F3+TRB is not good around the caps. You have no smoke and you have to get very close (8km torps). It is more suited for hunting BBs, which is pointless if there are no other DDs playing the objective, which happens a lot in randoms.

Yeah it is actually not Chung Mu being bad, but Fletcher being that good.

T9 is definitely worse than Fletcher. T10 has a different flavor compared to Gearing, it is a good ship.

Gadjah Mada has worse DPM and longer shell flight time than the Sims. Sims has the superior gun system in a DD-Fight. The overall package with the DW torps makes GM pretty nice though.

Thx for this combination WG. Midways all day. Every game. I am weak around the cap with my DW torpedoes, and BBs can see them miles ahead anyway with all the planes around. If CVs do ever get fixed, PA will be even worse than IJN.

No, each plane has a radius, in which it will spot any torp. Would be nice though.

Low tiers have lots of 2x CV matches. T7/8 might be the sweetspot though.

I met just as many lower tier CVs when I tried T6. Anyway, if CVs do ever get fixed, PA will be trash in their current state.

The whole USN CV line got an overhaul. And low tier CVs are owned by more people overall. I still see no valid point. Btw I will not waste my time to play 12v12 PA DD. You get to a pint where you value your free time enough to spend freeXP or money on it.

Is Midway the only new US CV? How is it relevant that I used freeXP to get to T8 then? Do you even have a point, or are you just jealous?

It is no problem, as I will just adapt to it. But the timing with the grind sucks, since DW get massively devalued.

Overall package is way worse. The missing gunpower hurts even more, since you cannot torpedo other DDs.

In case you are wondering, which PA DD is the best to skip, it is the T8. Benson C-Hull (4 guns only) but without Benson's DefAA or Loyang's Hydro. And it even has worse rudder shift. No thanks.

T8 cannot equip the upgrade, so you are stuck with 15 sec. Smokes are more useful in randoms and competitive.

Well, you rarely torpedo hit other DDs in CW anyway. The problem is that you lose your area denial tool against smokes. And don't forget that every enemy DD will know they can safely rush you at any opportunity.

Just an opinion, but I strongly believe that only lesser players would need to create an advantage out of being on opposite teams, instead of challenging each other. And lesser players are probably not that dangerous.

I don't think so. The normalized Fire Resistance Coefficient would probably not the the one we find on T9 or T10 now, so nothing would change for T8. On CVs they used the T6 one. That would also make T8 burn more often. Edit: Om second thought, they could use the T10 coefficient and apply buffs in fire chance where needed on lower tiers. Would be a solution for premium ships as well. Then they could just remove the coefficient completely and cut all fire chance in half, to make it more transparent (showing the real fire chance in port).

He wants to normalize the Fire Protection, like they did on CVs. That means, high tiers will be more vulnerable to fires, because the normalized coefficient would not be the one you find on T10 now. So we would have even more HE spam at T8-10. A Zao or Conqueror could set fires much more easy. Is that what you want?

Why do you think everyone is that dull? We often queued up with 2 divisions after CW. Usually were on enemy sides, never passed any information about our teams. Because why would we? It is more fun to challenge each other.

I vote No. While I do agree that most T10 don't need the protection as an advantage over T8, I don't want even more HE spam in the high tiers.

Of course torpedo damage somewhat scales, as higher tiers have access to stronger torpedoes. Torpedo belt protection does not have a coefficient for the tiers though.
