  1. and shell trajectory, which is far more important than what you mentioned it has superior mobility and camo to mahan, gunwise is not better as 5 turrets are better than 4 due to current turret blowup mechanics, but the mobility and camo advantage doesn't come near to the advantage of the 9.2 km torps - which is why i suggested the old benson ones since they are weaker than the 9.2 and better than the 5.5 ones i like the ship, don't get me wrong but the best thing about it got nerfed massively (the ability to inflict reliable damage from afar) and was not compensated by much; and when you buy one of the better premium ships (which sims was at the time it was on sale) you shouldn't expect it to get the worst
  2. They want us who bought the sims to buy the blyska or lo yang or whichever new destroyer comes next. I think that is the only reason why they keep the sims crap. If that wasn't the case, they would have thought balancing out with the rest of the us destroyers when they received better torpedoes to compensate for the weakened guns. Ofc the sims got a "buff" before that, it was given the possibility to mount the worse torpedoes in history of the game that can only hit drunk zombies, and if they hit, they only do a minor bruise. WG, if you don't want to improve the guns, you can at least give it better torps, say the old 8.4 (or was it 8.2) ones the benson had, or the possibility to mount the level 5 and 6 upgrades like the arkansas beta. Or at least say that you want to leave it a crappy ship so we need to buy more of them so have the same product we payed for. But have the balls to admit it.

    Divisions in Ranked Battles

Ranked battles now are like team battles in wot, but without the team. The concept seems stupid, teamwork is the most important thing in ranked and WG forbids us to play with people that we actually know. Divisions should be balanced (the same number on each side) not to give unfair advantage, but they should be implemented.
  4. Will help for some, I got shot down multiple times by friendly torpedoes launched from 8+km. I don't say this will solve the friendly torpedo problem but it will sure improve your chances of not being tked if you pay atention. Would you kindly vote on this poll, thanks
  5. DD captains, please support this, it really improves DD and not only gameplay: We need a shortcut key to announce the course of torpedoes to avoid those situations where you fire 10km torpedoes in a clear way and some other friendly dd gets in the way 2 mins later. The key could work like this: You press the key after you launched torpedoes and it alerts everyone that you fired, your position (sector) and torpedo course (absolute N, NE, NNE etc) and a dotted line flashing on the minimap for 3 seconds to show the course). This could avoid a lot of frustration of DD captains and other ships alike. Another suggestion of mine is the possibility to turn of AA and secondaries during the countdown before the battle. It's not as important as the above, but it would ease the DD captain's llife a little.
  6. You will get compensated with gold and free xp if I recall correctly for your contribution in the beta proportional to your activity. So you can go directly to a higher tier if you want. Still if the account tier works the same way, you'll have to play at least some lower tier games to unlock free xp. If you play the beta and get experience playing the game you'll quickly burn through those tiers anyway and better keep the free xp for modules. GL

Farragut - to stock, or not to stock

I really despise the 4.5 range, if you take a BB broadside you are almost always screwed by the secondaries. I prefer to to more torp runs than to make one good run, maybe 2. If you ambush corners under 4.5 you can get caought out when you try to turn and run away, so 4.5km torps are a no-go for me. Hull-wise I prefer the upgraded one because the extra maneuverability. Not a big difference, but every bit counts on destroyers. 2/3 of the dime i use my front guns so I don't really mind loosing the center one, I still kick others' destroyers asses same tier or below. Lately with all the Sims running around its a feast too, beacause most of them can't shoot
