Are you sure about recorded battles? Cause it certainly doesn't slate yesterday's date. I don't struggle with the game at all, I've still got a lot to learn, but I'm not struggling. But arguing with a brick wall like you and piritskenyer espiecally when you can't even tell, whether that is through your own ignorance and arrogance, that 14" guns won't cut Tier 8, it would not an extremely significant buff to work, and would mean replacing the 14" guns with 15" guns.
-
I can employ words of any size that I need to. P.S I'd certainly not be a Junior Officer, that is for sure cause I wouldn't even join the Navy. But the rank would still be higher. PPS: Talking about personal attacks, but please, stay a d*ck. It won't change a dime that the KGV is not Tier 8. PPPS: Warships, today hasn't tracked all battles, meaning privacy settings does block stat sites.

I wasn't saying No Cal was protected in those areas, just that it's area of protection was wider than on the KGV class
-
As I thought, third party site which is using information from over a month ago. And you were saying 14" without being specific, and no it really doesn't work that well at all. Maybe vs cruisers but it struggles to penetrate the battleships, though it is possible if none of your rounds hit the superstructure. And you have no idea how balance works since you want a woefully underpowered garbage scow and at tier 8
-
Actually I do play the game and I have an idea on how such weapons would work, New Mexico barely works in a Tier 8 game, by your logic that BB should dominate that tier even as a tier 6 BB. And second, my account is set to private, so you don't know how many battles I've done with the Tirpitz so stop talking out your arse.

[edited] 1. No, 14" guns won't cut it at Tier 8, I will repeat this till you finally get the message even if it does take a million years. 2. At Tier 8, it would need 15" guns, quite an extensive buff because 14" guns won't work at that high tier, unless you want Scharnhorst Volume 2. 3. The only illogical reasoning is yours. 4. The only nerfs the KGV would need, is to the main belt, from 14.7" to 14" but even without it should be fairly balanced, AA is arguable, it may not need it's AA nerfing and neither of these are as extensive as changing the ships entire main armament from 10x14" guns to 9x15" guns.
-
At least I know which tier it belong in. Even if it does need a slight nerf it wouldn't be as extensive as the buff it'd need for Tier 8.
-
Also, the only way KGV would be Tier 8, is with 15" guns, the 14" guns won't cut it and I've stated that several times.
-
And at Tier 8 she'll be an overtiered garbage scow. And no, you haven't mentioned battles but other people have, I was including that in general, rather than any one person.
-
The core argument from what I can find, is the armour in this thread, not how do you balance it.
-
You're tiresome. And the only arguments brought up, is her armour, and cherry picked battle reports without even taking into consideration of the range and ammount of ships in the engagements.
-
Any ship used to attack commercial ships is classed a "Commerce Raider" whether it was explicitly designed to do so or not, and Scharnhorst and KGV are equally matched. Also, both out outmatched by the Colorado and her 8 16" Mark 5 guns.
-
Malfunctions are malfunctions, whether she was still being constructed or not, and did have complex Quad turrets, which were problematic. Also, they are on par with one another and I will keep to that statement.
-
Not sure how adequate it was, but I think the NC was protected over a wider area than on Prince of Wales, which was struck by 4 Torpedoes which impacted outside the SPS.
-
HMS Hood is most likely to be used in a Fast Battleship/Battlecruiser line, Nelson can be reserved for another branch or to cross branch at tier 7.
-
And I disagree, KGV and Scharnhorst are on par, assuming nothing breaks as Scharnhorst was sunk because of malfunctioning range finders and Prince of Wales suffered both range finding and turret breakdowns during the hunt for Bismarck.

1. Bending Reality to suit game balance is not OK, so yes changing the 10x14" guns to 10x15" guns without changing the gun visuals to match (which would require a turret redesign, which turns into a completely unrealistic ship and turns WG into a laughing stock) is an extremely bad idea. 2. Scharnhorst 11" guns can penetrate more armour than the King George V-class 14" guns, due to flatter trajectory of the shell at long range, only at short and extreme range will the KGV-class have better penetration here (note: this is belt armour penetration, 14" guns have superior deck penetration power). So Scharnhorst isn't even overtiered, just outmatched by same tier BB's and KGV would be that, twice fold at Tier 8. And yes it should be fine at Tier 7 and balanced with 14" guns (again, Scharnhorst has flatter trajectory) 3. Bismarck was heavily damaged, and was engaged at close range by 14" guns which could take full advantage of it's close range penetrating power. Also the captain had attempted, and failed, to scuttle the Bismarck prior to the engagement, making it an easy Target and was finished off by a salvo of Torpedoes fired from a Destroyer. Also, Scharnhorst suffered a failure with it's rangefinders, and was hopeless against HMS Duke of York. Assuming it's rangefinder hadn't suffered a mechanical malfunction, the battle may have ended differently.
-
Prince of Wales scored 2 decisive hits on Bismarck, one to the bow and the other below water line, so still not the best comparison.
-
This, literally, has to be the worst proposal. You might as well make guns on the Iowa and Montana into 18" guns with the visuals of a 16" gun kind of bad idea. It's more practical to give it the 3x3 15" guns. And she wouldn't be overtiered at Tier 7, she would however be overtired at Tier 8, that is clear by her armament. And in terms of timeline, the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau were both laid down 2 years before KGV, launched 2 years before KGV and commissioned 1 year before KGV. In fact, in game that would be her primary adversary.
-
Considering it's main adversary is most likely Gneisenau that does seem fair, as it too is a fairly modern design compared to the Colorado and Nagato. But I don't believe stretching reality is the answer.
-
Depends though, KGV can be split into 2 tiers, with the Nelson still remaining at Tier 7 as a Branch off.
-
The good old times of the Vickers 14" gun.
-
I'm willing to put money on it......
-
WG will create fake ships, don't you worry about that.

Can't wait for the premium, Rodney.
