Tier V - VII DD infestation

Overall total is 99% and average 5.4 BB in every match...hmmmm... Umikaze man, Umikaze....

Tier V - VII DD infestation

Spotting is life (for your team), spotting is death (for the enemy). Once the eyes and ears of your team are gone you can usually fold. However I agree there should be a mandatory "how to not die in the first 3 to 5 minutes in any given match" tutorial (and not only for DD).

Tier V - VII DD infestation

A lot of games will be 5 BB / 2 CA / 5 DD once CVs have dwindled to their old anaemic numbers, so you better get used seeing 4 to 5 DD every game.

A few thoughts on this French DD event

What irritates me most is that the event is all about "skipping" a line that clearly needs a lot of experience and a need-to-getting-used-to type of gameplay...

    Will Aigle receive MBRB ?

How about Campbeltown not being able to launch single torps? I want that!

Hayate has 6mm of turret armour [WiP]

Thanks. Otherwise it may be hard to judge if the concealment ist state of the art, mediocre or plain bad.

Writes long article. Does not even state the tier of the ship once...

    A Well Know Good Player

The thing is, if I try stunts like this I always, always, always get hit dead center. Every single time. So either all my enemies are all bad shots and I would have been better off not changing speed, or they are all pretty good shots, predicting my moves rather well. However I have to admit that it works rather well against me, because apparently my own aim assist can't cope with this kind of water ballet.

    Carrier gameplay rework the truth

Well, just play the tutorial. It will properly show you how to best avoid flak and also tell you about advanced maneuvers like zooming attacks. That is, if there was one...

    B Command/Quick Command idea

The thing is that you need a couple of commands for strategic stuff (e.g. attack/def cap) and a couple of commands for tactical stuff (e.g. activate radar/hydro/smoke) AND ideally also a common understanding of the playerbase what those commands really mean, especially the strategic ones. The are a couple of good commands that could easily replace the current ones or be added to the current ones, for example the "request assistance" command is way to general. What do you really need? Someone to support your push? AA defence? Scouting? Help vs an enemy DD? I especially miss a command like "abandon cap" as it happens way too often that teammates randomly wander off to an unsupported cap just to die versus overwhelming odds (and yes I am already spamming "get back" on those ships wherever possible).

    Wargaming Premium Time

However I have to add to the above that in the past it was mainly WoWs that "payed" my WoT premium time, as the not so seldom doubloon compensation for ships yielded huge amount of WoWs ingame currency with almost nothing but premium time to spend it at, which still is a huge issue in this game...

    Wargaming Premium Time

It was called "unified account" ... Fortunately I almost emptied my WoT gold stash as it was still possible.

    Wargaming Premium Time

All games, one currency, one premium time, thats how it was advertised / started. Always remember... If it is the same as for me then I do play more than one title - namely WoWs & WoT - however as I do play the latter rather occasionally only it does not make sense to purchase common premium time. And while playing WoWs 90 - 95% of the time and WoT mostly for a change and/or to have some fun (i.e. only relying on old tanks and not actively leveling any lines) the WoWs premium will simply reap more benefit.

    British BB citadel

40 sec of heal cooldown. That's not improved for you? You wanna have 20sec? And he can heal as Warspite. Look at Monarch in contrast... Yeah. Not saying that you are wrong, but what years of online gaming have told me is that if in doubt always chose damage avoidance over damage repair. Depending on your ship set-up (signals, skills and equipment) at higher levels even one unchecked fire can eat up or almost eat up one repair party, which after all is a limited ressource (in contrast to damage con). So if you would let me chose for myself I would go for faster damage con most of the time (of course also depending on some other factors like duration of the damage con immunity timer etc.).

Summer Sale: New Offers Every Day!

Sounds a little fishy but could still be within the known behavior of the loot crates. As far as I know the content of said crates is created at the moment of purchase / creation not at the moment of opening. This is my best guess what happened: 1) You bought the bundle and the crates contents have been rolled before the Vanguard was registered as being in your possession. 2) As the Vangard that comes with the crates was not registered as "in your port" when the bundle was bought the first crate yielded a copy of the Vanguard that came with the bundle. 3) The second crate yielded an Atago as per the normal rules. Nonetheless I agree that this should be looked at, especially that the crates can actually roll the ship that comes with the bundle.
  20. Though I am not in agreement with OP you always argue as if the border was some instant dead stop, like driving into glue. Let me assure you it is not. You can glide for a very long time, even in a BB and especially if you pivot on your bow. And the deceleration in combination with the lateral movement allows for maneuvers that are simply not possible in open water and also not possible once beached. If I drop some fishes in front of an island where I expect and enemy will beach and he does I will probably hit many of them. If I drop some fishes in the line of movement of an enemy near the border I might hit most/all if he does continue in a straight line or none, if he turns into the border and slides laterally. Of course you can also avoid torps by accelerating or decelerating while moving in a straight line, however I have seen too many amazing torpedo beats on the map border and even on seemingly point blank range which would have not been possible in the open.
  21. The biggest problem I do have with the map border is that you simply can not reverse out of it as deceleration with reduced engine power takes like forever. You can however do some crazy stunts at a map border - e.g. evading torps - that would not be possible if the border would behave like an isle.

education video , not only ships mechanics, but tactics

Thats because nobody should have to rely on external sources for learning the base mechanics / tactics (and by external sources I do mean any media that is not the game client itself, no matter who produced the material, no homepage, no youtube, no reddit etc.). Because if you assume that players will actually look for those sources you already made your first mistake. Imho there is only one way to have any hopes of getting a bare minimum of information across: Forced ingame tutorials, and we still do not have that.

education video , not only ships mechanics, but tactics

In most of the screens posted all I see is DDs failing hard to do their job (scouting, cap contesting) which leaves their capital ships at a severe disadvantage and the reason why they have to play very (overly) cautious. There are only two basic rules to teamplay. 1) If I am the DD and nobody is following me to the target cap I need to abort and to go to where the main fleet is. 2) If I am not the DD I will follow the DD as long as it does make sense (aka as long as my team is not at a severe disadvantage at the selected cap).
  24. Which would be true if you would actually aim yourself. But with the known issue of the build-in aim assist being rather crap at hitting stationary and/or slow moving targets (accelerating full forward or backward) I can understand that people are having difficulties effectively hitting border sliding targets...
