All this is very simple, and has nothing to do with "improvement" or "cowardice", "shame": I went Private because I don't want to share actual, factual data of my time/financial commitment to the game. As simple as that. RL reasons. (then I've discovered the pleasure of simply enjoying this as a hobby, stepping out of the treadwheel, but that came secondary) But the majority here threw a tantrum, insulted all who play Private as cowards, incompetents etc etc... "Oh really? Well guys, I can give you an analysis or two of you too." And as it happens on gaming forums, it escalated quickly. Blew out of proportions. I am sorry for the course it had taken and I do apologize to all who felt being unjustly hurt, but it was harsh-reaction-followed-by-even-harsher-response and so on and on. I honestly wish you all the best possible scores, improvement 'n all, but please don't insult the people who chose to go Private. You all are throwing a tantrum because some players won't share their stats with you. Do you realize how immature and needy it makes you? C'mon, let's talk straight: you wouldn't be throwing this tantrum out of mere altruism to "analyze and help improve fellow gamers", your anger and frustration is waaaay too strong for that. Nah, it's the epen compensation. You are made to jump the hoops. Run the rat race in a wheel. Chase the damn stats, in a race forced on you. And you know what's the worst part? Most of you don't even realize how conditioned you are. A goood one, gratz, but wrong in two fundamental points: I don't "need to go anywhere" here, not "seeking improvement". In what, a silly pass time? Measuring what? And proving what, to whome? This "going anywhere, seeking improvement" is for a RL. There it's stats and performance analysis and all that crap, it's reserved for a truly serious stuff in life. A job. Not for a time to sip Mojitos and shooting some ships. Besides, us privateers are not the ones running around, chasing each other's tails, hurry hurry, shouting "why are you not showing your stats like us?!!!! as the bunch in the wheel do. We are quiet and enjoy. You guys are the irritated ones, unable to sit back, relax and enjoy.

Of course it is possible. As many other things are, like some of you are filthy rich and without a care in the world, ultra-successful captains of industry, whatever, all is possible... but common sense and science and life experience overwhelmingly say it's a mechanism of compensation. By looking at your replies, it is evident you simply can't grasp (or tolerate) the fact someone is different, immune to rat race the gaming companies made you run. And doesn't need to take any part in that, taking all this gaming thingy simply as a hobby. The moment you see you merely want to measure epen, you'll be making your first step toward solving issues that quietly make you susceptible to seeking compensation in running the wheel from the picture below. It is not decieving but keeping something private, thus removing yourself from all this "let's measure epens" nonsense made to compensate some more serious failures than gaming. One of the guys, I think it was Leo_Apollo11 or Verblonde, made a great post on how to reduce FPS in port, so it won't be 100% GPU usage there. It was simple, "go in there, open this file, then in the line XXX change the value YYY with lesser, ZZZ". I've done it, worked like a charm, but now I've changed PC, reinstalled the game, and for the life of me can't remember what it was nor can I find that topic on a Forum. HELP!

No I am not. This is my hobby, and I'm careful to keep the amount of my time/nerves/investment into a "pleasurable and carefree relaxation" from an intense job I have. It means staying away from all the in-game things that might slip into RL as annoyance, or taking too much precious free time. the fact is you have unhealthy obsession with stats, a sure sign of RL loser who seek compensation for something (your mentioning of "have balls" might indicate what)

A pass time, nothing more than this. - You do realize you are talking to a set of pixels that form the word Siagor on your screen? So all the "help" or "trashing" goes from pixels to pixels. (not to mention "improving") - OK, i will mention "improving". Do you realize that the core of competing for better gaming stats is a rat race made by gaming companies so you will a) invest more and more time - and real money of course - because b) this rat race is made as a compensating mechanism for RL underachieving.

This is "keeping stats private". Can you give me one sane, intelligent reason why would I disclose my hobby data to the world?

In all seriousness, this split may be the thing we need here. All the changes toward unfair elements were incited from St Petersburg, to please CIS mentality and culture ("Might is right, let's grief!") If now the games can be different, WG might optimize gaming content for different markets - their income depends on it - and pay more attention to fair play and decent balance EU and US markets cry for.
