Putting 10k AP-Volleys into unaware cruisers is so hilarious. You can sink them in 2 salvos. Man this thing is the devil when it catches you pants-down.

Well, you cannot be the only one spotted of course. But people do not prioritize DDs, like they do on higher Tiers. At least it feels like it.

People should not take TierV seriously anway. In fact many BBs will not even shoot their main guns at you, when you rush them.

Since the guns can turn 360, they will always go green, even when they cannot shoot. Is there a way to tell if your angle allows all guns to fire?

Well, Gremmy back in CBT was definitely meant to stealth fire from distance (which is boring and why I did not buy it). But that ship has many other strengths now in its unnerfed form... -

My Blyska (CE+AFT+DE) can stealth fire in a 4km window. But I rarely play it anymore, because that stuff is boring. The thrill of being spotted and living dangerously as a DD, is part of the fun for me. But they should really buff the speed on non-soviet DDs as a compensation! Everything else would feel like bias. -

If a non-retard BB gets into your smoke, you are dead. And in all other cases the Belfast simply doesn't need torpedoes. Sure it would be a nice bonus, but definitely not needed. Btw, I said that cruisers should not get close to BBs of course, maybe you better read next time. And btw, an angled Fiji is no match for (angled) Belfast IFHE... -

If you need torps, you are not playing it to its strengths. The only ships you cannot melt fast, even when they attack your smoke, are BBs. But honestly, cruisers shouldn't get that close the them anyway, because they can be deleted in a single salvo. -

I actually prefer Superintendent over DE. One last radar/smoke can really make a difference. Even with IFHE and without DE I still set plenty of fires on german BBs, while the rest gets wrecked by IFHE or AP. -

Fire damage is 100% healable. Just wait it out and then heal. If you got 2-3 fires use repair. -

Sinking 2x CA in a DD and be among the top XP is actually not that easy since they are your hardcounter. Will go for it in ranked.

Just got the engine boost from ranked and it is GREAT. 3min boost without having to give up a super useful slot. The other ones are just on too useful slots to be any good (except hydro-boost on a german DD maybe). What I don't like about SC is that the signal+camo will get you silly useless kinds of camo that are simply inferior. -
Would you rather have these large smoke-death-stars without any radar to counter them? Can really suck in a DD, but rather this than smoke-camper-heaven.

I use both, the flag and the upgrade in ranked, to keep it at 0% even when using flags with increased detonation.

When they can radar you, you can spot them for your team. Except if they sit in the smoke - then you should stay out anyway. Any smoke screen will get masses of torpedoes and blindfire anyway...

There is also an upgrade at Slot 1, that gives you -70% on detonation. If I ran out of flags, I would use that on my DD in ranked for sure...

Gneisenau is not a great target for that test. At least Scharnhorst has strong belt armor, partly 70mm bow armor and the deck is partly 50mm if I remember correctly. But still interesting. -

Yeah but penetrating 32mm plates is more important for Kutuzov MM, not so much for Belfast. Still those 25mm seem to make a big difference for the latter. -

In terms of topspeed Leningrad is just about 10% faster, but people like to exaggerate... Yes, SM+Boost make you go around 48.7kn, but that is still only 10% more than 44,1. -

Ok, maybe in ranked 25mm plates will not be that common. Just noticed that in random games my 120-152mm IFHE shells deal much more damage on average overall, even with less fire chance. -

Without IFHE, DDs cannot penetrate common 25mm plates. Aside from HE damage, less penetrations also mean less fires, even without the 2% reduction. So yes, it is very useful. DD guns with very low fire chance might be an exception to this, of course. -

Yeah with all those Belfasts a DD that works on range might be preferable. Not going to drop AFT for IFHE because of that... -
In a Q&A it was said that compensation will be the same as with IJN DDs. So they will probably double up the captain on the Kiev.
