IFHE is used because it causes colossal damage. It is particularly useful on the 6 inch rifle because it bumps the penetration up nicely, so that you can penetrate the bows of everything. Can't over emphasise the value of this skill on Belfast and Perth (and Kutusov for that metter). DE plus some flags negates the diminished chance of fire that comes with IFHE. It only cancels the negative effects of IFHE.

Realistically they only need to announce things in English because everyone already speaks English or they jolly well should.

Flamu already has a 19 pointer dedicated to Belfast. I finished off my 19 point Commander primarily on Belfast because it is such a strong ship. Flamu set up is Priority Target Expert Marksman, Adrenaline Rush Superintendent, Demolition Expert IFHE and Concealment Expert It's not a terrible set up for DDs either.

10 points is basic level IMO. You've only got access to one fourth rank perk. The best way for me to train any captain is to play one of the three 19 pointers I have. I can then pile the extra XP onto any guy I want. Most efficient and fun is Belfast and I have my guy set up as Flamu suggests. 19 pointer in Belfast really makes the ship strong. I'll not buy Hood until she's in the in game tech tree on sale for gold. Even then I'll be waiting for a discount.

Yes. The only reason there is a temporal element to this at all is WGs marketing strategy.

When Belfast, Perth, Leningrad and Okhotnik all came on sale I bought the biggest packages for the unique flags, gold and whatnot. This time though there's a very cynical thing at play with the access to mission completion being severely attenuated unless you buy a very heavily overpriced bundle. Much dearer bundle than before. Transparent scumbaggery of the first order.

I'm not going to buy Hood as it stands even at the last because of the cynical way WG have staggered these sales. It's just utter bastardy. There's no need for it. If the ship gets heavily discounted for doubloons several months down the line I might consider it.

I've a 58% WR in the old lady. I learned to anticipate two shots ahead and turn the ship to bring the guns to bear. This is a serious buff though and very welcome.

Hmm... I likey, and I have bought the top packages for other ships in the past because I like the flag on offer, but I'm so put off by the marketing strategy associated with Hood that I'm not going to play. I'll fly the Jutland flag instead.

I won't be doing the campaign anyway as the tanks have my full attention with the x2 crew XP specials (approaching 7 skill/perks on my Type 59 a million XP to go). I'll certainly not be buying Hood - even unbundled - at full price. It'll be 30% off soon enough.

The people you need to consider in that metaphor are the people who sell footballs and playing kit. They don't care how good you are at the game if they can sell you the stuff. They are the equivalent of WG here.
