In a RN cruiser? Hardly. In most cruisers having an extra 2k or 3k health won't save you from a BB salvo unless RNG smiles on you. If the skill cost was 2 points (or 1) sure, but 3? No thank you. Adrenalin rush is different pair of shoes. I find it highly useful on every ship type as it effects torpedo as well as gun reload. Any ship has a use of concealment expert but you getting targeted by 8 ships has nothing to do with concealment rather with map awareness and positioning. In which case having good concealment helps you get away. We can debate about skills all we want but you'll find out that best of players use certain set of skill for certain types of ships 9 out of 10 times, and there's a reason for that, cos that's the best set of skills you can put on a ship.

Survivability expert skill is stupid, period. You don't gain that much HP that would validate spending 3 points on it. In my opinion that is. And if you gonna put it on something, than DD is your only option. Concealment expert is the most valuable skill for any ship class. Getting undetected is vital when you are under fire, taking hits. Also in a tight spot, brawling, going 1v1, you want to be the one spotting enemy first and firing that first salvo. It gives you massive advantage. You got 1500 battles, you are still learning. If you don't want to listen to me, and you probably shouldn't as I'm an average player. :D Listen to CMDR cornflakes. You don't get those kind of stats without knowing how to play the game and which skills to pick. ;)

Actually, OP is right, we need a skill based MM. But his approach and attitude about it... wow.... too many games lately? Might wanna take a break? Play something else? I would like to see an even split of ships and players when looking at teams. 4 Des moins queuing for match? Split them up, two in each team. Too often I see one team has 3 or 4 or 5 radars while other has none. Why MM algorithm can't split them up? 4 players with above 60% WR queuing for match, split them FFS! I'm aware WR means little in terms of player skill but at least it's a measure of something. Or split them by avg. dmg. or avg. exp. How often did you play matches in which one team had mostly gale league players and other typhoon or storm? Again, I'm aware it's not great indication of skill but still why not split them up, equal number of typhoon players in each team.

Fiji is awesome. I loved it playing. Rest of the line, not so much. Specially after the smoke nerf. You really need concealment expert on cruisers, on every cruiser. I have both and I would suggest non of them, waste of credits. Tier for tier bismrack and amagi are much better and enjoyable to play.

Yeah, the thing is. Even if your cruiser is somewhat of a brawler you don't try to force those kind of situations. You want to stay at range to maximize your survivability but if you do find yourself in CQC situation you have awesome tools at your disposal: hydro, secondaries, good ROF and devastating AP Although I have to disagree with my clan mate @Quallo_Musto there Your default ammo should not be AP. Instead you should be actively switching between AP and HE, more than in other cruisers.

Stock roon is somewhat a painful grind until you get it upgraded. You wanna stay at max range of your guns, always keep moving and spam HE. Basic cruiser tactics. But if you find yourself up close and facing broadside enemy that's when things get interesting as you can usually devastate them in one or two AP salvos plus you got solid torpedoes and very good secondaries. Any cruiser than can brawl as much as snipe is a good cruiser in my book

German BBs for close range brawling USN BBs for mid range IJN for long range sniping RN BBs for maximum BBQ! Also, playing high tier matches with premiums without basic knowledge of game mechanic and only playing so few games is a big no no in my book. You are being a burden for your team.

Hindenburg/moskva comes to mind. Also scharnhorst as a cruiser/BB hybrid

I've been playing since May 2017., racked up some 2500+ games with a WR of 51% (if anyone cares). Don't own any tier 10 ships yet but got a fair amount of tier nines (and at least one ship from every other tier) I'm looking for mature relaxed clan for divisions and operations, someone to share a laugh with and win some games :) I'm a 31 y.o. from Croatia (GMT +1). Mostly playing in the evening hours. Cheers!
