Person that doesn't want to improve won't. No matter how much informational stuff you shove down his throat. I never believed hand holding was a good way to teach someone something. I'm more for a: throw it into a deep end, it swims or it sinks. Elite dangerous, space sim from 2015, had such approach. And it worked. Difference is, that game wasn't F2P. WOWS heavily depends on fresh income of bots.. I mean... players. And as such it needs to be as approachable as it can be.

I firmly believe that issue is in players and not the game or lack of tutorials. If a person wants to learn and improve he'll find a way to do so. If not, no amount of hand holding will help him. And when it comes to "hand holding", I think it's contra productive. Game is easy as it is, Introduce "go here and wait" layout or pop up messages saying "switch to HE", "angle!!", "ship you are targeting is showing broadside, switch to AP"... that's just brain dead gameplay. You might as well go read a book and let the game play by itself. All that being said, I can see it getting implemented in near future. Game is being dumbed down on regular basis. Lets see how low we can go.

My impressions so far: Massa is an insta "I Win" button. Haven't found a counter for it yet. That ship is designed for 1v1 situations. CVs vary from OP AF to completely harmless but it's not the class it's the players playing it. There is no middle ground. There are no average CV players. Either complete trash or godlike. But nevertheless I am having so much fun. It's challenging and entertaining and it's clean, salt free fun.

Some good valid points which should be taken into consideration for this and any future ranked season. But also some points I don't particularly agree with . All in all thank you for your input. Any and all quality posts (and this surely is one) are sorely missed on forums these days.

Good - Historical references, ship models, no premium ammo like in WOT, overall very generous and rewarding grinds and events (ok PR event is a sh*t storm but overall I think WOWS department is much more generous compared to WOT), clan battles Bad - WGs relationship with its community and lack of balance when it comes to certain ships, classes and MM Ugly - playerbase
