balancing reasons", looking at you, Akizuki with your puny 100mm guns. Guns that also are stuck with time fused shells, that are hilariously ineffective for anti air duties compared to proximity fuses
  10. Ah yes, replace one shipshow with another

    Missouri event and economics

"Impact on economy" on rather tiny pool of players that probably are already sitting on all the credits and not much to spend them on already. In such instance, commemorative flag with credit bonus that could be used on other ships would be seen more as token of appreciation for old ship geezers for sticking with the game despite whatever Lesta thrown at them over the years. Looking at maplesyrup and last three weeks of Missouri activity, she was played by two digit to low three digit number of players, with average number of battles being in line with other removed T9 premiums like Georgia, Musashi or Jean Bart. Which happens to be less than average no. of battles of T9 premiums that remain in sales. Which to me looks like what I've initially said - whoever left of the old gang of Missouri owners, they tend to take her for a spin out of boredom than "I need credits pronto". Maybe there are accounts with Missouri and then went dormant, reactivated only recently that would benefit from "credit overbuff" to satiate desire to get new T10 ships, upgrades for them and whatnot, but I have grounds to believe these would be minority within minority.
  12. Its bold of you to assume company would willingly cut down on their profits, as production cost goes down due to ever expanding library of assets for reuse, while customers are used to current prices. Heck, WG has been testing waters how high they can raise prices for years now, first with introduction of tier 9 and 10 ships as well ever increasingly fascinating bundles overinflated with stuff to justify 100€+ pricetags, and now increasing push towards gambling to extract even more money.
  13. It seems fine until you notice amount of those boss drops for later ascensions Pretty much.

Commemorative flag that also gives credit bonus, at least feel slightly more permanent option than "permanent" missions that already are known to be not so permanent? Also flex piece for old players. Also, where is the harm of "overbuffing" credit income for old Missouri owners? Given she's old ship, odds are, there aren't many old owners around anymore and those who still play, most likely are sitting on mountain of credits, most if not all tech tree ships and have dozen or more other premiums anyway, so WG is not going to gain or lose much by being excessively precise with credit bonus for limited number of players.

    REMOVE SUBS from COOP please!!!

Instructions unclear, ships other than submarines are not allowed to enter coop anymore

    Missouri event and economics

After what happened, couldn't Wargaming for once give sign of good will and offer ship, Missouri, straight in the shop like any other premium boat, while web based event with in game tasks to carry out acting as Dockyard equivalent, to lower the price of the ship based on how many tasks would be completed? Those who want Missouri due to her significance can get her by tossing wallet at the screen with no questions asked, while players might get opportunity to get "infamous" Missouri at discounted price by doing tasks, like they already are used to from all the Dockyard events, just in slightly roundabout fashion.
  17. Because what players or CCs perceive as "issues", are deliberate and well thought out company actions in order to maximize revenue, long term consequences be damned.
  18. Getting boss specific materials cost resin and its not exactly fast process. Are you sure you want to get one [insert boss specific drop] per 40 resin? Because normal drop rate is 2and on AR50+, lowest character level I'd be somewhat comfortable to bring onto open world is lv60a4, which means 16 of the boss material and around 60 of local specialties Also, it is known Chasm will be prelude to Sumeru, whether it will be just minor area Dragonspine style that happens to be on the border between Liyue and Sumeru, or you need to clear the road via lengthy questline before you can even set foot on the land of the smarts, we don't know.
  19. I've yet to get any actually decent pieces of new sets either, I can almost feel tinfoil hat assembling itself and readying to be worn Though for Baal all you can do now are talents, as boss drop materials and local specialties are locked to new, not yet released islands. On second thought, imagine someone picking up Genshin in few years down the line, randomly pulling Snezhnayan character, but road to Snezhnaya being questwalled by all the story quests, so you can't actually use the lad/lass until you're AR45+ from story quests alone
  20. Still, given weapon billets aren't exactly common, despite having option to buy them from trinket/jeweler shops, I'd focus on getting actually useful weapons first. And craftable weapons vary between pretty good to "you could do worse", all depends on who will use them. Mentioned Crescent Pike and Xiangling is match made in heaven for physical dps and very usable for elemental skills, Prototype Archaic is also extremely flexible claymore. Also, you will pick up, eventually, 4* weapons from normal "character" gacha. Also in the long run you might get 5* weapon(s) from standard banner. On the upside, should you randomly lukshit and get Yoimiya, she is actually very f2p friendly, as both Prototype Crescent and Hamayumi craftable bows are pretty good on her, especially if you don't have Rust laying around. Still, getting Yoimiya or Baal won't do you any favors, as until you get your assets onto Inazuma archipelago, you won't be able to actually level them up

    Please change dd ifhe

You don't need IFHE to damage superstructures, while bonus to penetration is effectively meaningless, not worth fire chance sacrifice. And if skill is pointless 99% of the time, then it kinda goes against supposed goal of "build diversity", you know, one of the official reasons for Captain REEEwork in first place
  22. Xiangling with Crescent Pike also becomes very viable physical dps if you feel like poking someone to death, as her fast, multistrike attacks capitalize on Crescent Pike passive immensely - whenever you pick up elemental particle, any normal/charged attack add another instance of damage equal x% of user atk. And given Xiangling is all about speed instead oomph, that passive means between additonal 3rd to doubling her damage output, depending on her attacks. Also, higher base attack on Crescent Pike makes it better weapon even if you'd want to use eccentric cook only for her pyro skills. And there are no strictly physical characters. Even "primarily physical users" like Razor or Eula still have Visions to them and still can apply elements, they just tend to not be very good at making big colorful numbers
  23. DON'T. Dragonspine spear is for all intents and purposes downgrade over other physically oriented craftable pointy stick, Crescent Pike.
