    Talk trash in white when losing

    Why only start trash talking when losing? Experts start trash talking in minute one, e.g. when the enemy team has an unicum clan tagged Saipan and you got xX_n00by1337_Xx in a Ranger. Nothing beats letting both teams know that their individual skill is almost irrelevant because the match was more or less loaded and won (or lost) from the very start.

    The fully fitted FdG is indeed just a bigger Bismarck, however around T8 the meta changes a lot and secondary builds become less and less viable. Wait until you reach the GK to have a ship with bad turret angles and terribad handling (12 guns however). Regarding modules keep in mind that rudder shift will increase drasticly with the second hull. I usually run the rudder module in order to angle faster in between salvos and to be able to better torpedobeat on most BB's but I know many people are running the damage con module for increased toughness. Regarding last slot it is concealment all the way, for both attack and defense. If your hydro and rudder isn't enough to push smoke and evade torps then target aquisition module will not help you much either.     Where is the action in this game?

    OP has some point in that for some parts of the playerbase, the notorious parts that just want to cruise around and have fun shooting things up, the game can easily devolve in a boring puzzle game, especially if everybody is playing up to the strengths of their ships. It is these kind of chess moments that are frustrating them, e.g. which ships do I have to kill / dislodge first and from where in order win the cap/flank. And all this not using one mutual mastermind but having to consider a multitude of friendly players, their actions and options and correct timing. Attacking is much harder than defending where you can either kite or dig in. And this is one of the many reasons for static play in randoms. While in clan battles a full strength push might actually work due to improved coordination, in random battles it will usually falter because of the lack thereoff. And any BB player that has ever been melted by invisible and untouchable ships while trying to tank for the team and to attack a fortified position will be more cautious and campy next time, going for a stand-off or shoot-out instead. Not to speak of hydro / radar working through islands, which makes DD lives similarily miserable. As already mentioned it is a tough choice for ship and map designers in oder to render all ships valid on most of the maps. Too few cover and many ships can not drag their weight. Too much cover and others will have a hard time instead...

    Typical example when I get toxic: Caps A to C (west to east), any map. Team is surrendering cap C because of bad spawn positions. CV (yes the guy that lives and dies on the minimap) decides to move east nonetheless. 1. Ping on the CV's hex and ping on a hex to the far west. 2. No reaction. 3. Write in chat "Ranger turn west, you will die using this heading". 4. No reaction. 5. Write in chat "[insult] Ranger, you [insult][insult], move the [insult] west!" 6. Typically now the CV starts his turn, most of the time already too late of course... So who is to blame that my blood pressure is killing me?

    The thing is: What can be considered toxic and what is not? To be offended is a deliberate choice and very much depending on the person on the receiving end. And while I am not at all promoting toxic behavior just ask yourself how are your getting your point across in the shortest amount of time considering a competitive, stressful environment? Why isn't your drill instructor polite when you have just made a mistake? Why do soldiers revert to swearing and cursing when the situation is dire? Why do players of the same team shout at each other if teamplay is bad (e.g. football)? And as WoWs can easily be considered a competitive, stressful environment, don't wonder when sometimes the tone gets a little rougher.
  9. Why not a check box? In some cases you want to know credits earned (aka Prinz Eitel Farming campaign) in other raw income? Just a cheesy little check box in the settings...

    Man I really miss the times when you could even stealth torp potato CV's as a DD (before situational awareness aka potato alarm was a thing)...

  15. The big question is: Will the game mechanics cap you at a certain skill level and how high will this level be (high skill ceiling vs low skill ceiling)? At the moment skill ceiling seems high resulting in a huge skill gap. Will it change with the update? I think not. The second big questions is: How influencial is any single game piece allowed to be? Will it be a Queen or just another Pawn? My current experience lies with the former and all I have seen from the patch indicates that this will also not change. So if this patch does neither address skill gap nor (perceived) dominance, why patch at all?

    Well, the current CV whines are usually based on skill gap coupled with CV impact on gameplay. And I very much doubt the upcomming rework will change this, so you better prepare yourselves for even more posts like this.

    Jean Bart detonation

    It happens. And no you do not need detonation flags on BB as detonations on BB tend to be rare. Jean Bart is not especially vulnerable to explosions, i.e. not more than every other BB out there. Last time I was detonated in a BB was in my Tirpitz when I skillfully dodged all torpedoes out of a 8 torp spread apart from a single one which was going to hit me right below the second front turret. I already had my fingers on DCP and Repair Party and was like "ok, I will take this one in a manly fashion" when suddenly ***boom*** my screen went all grey. However this unfortunate event is like half a year away already.

    Even with 6 high level prem ships and with prem account and saving flags and camo thats like a minimum of 4 (won) battles for each nation, for a total of 24 battles. Taking into account that not every battle is won and/or great I reckon that it is more like 50 battles that will be needed. And 50 battles times 20 minutes is like 1000 Minutes, aka 16h to 17h of grind (or regular play, whatever your daily schedule is). Even having all the mentioned boxes checked myself I do not consider this a walk in the park (it's like 3h a day for straight 6 days with the lucky 7th day off). So I am not as sure if he can manage in the 28h stated using mostly silver ships and no premium account.
