    Actually this mode is a BB mode and reads: Learn how to sacrifice a goat and pray to RNG to be able to citadel uberquishy ships that come steaming into you at 90°, aka learn how to citadel via bow because you will never see broadside until they torp you.

    The new mode is like unplayable in random. As I have many T6 ships, I gave each and everyone a try and 3 stars is the best I managed in 11 games. Too many people just die early and too stupid scripts (looking at you CV spawing at maximum range away from own team with 2 enemies spawing like 5km behind).
  3. Met ilhilh who skillfully outcamped our entire team in his Baltimore on Hotspot domination (was in Myoko and #1 in my team, which should already tell you how that battle went). Met eliastion in Błyskawica on Trap and together we managed to kill a couple of enemies fighting over the northern cap (was in Mogami).

    Can I get a refund for the Duca?

    The Duca is a fine T6 cruiser as can be, at least for me. For comparison I am currently playing the La Glascannon in parallel and the later really is a pain in the arm compared to the Duca. - Has a top speed with speed flag of 38.3kt. Can engage/disengage at will, easily switch sides and run down almost any DD. - Has 3 viable consumables. Hydro (great in combination with its speed), AA (not as great as the overall AA is week, however it will still disrupt a drop) and extra range (situational but nonetheless a fine add-on). - Has a very good rudder shift and sleek silhouette and can evade shots rather easily if correctly aligned to start with and at ranges >10km. - Has hard hitting AP ammo and is IFHE capable, with good firing arcs and impressive shell speeds. - Has good camo (with captain skill) and long range area denial torps (with a good reload too). I yet have to find her missing in any department (a couple more HP would be fine, but thats nothing that would save her from random citadels).

My best guess is that they want to tackle two to three issues: 1) Planes shadowing ships indefinitely, which sometimes can be hard, especially on cruisers (permanently lit up and unable to re-cloak). At least now you have a chance to know what is spotting you and try to evade. 2) Fixing inconsistency of AA range vs plane spotting range. What good for is a 7.2km AA bubble if planes become visible/invisible only at 4.5km? (solo ship buff for BB and CA) 3) Evasive manuvers can be started a little earlier as planes are spotted earlier. (mainly BB and to a lesser degree CA and DD buff) Of course most of the above is an indirect CV nerf.

    Are SUPERcontainers really super?

    They should just add the option to get a normal container instead of the super container after the result has been determined and everybody would be happy. Got 5 million credits but already have 400 million? Reroll normal container. Got useless 'upgrade'? Reroll normal container. Got 50k free XP but already have 300k even after buying Missouri? Reroll normal container or keep. Got premium ship, flags, premium time or doubloons or else you like. Keep. Simple as that.

    Thats the absolute minimum number of enemy ships needed to have any chance of bringing a Khaba down in any given game...

    Short answer: No, after addition of upgrades and removal of flag bundles they aren't anymore... Like many others I used to exclusively 'try your luck' and was very confident with the results, even 'just' credits, however after the introduction of the upgrades I now go for the flag containers exclusively. Speaking in WoWs terms: Receiving a SC with an upgrade is just like hitting a ship with a dud torpedo.

    Das Schiff is absoluter Schrott und hat nichts was für es spricht, keinen DPM, keine Geschossflugbahn, keine Geschwindigkeit (ohne Speedboost+Modul+Flagge), keine Tarnung, keine Torpedos, keine Flak, keine Panzerung (habe ich jedoch auch nicht erwartet), absolut nichts, nichts, nichts. Wer gerne auf max Reichweite HE spammen und sich an gelegentlichen Treffern und zufälligen Feuern erfreuen will soll dies gerne tun.

