the first two rounds of submarine testing had showed already that subs in wows are a very bad idea. And the third round was even much much worse, an huge step backwards compared to the second round. So no, for sure we don't need subs on the normal server, even not in an separate game mode... But i am afraid that we will see subs in 0.9.4., if rumours are true ...
