Seconded. I have every single T10 ship in this game apart from the 2 CV's and the Worcester (still grinding Seattle) and I have 470m credits still which I can't spend for anything. I am a lazy player so I used premium account from the very start (mostly for the extra XP, the extra credits are a nice touch). And yes I have the Missouri but if you take a look at my stats i recon most of my wealth will have come via Tirpitz. In fact credit making is so easy in this game you can easily do 800k in a regular T10 ship using all available credit camos and flags if you manage to have a decent to good game. I am currently grinding the legendary module for Republique and I can easily repeat 600k to 800k earnings.

Interestingly enough that was exactly what most decent WoT players wanted. Flat maps with great firing arcs (obviously minus the no bushes part). However as 95% of the player base could not be bothered to learn the spotting mechanics and got shot by "invisible" tanks all the time WG created or turned every single map into a dull corridor map instead. Just go front to the enemy and pew pew away. And most of the WoWs player base can not cope with Ocean. And while islands are great for breaking line of sight and providing cover I heavily doubt that at the current meta they create dynamism. DD's having to deal with radar or hydro cruisers hidden behind isles will have a very hard time scouting or otherwise being aggressive vs capital ships. And BB's having to deal with the possibility of both un-returnable HE spam and the additional threat of a torpedo ambush will also have to take a very conservative approach when near isles. The only class that ultimately benefits from isles are cruisers as because of RNG evasion is not working well in comparison to the stealth of the DD's and the tankiness of the BB's. However cruisers are normally not the ones leading the push.

I will gladly take any Hipper (range, tanky), Eugen (range, tanky, heal) Martel (range, speed), Edinburgh (smoke), Kutusov (smoke) or even Chapayev (range, radar) into an ocean battle. Add Takao and Atago to the mix and you will have a total of 8 T8 cruisers that are still effective or at least somewhat effective in open water vs only two who aren't as effective (Mogami, Cleveland). And BB who hang back and snipe may make others lives miserable, but like on any other map, the will lose the battle for their team. Especially on Ocean.

Every ship can be made to work in open water, some more, some less. And while I surely admit that it is not an ideal map for short range, high arc, dpm reliant, high visibility and/or and squishy ships everybody can do his part. For example I have had a couple of good to very good results with ARP Takao already, and it also has 15.6km of maximum range. Will it hurt your dpm? Probably. Will you have to change your playstyle? Obviously. Are you useless for your team? No, everyone counts.

Should be a mandatory map for any cruiser captain because it requires you to learn how to position properly, how to dodge a EDIT of incomming salvos and how you might even need to go silent in between shots.

Only using EM in my dedicated Gremy/Lenin captain. Have not even considered it for other DDs yet, so I would suggest to get rid of it if you can do so cheap or for free (as others have already pointed out) to make room for AR and LS (or whatever skill you like).

So if all if us just don't play Leningrad anymore for lets say 6 months WG datamining will surely conclude that such an under utilized ship must clearly be under performing and buff it accordingly. Easy enough if you ask me... *cough* Grozovoi *cough*

This one I call "the old North" (for those who remember): There once was a BB at C, which recklessly went towards D. It ended the game, full HP, what a shame, while the enemy won it at B!

The once was a CV called Graf, which was issued not OP enough, they reworked the squads, to improve the odds, now see who has the last laugh.

Threads like these is what is separating the mediocre or bad from the good or unicum players. For the former ones everything is black or white whereas the later ones know it is all shades of grey. There are times to stay back/camp and times to push and the difference in between players is to know when you need or must do either of the two. Also regarding the thread title how about: Surviving (like a smart man would) is more rewarding? -

As you usually can't win on your own you need to adapt to what your team is doing. And if your team is staying back for whatever reason you need to stay back too. If - as you masterfully demonstrated - you are the only one aggresively playing the objective you will be shot up badly and get almost nothing in return. By the way I am also prone to reporting "YOLO BB's" that charge into middle early in battle, get shot from every envisionable angle and enemy ship and die there accomplishing mostly nothing. A little patience perhaps? -

To be honest I don't understand the reasoning behind this. Shouldn't sticking to and switching to the losing team yield better results as sticking to and switching to the winning team if you want competitive, even distribution of teams? Else let the winning-team-joining and landslide victories beginn. -

I actually use DCP on a few selected ships (simply because I got them for free in supercontainers). BB main guns do not tend to break that often, however bringing the immunity timer from 20 seconds to 28 seconds in an american BB does help you a lot, especially if you want to go stealth again and can't take another fire. -
Low tier in a cruiser always gets you the short end of the stick. BB's can usually just continue what they are always doing, harrassing and killing cruisers. DD's, especially the stealthier ones, can still contest cap and scout and torp capital ships. CA's on the other hand, CA's can still die, the just do even quicker...

This is not about true or false but about perception and consequence. If people feel screwed by WG they will stop playing, no matter what the statistics actually tell. And if too many feel screwed then the game is dead. Psychology does not care for numbers.

Basic standard. All aiming done by figure aided feels, i.e. I try to match my best guesses with the numbers on the sights. -
You can stack credits almost as easy as XP. Use Gamescon camo, all available commercial flags and premium time and see credits go through the roof. I am currently doing this step in Republique and my fist (however quite good) game netted me over 900k (2200 bxp, 150k damage). So I guess this step will also easily be possible in your mentioned 10 to 20 battles.
