so soll es doch auch sein...wie angekündigt wurde gestern früh der Client schon auf 0.9.11. gepatcht, der Server folgt erst am Donnerstag wie üblich. Da seit 0.9.9. bei einem Update auch die vorherige Version noch verfügbar bleibt, kann man auch nach der Installation von 0.9.11. ganz normal auf dem 0.9.10.-Server spielen, das WGC startet automatisch den passenden Client (bzw sollte es).

but it seems not when the WGC is already running... For me the WGC launches the correct version, but when I start the new worldofwarships64.exe manually (with the WGC already running!) the new client is started (and of course cannot connect). @Atorpadmaybe you can also force the use of the (correct) old version this way...

I have no idea how it really works...when the "single client" was announced in the dev blog, of course the question came up about the different update times for the different servers, how this should work. And it was said that when a new update is installed the previous version will be kept, so the different versions on different servers are no issue. So while the WGC shows 0.9.11. as installed, the last 0.9.10. is still there and can be used by the WGC. So the question is how the WGC determines which version to start...

clients have a "backward compability" of 1 version since 0.9.9., so a 0.9.11. client launches a 0.9.10. version when connecting to a 0.9.10. server

we should see tomorrow when the update is live on NA, how long the new directives can be completed

I'd guess 3 weeks after 0.9.11., since there are only 3 directives this time

in 0.9.12.

at the moment you need a victory to get snowflakes, RB points, ... with the update another option is to get 300 base XP (at least), no matter if it is a lose or victory... so it is only an alternative way to claim something, not to earn it...
