The only real alternative if you absolutely don't want to unintentionally offer discounted doubloons is to do like Steam does with its bundles and simply reduce the price based on how much of the contents the player already owns. That way the player gets everything they paid for at the full advertised discount and WG don't need to cough up any doubloons they don't want to.
  3. I don't understand this policy change. Why can't players who already own the ship get the full ship value in doubloons? Players who don't own the ship already don't get only 70% of the ship they purchased. So why is the rest treated differently and getting only a part of what they paid for. If you decide to go though with this change then you also need to correct the advertised discount %, or it's false advertising.
  4. Those "new" prices are just the standard prices they've had for as long as I can remember. If anything you should be happy that you got a >25% base discount on everything for a while.

    While it's true that a player on standard account will have to try really hard if they wish to earn credits on tier 9 and 10... ...this is just not true. I've played with premium for as long as the game has been out and I've never to my knowledge lost credits in a battle, on any ship. That's while running every premium consumable on every ship and using no signal flags affecting credit income (because I don't need to). The economy is balanced around the fact that players naturally gravitate towards top tiers, so the economy gets tougher the higher you go to reduce that effect. It's also obviously this way so that premium account, premium ships and other credit bonuses becomes more attractive.

    Tier 7 premium DD's: which is the best?

    tl;dr - Leningrad Sims: Extremely nimble, great AA for a DD and give a lot of XP. Torpedoes are usable in many situations although they aren't very effective. Z-39: Huge HP pool, hydro and fast reloading torpedoes. Guns are weak compared to most other DDs, gets you spotted out to 3.3km in smoke and doesn't get benefits from AFT and BFT. Leningrad: Insane speed, great guns with great velocity and damage. Average torpedoes and not too stellar concealment. Błyskawica: Lots of guns with decent stats and high max speed. Torpedoes are barely okay and concealment is meh. Conclusion: Sims and Z-39 are good but more specialized. Sims being the agile cap pusher/contester and Z-39 being the "play the long game" support and torp ship. Leningrad and Błyskawica are both similar in strengths and weaknesses, but it's tough to find anything that the Leningrad doesn't do better. You can play the Lenin as a lower tier Khaba blasting around at max speed peppering targets at long range and dodging incoming fire, or you can use your great guns and decent torps to push caps and being able to choose your engagements using your speed.

  9. For this campaign? Nah. It's permanent, so no rush. I do have a few examples of earlier temporary campaigns where I've had to resort to "special tactics" to varying degrees. But it's no worse than what you get with most missions outside of the campaigns. So really nothing new. You'll always have optimal approaches to doing missions, unless of course you want every mission to just be "Earn [number] XP" or "Earn [number] credits".

    The alternative is that you only have the option to report for chat abuse or AFK. Would you rather have people troll with that? And as soon as you give Karma an intrinsic value, even if it's just for bragging, the unjustified reports will become an actual problem.

    I really liked Baltimore at tier 9, but I don't feel like Buffalo is that different tbh. Slightly worse turning due to being longer, but a heavier salvo. It's a toss up for me.

    It's misdirection to make people feel like they "punished" someone for doing something stupid. If it takes even a small load off of chat, I'd say it has done its job. It's also there to fill out the menu so it's not just "Misbehavior in chat" and "AFK". Which are the only two that actually does something besides adding or subtracting from a number tied to your profile. At some point I think they used the Karma system for something on the RU server. So it might be there just in case they ever come up with a use for it.

    "Supercontainer" is just a name. I've gotten 68 of them since they were first introduced. If even half of them contained amazing stuff, that would be ridiculous.

    Already got two Supercontainers this month. 7 days of premium and 50 Hydra signal flags. Pick "Try Your Luck" crates every time. Nothing more I can tell you.

    Some Ideas For Radar

    Radar was a mistake. I'm not memeing, it really was. Buffing cruisers by nerfing DDs was a horrible idea. DDs didn't need a nerf. If they want to keep radar they should differentiate it more from hydro by making it so that radar only reveals ship locations on the map and does not render the actual ship, add something like an accuracy buff to ships while using radar to simulate radar FCS. Then they could increase the range of radar as well. Fixed.

    New EULA is incredibly unethical.

    EULA and Consumer Rights always clash. That doesn't make it illegal per se, it just means that it will not hold up in many cases when it gets challenged. Isn't this just to use their copyrighted material, like logos and stuff (for fansites). Critique is already covered by fair use.
  18. I don't know. Out of everything, port slots really never become useless because we'll continue to get more ships. Right now I would love to have more use for credits honestly, since I'm stockpiling way more than I need by just playing the game.

    DDs - Concealment expert or RPF

    RL (come on, it was called RPF for not even a month on the test server for gods sake) is one of those captain skills that become less useful the better you are, like Vigilance or IFA. No doubt it still has a use even for great players, but very diminished. Seeing how DDs are one of those classes that gain a lot from many different captain skills, I wouldn't recommend it for DDs in random battles where your ability to communicate the information you gain with RL to your team is severely limited and of questionable value.

    It's probably just rust combined with a bit of bad luck in your recent battles. I don't see any other reason why you would suddenly drop like that in WR.

    Unfortunately you are experiencing your WR returning to what it should be after a period of it being too high for your level of performance. You are climbing the tiers fast and maybe focusing most on those new high tier ships. So you get more challenging battles when you are playing with and against more experienced players. Your XP and damage naturally increases as you play higher tier ships with more damage output against enemies with more health. But your WR is only affected in the long run by your own ability to influence the outcome of the battle. If you look at your Personal Rating (PR) you can see that it's not at the same level as your WR. PR is not perfect but it's better than just looking at damage and XP since PR is weighted on a ship by ship basis against the server average, so it isn't affected by what tiers you are focusing on other than if that makes you play worse. While your PR is indeed also increasing, it's still not at the level where you should expect a >57% WR. So if you continue to play and improve without getting tilted by your recent WR drop, you should start regaining WR as your PR continues to improve.

    I don't know. The Hindenburg upgrade looks like a fun brawling build. With a survival captain, it could get pretty interesting. The Moskva one could also be interesting since you might as well give up on the visibility if you can get those nice bonuses instead. You'll be spotted basically always anyway if your line-of-sight game isn't on point.

    Interesting to go for "optional re-balance" via upgrades instead of changing ships for everyone. Some of these are indeed no-brainers, but others have very definite situational value and will not be for everyone.
