These two points keep popping up. And they are a problem with the CV class in general. Just move to a tier without CVs or explicitly exclude them, but get CVs out of CW.

"WG" simply wants more new players to go down the CV path themselves, in order to make the rework look like a success after all.

Thanks for showing up. 1. The main problems seem to be the spotting and the necessity to form AA-groups, as both of these make it harder to move around on the map and take away the element of surprise. 2. I would very much like a T9 Season, as it would take CVs out of the equation and provide lots and lots of new options. Changing tiers for CW would generally keep things more fresh - just like in Ranked. 3. Allowing to spam just one ship is not healthy and takes away the fun.

If you think that Missouri is a clear pick over Soyuz, Georgia, Musashi and even Izumo, you are clearly overestimating that radar. Missouri is just not very sustainable. Same goes for Black, which has pathetic torpedoes - I would personally prefer radar Chung Mu or stuff like Kitakaze, Jutland, Neustrashimy. Also you named 3 cruisers which are bad at T9 - what about the rest of them?! Riga, Alaska, Baltimore, Kronshtadt, St Louis, Donskoi, even Drake?!

I think T9 has more options than many people think. I very much doubt that it would be just Alaska and Musashi spam...

@MrConway is there any chance we will get a T9 CW Season? That would exclude CVs and give us a new experience again.

The main difference is that people are AA-supporting each other. Most Random team mates just mind their own business. -

Noobs will never be able to counter a good player, no matter what ship he is in. The difference is that they cannot hide from CVs, unless they have smoke. Let me tell you though, this CW season proves that AA is actually much more effective than everyone thinks - people in Randoms are simply not using it correctly it seems. -

He wanted to know how he can specialize in killing CVs (like he claims he is doing effectively in Tanks), so I gave him the best answer, as this actually works and doesn't hurt your team. You can also hunt them down in a French DD, but that will often make you useless for your team and/or get you killed, just like the LT thing he claims. -

Same same but different. In both games you will either take forever to get there or get killed in the process, UNLESS the enemy team is super stupid. And in both games, this is not a good choice of playstyle. -

That is not true - a good Arty player would just stay on the move behind his team until the team was dead or the game ended, especially in the fast French Artillery. You seem to be thinking about noob Arty players with bad positioning. Guess what - that happens to bad CVs too and they get wrecked early in the game. An honest advice: You come here as an absolute newbie who hasn't learned the ropes yet and think you know how the game should be changed - that stinks. -

I actually liked to play Arty - I played all classes then and I play all classes now in Ships, including CVs. The reason why I left Tanks and went for Ships was the way WG was forcing the use of gold ammunition and dumbing down the game. Especially by removing weakspots and making armor just thick enough, so that standard ammo will struggle and gold-ammo is easy mode. -

Pffff, I have 1-shot so many Mediums with AP Artillery then - guess you are not as Veteran as you claim to be. And remind me again what you are doing against those unspotted TDs sniping you from bushes across the map. Positioning and awareness are key - in both games. -

How long have you been playing Tanks, because when I did, Arty was even more annoying than CVs. With CVs you just have to stick with other ships, while Artillery was forcing you to hug damn mountains in order to not get wrecked. -

Except you are not a Shima. Missing that third set of torps is a big deal. Same goes for the lack of concealment and agility. I agree that people should be allowed to test. People like me however, who have all the ships, can make a very accurate prediction how the ship will feel from the stats, as they know how others ships with said stats feel like. -

I don't need to play it to know that it will have a hard time against CVs when using the torpedo reload booster. With TRB it has neither smoke nor any significant AA and 12km torpedo range is not enough to keep it safe from CVs (trust me, you don't want to be this DD in my CV games). Without TRB I am just not really interested, because it brings nothing new to the table.
