Later in the game, I will do that too, if there is a chance that their hydro is on cooldown. Works more often than one would think... Also that allows you to shoot and still disengage after 5.4. The only real dumb thing is when people just STOP in their smoke and sit there spotted.

Everyone and their mother grinded the T10 to get it, just like with the old T34. Ok, not a marathon, but a free Premium tank, which is what I meant. And the immediate buffs were minor ones. The much needed "Medium" speed came after a year I believe.

The flight time is indeed shorter. I personally prefer raw DPM and health though, since I don't really fight at 7+ km. Also I can't stand to use 4p for IFHE an a Ranked DD captain.

Wait till you are below R5. Good players know when they fight at a disadvantage. They will only let you kite them, if they have significantly more health or more fire support. And as I said before, Harekaze has less DPM and less health than Benson/Kidd. It only has the detection, which is great though.

Benson DPM is 12,5% higher than that of the B-Hull Harekaze, and Benson has more health. Not exactly "easy meat". But the detection advantage is not to be underestimated of course.

Torpedoes vs DDs are not that important for me, as those mostly don't hit below R5 anyway. Awareness of that is much higher than in Randoms. I wouldn't stop firing at a DD to play around with that TRB in Aki anyway. It can make the Aki more useful against smokes etc, but that is not the topic here. An aware Kidd will not sit in smoke like a duck. In the rare very close corner situations, the TRB takes too long for my taste anyway. So it doesn't make Aki a much bigger threat to rush. You disengage behind cover or use smoke. If you cannot get out easily, you have committed yourself far too much. Just like in a BB, you have to know your limits of aggression in a DD.

Akizuki AP only works on perfect broadsides. Whenever I see that, I immediately angle and break his DPM. Also Kidd can heal 100% of AP overpens and 50% of normal AP penetrations, meaning it can always compensate for those 20% DPM, if the Kidd does not commit and die. But in Ranked you rarely have these 1v1 anyway...

Akizuki is painfully slow at 33kn. Just trade and disengage. Never fully commit to him. He cannot come after you. I always hear people claiming "Akizuki will defeat Kidd 1v1." The truth is, that a good Kidd player will slowly wear the Akizuki down and compensate for that 20% DPM difference by healing up.

If they released a fun DD with such a strong bonus camo, I would even think about it, if the deal had nice freebies. But as a BB I got my Mo.

Have you seen the release state of the T8 FV4202? It was the first T8 British premium, and highly awaited. But it was a marathon tank, and super slow. People just called it the "Prius". Anyway, it got a lot of buffs since it is only available for money nowadays.

The marathon premiums in Tanks have always been quite disappointing as well. It sucks for those who buy them unknowingly, but it is to be expected. The Hood on the other hand was never a free ship, and still that one sucks really hard (got it from X-mas). Maybe the balancing of premiums is just random. Would explain why WG currently floods the server with Giulio Cesares.

Since Loyang got me R1 in the end, I gotta say that the T8 radars were no problem after all. 20-25sec is just not a big deal with uncoordinated firesupport. In the CW radar meta, I would have liked to have a USN DD with a heal...

Campaign and Rank 1 both done today after all. 90k torps without flooding is not easy, but not that hard either. Especially in a Shima.

Last time I got 2 supercontainers at once (CW marathon?), I had 2x speedboost upgrade. (Which would be nice, if I didn't have 10 of those and no radars)

Well, I believe that the Aki and the Kidd need to work together with a Loyang. But since the meta at R5 is not as DD heavy as last season, that is often not possible. 2 Chapayevs in a team are not common after all, so the Loyang hydro is strong as expected.

Is the Nikolai in the store? Not released either? GZ was released officially. It was just very bad and got pulled from sale. Many people paid more than 40 Euros for the ship. Why shouldn't they be allowed to play it like any other premium?

Only 1 has a decent WR, but at Rank 14.

As I stated above, it helps to keep your rudder neutral until the actual drop, and only then turn into it. Because if you lock your rudder, a good CV player will be able to take advantage of that.

The Loyang hydro will provide even lower skilled players with at least some advantage. So the average WR is high. But against Radar or another Loyang, that advantage will be gone. Will try the Kidd vs Loyang meta at R5 for myself, as soon as I don't have to play on my notebook anymore.
