Maybe not caring about credits makes me value them way less.

Sceptical... Either way the bonuses are awful for a single use camo.

50 x Valentine's 2017 camos and 50 x Gamescom camos. Valentine's camos are good, Gamescom camos are trash. All together a very underwhelming two SCs. At least I didn't get any of the awful upgrades like fighter or spotter plane upgrade.

Does the Atago needs it's Hitbox finally reviewed ?
Nechrom replied to HP_Belgium's topic in General Discussion
I've not been seeing a difference in Atago's armor compared to other tier 8 cruisers. If anything it's better, with her 41mm of deck armor which is vastly superior to her tier-mates. I doubt a heavily angled Atago will get citadelled in any other way than straight bow/stern overmatch by BBs. -
1. The option to remove the "Commander Unavailable"-message and darkening of ships in the carousel when you don't have a commander on the ship. 2. In the same vein, automatically link captains trained for a ship to that ship for easy one-button assigning (if more than one captain is trained to a single ship the button opens a drop down for selection). For premiums you would get the ability to manually link one captain per ship for the same purpose, allowing a single captain to be linked to multiple ships. 3. Permanent battle history not limited to a login session. Bonus points if it's also linked to an official replay system.

When you run boxed coolers and never clean your case... I guess you can see why I don't OC even though I have the CPU for it.

Am I doing this right?

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
Nechrom replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Nice. The nerfed reload was imo the worst part of the Musashi. If the firepower is the same as Yamato I can deal with worse turret traverse. I'm still a bit confused about what the Musashi is supposed to do about CV strikes, since Yamato already has pretty meh AA. So with 50% of her long range and 26% of her medium range AA, is it just a case of shrugging and play another ship? -
Ah yes. I spent the night farming negative karma and dumping my win rate doing the "Be the first to spot a German BB using a RN CL." I don't mind these missions as much if you can pick a DD or even a CV. But forcing you to suicide charge at the start of the battle in a cruiser with a plane mounted instead of smoke, hoping to outpace your own DDs. Not to mention it being basically impossible in CV battles and literally impossible when there's no German BB on the enemy team. Not fun for me, not fun for my team. As someone who never gives up a battle and always try to play to win (before tonight). It hurts when I basically can't complete a mission while at the same time playing to win.

This one? -
Well the Iowa/Missouri definitely has the firepower. The only BB with more armor is the Yamato, but it instead has the vulnerable citadel. If you haven't played the Iowa since they essentially removed its citadel then you should definitely give it another go.
-
Missouri definitely. I never saw a reason to rush a tech tree line. I'd rather play the game. Missouri is a tried and tested ship both as a good performer and a great grinder. If you have the Iowa then you know if you'll like it. It's going away soon and the replacement looks to be both worse and more expensive.

The thing which holds the Gallant back is the gun arcs which puts the USN 127mm guns to shame. Combined with a bit limiting torpedo margin (shared by the Shinonome) and long torpedo reload, it can be tricky to work with. Definitely a good general purpose DD, but there are better picks for either role. Fubuki works better as a torpedo boat, Farragut is a better gunboat and Anshan/Gnevny/Fu Shun are comparable in the general purpose category but with a bit more gun focus and less torpedo focus.
-
I'm also guessing that they might be keeping tech tree premiums out of the shop unless there's a special offer going on.

In some situations. She's good versus anything firing HE and lower tier BBs that don't just derp through her bow. Pretty awful against heavy AP shells, DDs (torpedoes) and CVs. It's one of those balanced ships that ends up pretty boring as a result, nothing really interesting about it, especially when Giulio Cesare released at almost the same time and was better at pretty much everything. Fun and pretty well balanced ship. Say what you will about the design, but she's a unique DD without being OP. I didn't even realize that the Alabama was from 2017. Compared to her closest tech tree cousin she's perfectly balanced. Now that might actually push her into the above average category due to how good the NC already is. Personally she's probably my favorite of the lot, maybe even out of every premium ship. Perfect example of the opposite, where being better than her tech tree counterpart isn't enough to make her a good ship. It might just be personal preference but I didn't find the De Grasse to be a strong ship at all. It's a big unarmored CL without smoke at tier 6. The guns aren't anything special (unlike the RU CLs) and she doesn't have anything else going for her imo.

ST, French battleships Base range of secondary armaments was increased: Richelieu and Gascogne, tier VIII - from 5 km to 7 km Alsace, tier IX - from 7 to 7,5 km France, tier X - from 7 to 8 km These changes increase the priority of close combat and make the battleships more efficient overall.

And you are more likely to lose/win just because of random matchmaking. Also detonations don't all happen at max HP. If someone detonates at low health or in a position where they would have died 5 seconds later anyway, then it makes no difference.
-
I'll say that Giulio Cesare and Kidd are probably the best premiums of the year. The best balanced ones would be Mutsu, Harekaze, Duca d'Aosta, Gallant, Hood and Kii. Worst would be Ashitaka. Then we have a bunch in between. Good but not OP: Nelson, Vampire and Enterprise. Weak but not trash: Duke of York, Makarov and Huanghe. I can't place Kaga since she's borderline OP with good MM and absolute trash with bad MM.
-
Well actually... it's a 21.5% chance that one or more get detonated. But that's beside the point. I don't know how this became about anyone detonating and not about you detonating. Do you usually quit when someone else gets detonated?
-
That's how real random spreads work. People always think random should be an even distribution, but there will always be clustering in a truly random distribution.

Less than 1% of battles seems "rare" to me at least. But what do I know.

WG just gave me a bunch of free stuff for logging in inc free Premium ships etc!
Nechrom replied to IanH755's topic in General Discussion
I understand what you're saying and I'm not against incentives for players to return. But the same extends to all kinds of active players too. Things we can get "for free" (not pay real money for) by playing the game and complete different criteria isn't seen as a gift from WG, and rightly so. I don't think many play the game like it's work in order to get the "free" stuff, but it's definitely making them spend more time playing the game than they otherwise would as I'm sure is the intent behind these missions/campaigns. There is a difference between gifts and rewards. The gifts makes you feel appreciated and garners good will towards the person/company giving them, you get them with no strings attached. Rewards makes you engage in specific activities and is a mutual thing where someone wants someone else to do something by rewarding that action. Now the former, the gifts, are what veterans/active players lack from WG. We are incentivized to do certain things, but never just given things like these gifts out of nowhere or precisely because of our investment in the game. And normally that would be fine, because that's what we've been conditioned to believe is WG's way of doing things. That is until we see that WG does actually give out huge gifts for doing absolutely nothing, but only to those who don't play/support the game. -

So getting to play World of Warships is a reward in itself now? Aren't you stretching just a tiny bit? Jokes aside. Obviously time not spent playing WoWs is spent doing something else. Since we can't assume what anyone who doesn't play the game is doing instead, we can't really count simply playing the game as a perk of playing the game. Just like I don't count the basic XP and credit income you get after each battle as "gifts from WG". The basic economy required to play and progress isn't part of the equation.
