Missing Kobayashi Custom Camouflage Bug - Kii Admiral's Edition Package
Hedgehog1963 replied to _B_A_N_E_'s topic in General Discussion
Every chance you have to allow the filters to see anime style ships. -
Your description of my motivation is neither fair or accurate.

This is BS strawman stuff. Try again.

The people who joined later should have joined earlier if they wanted the stuff the early players got. Beta ships, commanders, flags, camos and all that. They made their decisions, they live with the consequences. I think it would have been better had they done this, but they didn't. Completely wrong. It's down to the fact I've not put the time into the game that he has. Apparently putting time in and getting rewards is to be meaningless, so yeah, I want what Flamu has without putting the effort in he did.
-
I'll never have as many as Flamu has though. So unfair. Boo hoo!
-
The difference is so slight as to not matter, not least because some new players who haven't got the time to get 19 point commanders. People could leave the game because they can't get Gremyashchy. So same thing. You don't advocate sale of that. This is nothing at all like WoT premium ammo. If they release more of these commanders then the players who missed the earlier ones will have nothing to complain about.
-
19 point commanders vs three point commanders is more of an issue. I have just three 19 point commanders Flamu has dozens. How can that be fair? So what if he's played the game for man-months more than me. I want all my commanders to be 19 pointers too!

Because time isn't of constant value. Time today for example is on my hands because I'm waiting for a delivery at home. Time on my holidays is also cheap because there's so much of it then. Time to play games when I'm working in my full time job - evenings and weekends - is of more value. A precious, limited resource. I don't know for sure what else I might have done while working on Segal and Dunkirk, as I don't keep records, but if I'd have known they weren't time barred I might well have played WoWS less intensively. As an illustration I'm still only in the second set of missions for Yamomoto and I'm not bashing the tier VIII and above ships in a dash to get him because, AFAIK there is no time bar set. I'll get him using lower value time in the future. As a further illustration about the value of time, premium time largely exists to accelerate progress, as does exchanging gold for free XP. Some people with a lot of time and no money don't do that. I think I made my position clear with my Iwaki Alpha reference. There are some things many players of this game will not have because they didn't play at the appropriate time. Some of us are better equipped at dealing with the disappointment that comes from this. Far more extreme than all this is my owning an SU76i in WoT. You may not know that it was sold for a few hours on one day only before being permanently yoinked. There are fewer than 1200 on the EU cluster. I got it because my daily routine involves checking the premium shops for new content every morning before I go to work. I don't play it very often because it is brutally OP. I don't think it should be sold because it is broken. That opinion has nothing at all to do with my having the thing.

Even if the ease of the mission were an issue, you can't use how easy you found the missions as a yardstick for all. Time invested is the issue. Any time I spend playing ships is time I'm not playing tanks.

I don't believe I've been disrespectful to anyone here, despite personal attacks made against me. I not bothered at all that people don't agree with me. I don't think anyone should be bothered I don't agree with them. Certainly seems to upset people that an average player might have opinions different to theirs though. If anyone needs talking to like you just spoke to me it is them.
-
I don't think something can be done about those commanders at this stage. People who did put some effort into getting them at the time might feel put out if others can now get them, without putting as much effort in. Remember the Edited over the French flag? Would it have been better if they were presented the way Yamomoto has been presented? I expect we agree on that. But would it be right to make Dunkirk and Segal available now? I don't think so. I think they should release other commanders a bit like them and do so in the same way they have dome with Yamomoto. This post has been edited by the moderation team due to swearing.

Because my question as to whether the Gremyashchy should be sold again makes a point.
-
No, I don't see the problem, for reasons I've laid out. It's too bad some will not have Segal or Dunkirk. I'll never have Iwaki Alpha. I really would like one, but I understand why I can't have one. I'll just have to get over it rather than demand that it should always remain available.
-
Because you don't seem to acknowledge the point.
-
That's not the reason why they are time gated. Your inferring things I haven't implied having accused me of not understanding is pretty ironic.
-
They had the chance, just like everyone else.
-
I haven't missed it at all. I do understand. I just don't agree. How about that? My stats are irrelevant. Believe it or not oh elitist one, the game exists for all of us and some players will always be better than others. However Gremyashchy isn't irrelevant, which is why I mentioned it in my first response yo you. It is time gated since they won't sell it again. It clearly offers advantage over other DDs. I don't see the wailing an gnashing of teeth over that. Now I could say you're too stupid to understand, but I'll just behave like an adult who has encountered someone who disagrees with him. I'll play the ships I want. None of your business. Not a complaint, but I did mention Gremyashchy already in this thread on the first page. I asked whether Kurtz thought it should be on sale again. I'll ask you the same. My opinion is that compared to the Segal and Dunkirk commanders the OP ships are a bigger deal, yet I don't see anyone here suggesting that Nikolai and Gremyashchy should be sold again because they are unfairly strong.
-
It's not unfair because everyone could have got him. The people who weren't playing then could have played. People like me who put extra effort in at the time to get him deserved the reward. We invested and we got the commander. It's a real shame that people can't hold a conversation with someone who disagrees with them over something without becoming abusive.
-
And so the ad hominem attacks start.
-
Because if you use him in a ship that doesn't make smoke you lose part of his bonus. I can't believe I have to explain that to you. His value in a BB is so great that that's the decision I took. So I've sacrificed his Expert Smoke skill.
-
Thius isn't your thread. Yamomoto is a valid comparison since he is, like Dunkirk, a special commander. Don't shout at me and expect a response.
