Was thinking of it, but couldn't think of any real reason to have the Albacore regulated to Dive Bombing.

http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/41988-aircraft-suggestion-royal-navy/page__fromsearch__1 My thoughts on the Aircraft for the RN.

Used to but not anymore which is a shame, would love to have them use the Sea Vampire
-
Well, that will be easy to sort out with the Spearfish, which was designed for the Malta-class Carrier, as a Torpedo and Dive Bomber, and either the Fury, Seafang or Seafire F 47
-
HMS Victorious will obviously be a premium. Also known as USS Robin. I don't think we'll get either the Centaur and Audacious-class Carriers though Audacious will likely be tier 9 with a buffed up hangar bay or put at tier 7-8 with Implacable-class at tier 9. Argus and Hermes will be tier 4 and 5 respectively, HMS Attacker will likely be a Tier 5 Premium, HMS Ruler can be a Tier 5 standard, though most likely be a premium as well, though they are both still Bogue-class Escort carriers.
-
Dreadnought is definitely tier 3, having it 1 tier above Bellerophon doesn't make that much sense unless you plan to upgun it.
-
Majestic-class is very reminiscent to the Mikasa
-
Plus, Repulse and Renown are very impressive Battlecruisers, just like the Admiral-class.
-
Tiger would have to be placed at tier 5 though, all thought not 100% suitable she is superior to both Myogi and US Tier 4, not the in armament but in speed. Same goes for Repulse and Renown, they are faster than most cruisers at tier 6
-
True, Russia will obviously get the IL-2 as one aircraft
-
Montana line was 67-71. My guess is, if we get the Iowa Carrier conversion, we'll probably also get a Montana carrier conversion knowing WG, the Iowa conversion was similar in capability to the Essex class.
-
No, Midway's hull design was based on BB-67 USS Montana.
-
Similar situation also goes for CV lines, all sides is possible with designs but they'd need made up Carriers to fill it up for Germany, Russia, France and Italy. US BB-61-class Carrier conversion
-
Think they can get up to Tier 4, then they jump to Tier 9. OK I am being untruthful, they could get a few Italien BB;s, but still wouldn't get it passed Tier 6
-
That's what I think too, + Repulse and Renown will probably end up being too OP at Tier 5 with those 15" guns. And screw the L3 hehehe
-
Better paper than fake ships, and WG aren't afraid to put in a fake if it means filling up a tree. As for the name HMS Centurion, there are only 2 ships past the 1900's with that name, a King George V class Battleship and a planned but cancelled Cruiser in 1945-46 As for HMS Anson, is it me or is that a KGV hull?
-
It's not RNGish, just a real pain the arse. She's better at Short Range, but if you get close you soon die within seconds (so getting close range is a bad idea), and she is terrible at Long Range, though she can work we you figure out how to aim those 16" guns (funny thing is, they have a faster muzzle velocity than the NM but shells take longer to get to the target).
-
Not sure what can replace the Orion class
-
Same also goes for Light and Heavy cruisers as well.
-
Royal Oak is however smaller, slower but better protected than Queen Elizabeth, so I could work at Tier 7 but it would need to be seen in practice. Another Battleship that could be placed in the tree is the Battleship X design study, 45'000 tons and armed with 6 16"/50 guns in 2 Triple turrets, a secondary armament of 6-8 4.5" Mk VI guns. Could be interesting to build up as a tier 9.
-
Howe would essentially be KGV with 15" guns, so it should work in theory. Also, Royal Oak and Repulse should also work, though it would need to be seen in practice.
-
I think 2 full lines and 2 half lines. Quick job with my paint skillz Light Cruiser line is for reference, and can't think of a tier 9 and 10 for one of the lines thought it would probably converge onto the Lion-class. M2 and M3 have 4x2 and 3x3 18" guns respectively, so these may need toning down. HMS Hood is probably going to be premium, so HMS Anson, a cancelled Battlecruiser of the same class, would take her place in the tree. Edit 1: HMS Incomparable might be a good battleship to be added. Might also make for a useful hull at tier 10 in a second carrier line.
-
How many British Battleship/cruiser lines could we actually get considering all paper projects like the J3 Battlecruisers?
-
I'll start getting some research done for actual numbers.
-
If the Bismarck was at tier 7 then yes.
