And you both missed the point that there is no point in keeping a silver ship once you have grinded past it, provided you have a sufficient selection of premium ships to train your captains on. Whats the point in keeping a Soyuz if you already have Missouri, Musashi and Jean Bart (and potentially also a Georgia)? Having said so I sold my last 3 silver ships that were not "grinding", CVs or tier 10 just yesterday.

Rule no. 1 vs Radar? Don't get radared! Or if you do, be somewhere safe (cover, range). Most ships radar range is well below their visibility range, so on open caps you should be most safe because you detect them first. For those few ships that do have higher radar range than visibility range (e.g. Chapayev) you will still be like 10km away when they detect you and considering a well plotted course you should be able to bail out with a minimum of damage. Closed caps can indeed be a death sentence, so simply do not go there if not all enemy radar capable ships have been accounted for. You can always come back for a cap 5 min later, however you can't cap if you are dead.

A destroyer (!) that has to blind itself (!) to be effective is a failed concept. Will get the ship anyway just because I can ( = big pile of free XP).

The complaint thread about the Colorado was the final nail in the coffin for resetting the line. Was not inclined to ever reset a line, but then I thought, well how about my own personal Colorado challenge?

For testing purposes I reset the american BB line just yesterday as it was among the first ones I finished and the only ship still in port was Montana. Just wanted to see how the New York, New Mexico, Colorado, North Carolina and Iowa hold their ground in todays meta. Skipped the cruisers part using free XP and started with the South Carolina. Using prem time, flags and camo I am already at the New York looking for the New Mexico probably by the end of the week...

Yes, the best 500 point earners (read the 500 players that earned to most points in total), which is not the first players that earn 500 points, will get 10 extra camo. The question being how low you can score to still be within the top 500.

I guess you got that wrong, its the first 500 players, you don't need 500 points... Apart from that why the Admiral Graf Spee and not the Prinz Eitel Friedrich? The battlecruiser would have nicely fitted the time period...

Well, yes and no. For a long time Nagato stood unchallenged as the "typical" go-to tier 7 BB. High HP, reasonable speed, few but big guns, which even higher tier BB will notice and which can easily overmatch most cruisers. Colorado while having better armor simply is too slow (and lacking HP) and Gneisenau while faster and boosting better secondary armament and torps was no match in raw ranged firepower, sporting only 6x 38cm cannons. Then came the Nelson with its monster heal and better gun layout, later the the Lyon, who while boasting smaller caliber guns ist still faster than the Nagato and will give you a never-gets-old 16 gun salute. The Sinop also sporting 406mm guns (should we rename the big 7 into the big 8?) was the final nail in the coffin, placing Nagato from a top spot to the bottom half of the available T7 BB pool.

Kongo solid and with great speed for T5. Fuso still good as far as I can tell but has lost its 12 gun uniqueness. Nagato (and Colorado) powercreeped by 406mm gun inflation on T7. Amagi still seems a decent 10 gun flanker/sniper. Izumo the odd duck it always was because of the suboptimal turret placement. Trumped by glorious Soviet blue water navy? Yes. Obsolete? No.

Did you by chance reset your commander skills? You are missing exactly 20% from 9.4k to 11.3k?

Though I have to admit that at times HE spam can be anoying there is a simple solution: Don't play your enemy's game, play your own game. So instead of mindlessly charging a dug in enemy in an unassaultable position either just go away (most HE lobbers are very bad at chasing after enemy ships) or play the patient game, i.e. kill his spotters and support first, push him out of position by flanking and obliterate him once he is in the open.

Well, being outspotted and sunk by said cruisers and battleships prevents you from a lot of things, also from spotting...

And how many of those tokens have a prerequisite? Like having a certain french T8 premium or lucky/expensive french T9 DD? Because for most people those tokens can already be deleted from the equation. Edit: Also if I were going for all "free" tokens the game "forces" me to play CV. I already pity my team...
