Numbers pulled straight from the game client. 12th BB is the CW-rental Große Kurfürst, 15th cruiser is the CW-rental Hindenburg and 2nd CV is the GZ Test.

Suggestion Swedish ships - example minor nation
Nechrom replied to Johan_Jung's topic in General Discussion
But since the concept of the game is about warships fighting, not reenacting WW1 and WW2 battles, any nation with an active navy which could provide material for one or more complete lines should be open for introduction into the game. As we can clearly see from World of Tanks, it also matters if the nation designed competent vehicles and has information regarding those available for WG to use.- 168 replies

The only difference I remembered was Missouri's way thicker internal bow armor.
-
Right. I was looking at the Missouri assuming they were the same.
-
You keep saying the same thing. I want you to show me how it's >30°, not where you think you can penetrate. The hit you're referring to in the video is a zero-damage "penetration". No one knows what those signify. I can tell you for a fact that you didn't actually penetrate the armor though.
-
I am looking. At the actual armor model even. Please show me how anything along the side of a bow on Missouri (or basically any ship, even the fat ones) is over 30° from the center line. It's not even close.
-
I will grant you that it is technically possible to penetrate the peak of the bow due to how detailed it is modeled, but it's not a realistic place to aim. Switching to HE and just brute forcing the bow and superstructure for HE damage and fire will get you 10x better results than throwing the 100 sided dice over and over hoping to get a 100. However the "cheeks" are completely impenetrable from the front. There is no way to penetrate them from a bow on position other than with the 460mm guns. You need an impact angle larger than 30° to even have a chance not to ricochet, and those cheeks aren't even close to that number.

And by announced you mean being the 11th article on the page. Not even visible in the launcher unless you start scrolling down. Servers restart every Thursday at 4:30, in case you didn't know.
-
Shouldn't restart at this time anyway. According to the front page the restart should have been at 4:30.

DDs versus BB AP has always been an issue. Nothing has really changed about the mechanics since release, but other things compound to make it more of an issue than it was before. On release most people assumed that HE was the correct ammo choice for BBs fighting DDs. It was still perpetuated for quite a while longer after that. DDs have become more and more visible: DDs with less concealment have been introduced, radar has been introduced and more hydro has been added. Last but not least post-battle statistics have improved and something you would earlier have shrugged off as being hit several times, you can now see for what it truly is. The issue remains that BBs do too much damage to DDs with AP. Whether it is through bugs or actual mechanics (a little of both it turns out), it's a problem of game balance.
-
This is almost meaningless though due to how penetration actually tends to scale with caliber. Armor you can overmatch would have to be at >85° from the perpendicular to even achieve the effective thickness to stop the shell. And when we're talking about large margins of overmatch (with most DDs) it just gets more ridiculous.

None of the above. Unfortunately that's not a poll option for some reason.
-
Typical WG, discriminating against autoromantics.

Reminds me of the meme image I did.

Why specifically French players?
-
Does anyone know if you get the daily container missions even if you get the Aigle for free? Because if you do you should be getting a lot more containers (than 25) before the collection closes.
-
What is it about this time?
-
Credits I assume. I have no idea about the 200% XP missions.
-
WoWs: The Game, is overrated. WoWs: The Forum, is where it is.
-
It hasn't been a chore so far, so I don't see a reason why I couldn't complete it. But I already got the Aigle, so if it suddenly becomes rough I'm not going to push myself.
-
Right. So 32 premiums if you don't count the tier 2-3 ones.
-
If you just filtered premiums then you would also get the temporary clan wars ships (3) and GZ Test if you have it.
-
79 premium ships in total. That's counting the ARP/Dragon ships, but not the GZ Test, clan wars ships and pseudo-premium French BBs. 67 if you subtract the tier II and III ships. 57 if you also subtract the ARP/Dragon ships, for the true tier 4-9 premium ship count.
