They've already made the choice. You have yours to make. I've been using WG products for years and years and people often say "if WG don't do what I want I'm off....." or words to that effect. If a company turns over a half billion USD in a year the ranting of one or two players not getting things their way makes less difference than a barnacle makes to a whale.

Its immaterial because what WG want is what happens. They want you to get tier VI ships for this. At other times you'll need even higher tier ships to complete missions because WG have decided that's where they want you to work those missions. And your choices will be based on their decisions, not your desires.

They can change the ship. They nerfed Minekaze heavily after I bought camo for her in the 15/16 new year period.

I wouldn't play a cruiser over Tier V without smoke after having played the RN line to Neptune.

Stop trying to blame your losses on anyone else but yourself. Games are easier at the weekend because enemy players are clueless. I've played 8 battles today and won 87.5%... I've won 10 of the 15 battles I've played this weekend.

Scharnhorst is a great ship. Admiral Graf Spee is not good. Also, there may never have been a more aesthetically pleasing ship than Scharnhorst.

I've finished off an already nearly dead DD with secondaries but no outright demolitions so far.

Have both Fujin and Kamikaze R, so no Kamikaze required. Might buy Smith.

Minekaze has been horribly nerfed. Do the reading. I'm not interested in it's historical stats, nor have I posted here that Minekaze is OP. The premium nature of the Kamikaze/Fujin are the primary reason they are OP because they allow retrofitting Tier X commanders into Tier V battles.

Minekaze is no longer OP. Fujin and Kamikaze are premium ships and players will put their 15+ point captains in them. A detec range of 5.4km at tier V plus superb torpedoes is OP. The global 57% WR doesn't lie.

People still play cruisers with no smoke at high tiers...

Yes, Shiratsuyu is really entertaining. It has only one disappointing aspect which is that it is slow. It has nice guns for an IJN of the tier, fires 8 10km torpedoes and can fire another eight within 5 seconds if using the completely broken torpedo reload module (seriously - what were they thinking?)
