Yearly check-up on the status of subs. Discussion about the same and subs still in the game. No need to reinstall

To me worst thing is how subs add to the workflow of destroyers. Like they did not have enough to worry about previously. And second thing is that, historically, how many times submarines participated in naval battles if you exclude convoy battles ? And there is battle mode for convoys, which ridiculously did not originally have any subs. IF you include them then they should have much slower speed and same torps as anybody else. Maybe some day I will reinstall game but thus far happy with other games.

There were 24 subs sunk by other sub. And if you are thinking that subs sunk thousands of ships then you are probably counting merchantships which should not be counted because they are not WARships. And this is a World of Warships game although there are now some merchantships in one of the battle modes. ("most" has been translated to 100%) That ratio is not non event in my opinion. But please continue bickering, I just wanted to interject some facts and pause the silliness of this thread (it was you @Smegger213 who brought WW2 into discussion).

I have had some good times reading these posts Wanted to mention something about those homing torpedoes in the game that Germans had something similar in 1943, acoustic torpedo, which basically homed in on ship's propeller noise. Ofc these were not the magical weapon for the Germans in the end, because at this stage of the war their subs were destroyed way before they were even able to spot ships. I am following this thread with interest and in overall how this Sub feature will evolve in the future. Like I mentioned I uninstalled my game few days ago which makes me a bit sad after playing this quite nice game for some years (my forum profile shows my WOT account name, I have had always some mess up with my WOT & WOWS accounts which I cannot understand but wargaming knows the best, maybe related to using WOT with separate client installation and using WOWS via Steam). I have around 5.5k battles in WOWS (with account fubar_defender).

I have been playing this game for years now. Enjoyed playing few games a day, here and there, and I was kind of dreading if subs hit the Random battles and now they have done it. Most of my battles are with the DDs and still I would like to have max 2 dds per side so that battle would be more enjoyable - usual case is that there are 3-4 per side. As a DD player subs just adds to a long list of tasks that I need to do with my DD - now there are subs torping me in addition to most of enemy fleet while I try to cap or torp enemy ships -> enjoyment gone. I really don't want to concentrate also on sub detection and sub killing task in addition to spotting, keeping enemy DDs at bay, capping... I got a bit blind sided by the update and after one battle with subs in the battle I uninstalled the game with a heavy heart. I will keep looking if the situation but I won't be coming back until subs are out of the random battles OR there is a filter option to play only in matches without subs.
