Good post. My biggest gripe with CVs, apart from spotting, is when in a DD I encounter a CV LATE GAME e.g. when you absolutely, positively have to take a cap for example; they just fly directly to cap and nuke you. Similarly in late game you may be trying to flank or get some spots - CV will toast you. The counterplay options are very limited and therefore makes it feel unfair and unfun

Getting good at something still doesn't make it fun or enjoyable. I can, mostly, handle CVs but I don't like it. Also, I would suggest that getting to unicum takes more than "a bit of effort". In fact it probably takes thousands of hours of effort.

Not defeatist - realist I'm sure most DD players, obviously not the unicums on this thread, would say that games with CVs are less enjoyable. And when a game isn't enjoyable well...

Loving the defence of the undefencable. Wait till subs arrive and DDs are expected to handle them too. Git gud! Pffft

Agree. You can turn off AA, hang back, dodge, be erratic but if the CV wants you dead you're fish food.

I would actually pay for better PVE content; I'd certainly rather pay for it than yet more paper premiums. I'm sure there are plenty of others who are the same

It's dumb that you can't click the container to open it; both my daughters (not the target demographic) initially tried to click the container. Aren't items in most games opened by clicking them directly rather than a button at the side of the screen?

I'm grinding neptune just now. The armour is hilariously bad. You get citadelled from literally every angle (if not dev struck). Nose in? Angled? Running away? Doesn't matter; death by bum bum

The colonel is correct and... I always cry a little inside when I load into an Operation and see more than one DD on my team; usually they just don't have the DPS or staying power required and are among the first to die.

I'm bored with the battle modes: random, coop, ranked etc it's all a bit similar I wish they'd reinstate the old Ops or create some new ones; if nothing else they add variety

Got nowhere near enough free xp. In fact the only free xp boat I've ever bought was Nelson. Don't know how people manage to accrue so much. Talking of which : credits - never have enough. Got Mino, Cleveland, tier 8 UK bb, tier 8 German DD, tier 7 UK heavy cruiser, fat freddy all researched but can't afford to buy them. Grrrrrr

What would be a decent GPU in the £100-£150 range. I have a nvidia geforce gtx 550 ti but it's not really cutting it these days.

Have to say my faves are : Leander: daka (no HE though, so you need to position to the side to get angles), smoke, hydro and heal. Probably my main stay Molotov: guns, guns, guns. Super accurate, long range, fast, hit hard. The ship itself is very weak, albeit fast, but the guns range helps with that. Go fly that russki kite. Warspite: great guns, manoeuvrable but not fast. Armour holds up well in OPs. Devonshire: been playing it a bit as part of the British Heavy Cruiser arc. Its a decent all rounder. Not the best but enjoy it. Used to LOVE the old Cleve for OPs, it was a monster.

Subs will be properly balanced before they go live; I have faith in Wargaming to do the right thing.
