Dealing with radar in a DD is just a question of experience. If you are aware of those cruisers (even Chapayev, that can radar long before you spot him), you can easily survive to be caught. Just have an escape plan. If you try to cap, stay at the edge of it and in the direction to run away immediately. If they radar you, run, wiggle and change speed if necessary. If it is a 20 sec Chappa radar, I will usually simply brake after 15 sec, to make them overshoot. And you don't try to torpedo a Belfast in a Minekaze. Avoid him and go for all the other targets. Most important thing is to always keep prepared to be radared, if you do not know their current position. Don't just sit in smoke, always be ready to run. Oh, and when you see a radar ship pushing up towards a cap, leave - he is going to use the radar for sure. (Once you are experienced enough, you can just stay at their radar range to bait them into using it, and then get out.)

Because WG wants to sell premium to everyone, which is legit. -
Missouri vs Colorado feels pretty brutal too. ... and on the way Missouri can just faceroll the enemy T7 CV with its AA and their DDs with its radar. Missouri is always a monster at T7. Musashi just smells like rape for any CV/DD on the enemy team. So it has to be afraid all game. TLDR: Musashi needs -top tier -no cv -not many DD Missouri needs: -top tier -some lube

So you are expecting them to unbind the phone without giving information to proof your identity? What good would that security measure be, if anyone could revoke it with a simple message?

rant ( when *edited* make a devision ) CV topic

How about no? What if I told you, that not a single of my captains is skilled for AA. Yet when a division mate wants to play CV, I will pick a ship that does not make me a victim to the enemy carrier? Picking Missouri over Musashi when you are guaranteed to meet an enemy CV, does not make you looking for a "loophole to improve your winrate." It is just common sense. -

This is the right attitude. Too many players start crying in chat and throw the game, before it has even started... So you are at a disadvantage there. Stop crapping your pants and accept the challenge. You will have even more fun if you win that game. -

You meet more good players at TX than at the low tiers. And they are often in dangerous divisions. Even though you always get many shitters too. -

It is not even a real tryhard division (Montana instead of AA DD/CA). -

A good Saipan player should - in theory - win against an equally skilled Kaga player, because his fighters are fast enough and cannot be locked. Good Kaga players just play defensively (over friendly AA) and wait for chances to get a strike through. Which usually works against unaware Saipan players. Midway also has better fighters than Haku, so a defensive playstyle is required, especially against a division. But that is all I can say about it, since I stick with T8 CVs, until I get more experience. -

Watch some Farazelleth streams. You can see there, how to play a Kaga defensively against a Saipan etc. -

So what? That is a TWA division. If you are afraid of the better part of our playerbase, don't play Tier 10. Go sealclubbing instead. TX CV is not like a Shimakaze, where you can absolutely suck and still get carried by your team. If you are not up for the challenge, you probably need more practice, that is all. -
I was always wondering about those minimum dispersion values. What do they even mean? Because Missouri has a minimum horizontal dispersion of 166m, but I have seen all the shells basically on top of each other, in those magical salvos.
-
Maybe he had already used his radar @15km. I see a lot of Scharnhorsts, using their torpedoes from that range...

LittleWhiteMouse compared Missouri anf Musashi results. She came to the conclusion, that Musashi earns about 75% of what Missouri does, with a similar xp performance. Also Roma with Beercan earns more than Musashi (without gamescom camo).

OP is has much higher hit ratio and damage in the Roma. People keep focusing on that one salvo that went everywhere, instead of looking at the average performance.

Yeah it is a medium range ship, best played just outside of its detection. I roam like a cruiser till late game, and then I push in and bounce some Yamato shells.

Rewarding Good players on Losing Teams

Keeping your star in a DD in Ranked is much harder than people realize. I remember having 3 caps in a Kidd game and still losing it to a BB. -

Yes, many people in high tiers are too passive, because they cannot read the game and are afraid. . But if you play your class properly, you will always try to keep your aggression within your limits, to stay alive for your team. Again, you can contest caps without suiciding. Why are people not understanding that??? -

Some day you will have more experience in this game, and you will see, that there is a big difference between "camping" and playing intelligent. -

The "meta" at low tiers is inexperienced players just running into each other like idiots, yes. Doesn't mean we should balance the game around it. -
I hope they don't buff the Roma, so people keep underestimating it. No other BB plays this much like a cruiser. But with damn good armor and punchy guns. Who cares that my accuracy is inconsistent, if I get to shoot peoples broadside from concealment. Who cares that I get overpens on Loliboats, if my shells fly like lasers and can seriously hurt TX BBs. So yeah, keep bashing the most fun BB, because it has a downside too...

Well, I would love to have a fast battleship with accurate guns, but bad armor. A proper battlecruiser. But I have seen on Tanks, that the average potato cannot deal with great firepower on a mobile platform (Grille 15 anyone?). They are simply lacking any awareness and therefore easy prey for that kind of playstyle. -

Sorry, but that is how you lose games. If you want to rank out in a DD, you have to play more intelligent. Again: contesting a cap does not mean rushing in like an idiot. -

What you do, depends on the situation. -Sometimes you can hydro them through cover -Sometimes you can block the cap out of their hydro range -Somes you can wait for your team to radar them -Sometimes you can just torpedo their smoke and let them have the cap for now, you can block/take it afterwards -Sometimes you just take another cap instead -Etc... Just realize that dying is much worse than losing the cap for a minute. What you don't do is rushing in and just trading 1:1 like a retard.
