Similar for me. Got Kamikaze R with that fancy CoE camo and never play it. It is just a one-trick pony, that feasts on straightlining noob BBs. Also I find high tier battles to be much more fun. Low tier battles seem just chaotic and random to me.

Oh man, I was actually not going to buy any, because the chance of getting the great gorgon is so low (0.9%). Ended up buying the 5 container pack, and look what was right inside the first one

My cruiser build works quite nice. Chose JOAT+Flag over EM, because I like to keep my DPM consumables till the end and then quickly use them on the bosses. I use AA modules and the target acquisition module (against torpedoes).

Got AFT instead, works still quite nice. Especially since the cruiser can evade and heal. But to rape Gorgon in time, I would have needed a second cruiser. (Did not steal this from Reddit, I put it there)

Yeah, any concealment is a complete waste apart from the DD. And even the BB has a damage control cooldown of 30sec.

Your AA on that BB is still low and will not save you alone anyway. The cruiser on the other hand is better at evading torps and it has the better heal. If you have a division, 2-3 cruisers can melt the only enemy CV (Gorgon) in no-time btw.

The AA is not that much better, still quite low. And if you have a AA spec CV (check Faras video for that), it is not that important.

Check the fire chance, 45%. Crazy. So you will be spamming HE anyway, unless you get a great broadside. So IFHE cannot hurt.

Don't get me wrong, but if it was important to you, why did you never check if it really was the end of the day? If I only had 2 wins left the day before, I would at least try to be cautious. Again, except if I didn't really care that much.

The guns seem to only really work against BBs, if you get close. Making GC a daredevil and a partyboat.

The lower armor levels are quite nice. I think you can only eat citadels when making mistakes.

Yeah I kite a lot in that thing. Feels like a heavy cruiser that is just immune to random citadels. Stille more fun than something like the slow October Rev.

Maybe you're right. Don't really play the Aki. Was just thinking that BBs often get out of range, after I set them on fire from smoke, in my Harekaze. Doesn't matter since I usually combine it with flooding, but Aki is lacking torps.

Short range is very handy to disengage after DD fights. Wouldn't pick AFT on my Harekaze. Akizuki is a pure Gunboat though, making the range nice for setting fires, I guess.

Me too, switched from Tanks to Warships last Winter. Got really bored with the way Tanks went ahead... Luckily I had tried the Beta back then.

Absolutely. While the turning circle is really good, the rudder is too slow to open up that wide.

Before the newest IFHE buff, it was perfectly viable to not use it on the Akizuki, to keep a good firechance. Those 100mm are extreme firestarters. Combined with flooding from torps, you can be super dangerous to BBs. And DDs in randoms usually don't angle against you, so you can shoot AP for good results.

Go for it Tank, Gojuadorai and I bought it as well. The speed is what I was missing in October Revolution and Arkansas Beta.

I completely agree with CE+FP for all BBs. I was just pointing out that the strong HE meta is forcing BBs to hide away and disengage more often. (Long range) focus fire is so strong now, that BBs have to stay more passive. At least it is possible to push IFHE smokes now. That supports aggressive play.