There would be easy ways to disencourage BB overpopulation, either by nerfing them (not my prefered option) or by buffing the other classes (my prefered option), and I can't really understand why they do not touch class balance (they did in WoT and the meta heavily shifted from heavy tanks to medium and light tanks, at least at higher tiers). Apart from BB's big names and being a more or less foolproof class there needs to be an incentive to play other classes too. My first step would be to take a look at the available data over a certain period of time, see what classes are not represented as they should be over that period and then give an incentive to play exactly that class. So if the 'ideal' team composition should be 1 CV (8,33%), 3 BB (25%), 5 CA (41,67%) and 3 DD (25%), and you find that actual games played look more like 0 CV (0%), 5 BB (41,67%), 2 CA (16,66%) and 5 DD (41,67%) then give CV's and CA's an incentive during the next period. So for example, how about the 'month of the cruiser': Cruisers earn 50% more credits and/or 50% more XP and/or 50 % more free XP across all tiers? After a month figures are checked again and incentives amended as found fit. Another easy idea would be to slightly penalize BB's staying power monitarily, e.g. BB's should pay more then the usual 100% repair costs if they actually used more HP than the initial 100% HP of their ship. Etc. etc. etc.

    Then WG should start to fix this by teaching their playerbase how to not die in the first 5 minutes of the match...

The main problems with CA's fragility (at least for all captains with a minimum of skill) is not the random citadel while turning, it is the random citadels while (more or less correctly) angled. All evade skills in the world will not help you if RNG decides that you are about to eat a couple of citadels through your angled bow or stern. CAs simply can not mitigate damage by skillful maneuvering, at least not a level they would need to in order to reduce their brittleness and bring them in line with other classes. BBs can angle and use armor to be relatively save. DDs can use stealth and be relatively save. CAs can maneuvre all they way they want to, they will never ever be relatively save.
  15. Cruisers should receive some healing skills at least down to tier 7 across the board. There's nothing like taking a lucky hit or double fire early in the game and having to linger on the brink of death and being a priority target for the reminder of that game. Cruisers should be able to equip both hydro/AA boost or radar/AA boost to make them real jack of all trades. Also reduce both BB vs CA citadel chance AND overpen chance (= more regular hits) and we are talking...

    Bad player in your team in a cruiser => he will die fast but you will probably be able to handle the loss. Bad player in your team in a battleship => he will die less fast and it will be harder to manage the loss but still doable. Bad player in your team in a destroyer => he will die fast and probably you will have a very hard time to handle the loss, especially in domination games. Bad player in your team in an aircraft carrier => your team will die fast and you will lose almost certainly. Thats the approximate influence of bad players based on my humble experience and shows the current meta value of each ship type quite accurately.

    Evading all enemy BBs fire until your team has eventually won. Shoot...evade enemy salvos for 20 to 25 seconds...shoot again. If you are still alive by minute 15 your team will most probably have won by now.

    While the above is certainly true, please acknowledge that this also leads to the ships you really want to have up front staying back. No BB captain with a sane mind will push into an objective/area guarded by a smoke & torpedoes and/or HE spam capable ship.

    Actually I would rather like to have the automatic situational awareness skill removed than improved, however in order to improve teamplay I have been an advocate for more meaningful function keys ever since. Also the friendly loadout information would be really handy, e.g. ships "suddenly" without smoke (British CA or Russian DD) or ships with/without AA (German CA, US DD, RU DD). P.S.: What is the German ship trying to say in panel one? Nein, ich will es auch (nicht)?

    On BBs and Citadels...

    As a BB player: If we look into a reduced number of citadel hits *and* simultaneously into a reduced number of overpens we can talk. In the end it is all about being able to deal and receive consistent damage, as spiked damage helps no one. Neither the BB which too often is at the full mercy of the RNG (will I land 3 citadels on that broadside CA or just 3 overpens?) nor the CA which is facing the same dilemma (will I receive 3 citadels from the BB if I start to turn now or just 3 overpens?).

    And where exactly is the difference in between standard and deathmatch battle? In standard battles it is most common that all enemy ships are sunk because the cap is ignored anyway, even if it would end the game a lot faster for everybody? Oh I get it, without caps you could turtle anywhere on the map instead of E4.

    While it is considered good sports to fight to the finish, however it is also considered good sports to not turn a game/battle into a one-sided slaughter.
