Teamkilling with a CV. That takes some really special skills. Complaining about the bots being too good also doesn't do you any favors.
-
I'm far from a CV player, so take this with a grain of salt, but isn't the border limitation only when you click to place the drop maneuver? Can't you move it around once it's placed so that it's in a more favorable location close to the border? As for the original question. Nah, border surfing is fine unless you for whatever reason think that ships should just instantly die when they hit the border. Ships move much slower when in contact with the border and you don't need to take into account any aim other than a point along the border. Figuring out where along the border to aim is also very logical and follows a simple and very basic rule: The ship's movement vector is divided into two; perpendicular and parallel to the border. Then the perpendicular vector is disregarded leaving only the parallel one to take into consideration.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Nechrom replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
I definitely remember that battle. The team took ages to cap C against just a handful of enemies while the rest of the enemy team slowly made their way from A unopposed until it was just you, me and one more teammate making a last stand at C. -
It's only affected by premium account status. None of the other bonuses count.

Indianapolis Marathon (01.06. - 16.07.)

14 battles is what it took to finally get this over with. Roma remains the clutch ship for these idiotic missions since you can get undetected again so easily if you start getting focused. It's also pretty effective regardless of target, maybe not DDs as much. -

Indianapolis Marathon (01.06. - 16.07.)

Gave up after 9 battles of not completing the requirements. Top of the team on every loss. Every win I'm chasing a fleeing enemy flank while the other flank is grinding up the entire enemy team and the battle is over in 10min. These requirements are absolutely awful. Worst combination so far. -
25mm in theory. Right now it sports a 50mm beak with no way to reach the citadel from the front without going through it. 50k HP? Where did you get that number from? Afaik both versions have 72k HP. Both ships are HE proof from all but KM CA and BBs (or Henri with IFHE ). Only the bow/stern and superstructure are vulnerable.
-
I don't know about that. Sure, no DFAA hurts, but the AA is still decent. You might be thinking of the Kronshtadt's AA? Stalingrad has 167dps @ 5.7km!!!, 124dps @ 3.5km and 84dps @ 3.1km. Not amazing, but not bad either. Better than both Yamato and GK.
-
It's still much more tanky than other cruisers and has a juicy 72k HP. At least as durable as the Kronshtadt, which means that the survivability is more than fine. Unlike the Kron, she also has a 50mm deck/upper belt, so no BB AP overmatch or cruiser HE damage. She's also faster than the Kron, at 35kts. Almost 23k base gun range with cruiser dispersion, USN CA auto-bounce angles and 950m/s muzzle velocity. That's with 29 base RPM (18.5 sec base reload). Edit: Right now she still has the 50mm nose pike as well. Just checked.

BB AP with cruiser dispersion and improved auto-bounce angles. What could possibly go wrong.
-
You obviously haven't looked at any other BB of other nations or you'd have found that they all had around those max ranges. But what the game uses for max range of the main guns isn't the literal max range that the guns had, but instead an implied effective max range based on at what range the ship would be able to spot its own shell splashes without the use of secondary spotting like planes (which we instead get as a consumable). The reduced range of secondary batteries are purely for balance due to them being AI controlled. In-game and compared to the other ships at the same tier, the Roma is very powerful. She has the highest penetration AP shells, fast rotating turrets, good turret angles, heavy armor and good concealment. The Giulio Cesare is arguably the best ship, full stop, at tier 5 even going so far as being very good compared to tier 6 and 7 ships. If the game isn't your cup of tea, then just accept that and move on. Calling it a "children game" is, ironically enough, a childish thing to say.

Did you get "Special Bonus Mission" with the "Freedom Container"?
Nechrom replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Been collecting every Indianapolis mission container possible (both playing the ship and doing the unlock missions) + I bought 10 of the "special" ones in the shop. Not a single mission for a ship yet. -
I'm calling you a liar because for the entire time I've played WoWs (since CBT), I've never experienced even close to the concentration of general negative behavior you are describing. Not even during short isolated intervals. I'm not blaming the victim, I'm questioning if the victim is even a victim in the first place. And can we please not jump straight into rape-analogies? Thanks.

Well that should be a pretty easy one to prove/disprove. I'll just ping @EdiJo
-
I'm going to call you a liar, because the alternative is that you yourself are acting horribly to draw this kind of "toxic" response upon yourself. For a game with a completely open chat between teams, WoWs is by far among the least "toxic" out there. I'll have at most 1-2 bad experiences each month with someone team torping me then going off at me like it's my fault that he's now pink or in general calling me out, plus a handful of variations on: "team is bad".

It's not enable on my side. And it IS enabled for me, yet I didn't get any patch. I also doubt they would start pre-loading a patch a week in advance. That's 25% of their dev cycle.
-
I didn't get a patch and no patch is scheduled for this week. No idea why you got one.
-
No, but surviving isn't the main concern. If it was you wouldn't be able to play the objectives at all unless you wait until the very end when it's also too late. Not if the sacrifice you make to stay alive makes your continued existence a non-factor in the fight for victory.

Why using oil as a gauge to determine how much coal/steel a player should get is quite a poor method & strategy.
Nechrom replied to MrFingers's topic in General Discussion
Another kick in the face for paying non-clan/ranked players. GG -
Today we have an even worse mission. Good luck with that. WG doesn't seem to get that "playing to win" is pretty much the opposite of "play to survive". So now we get even more of these long range waiting games that is just a coin flip because you're even more isolated and focused than usual if you try and play for the win.

From Reddit: "PSA: Buying premium ships on sale for cheap doubloons... it might be over"
Nechrom replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Then that begs the question why you picked doubloons to compensate for duplicate ship purchases and not just cut the price for people who already own one or more ships from a bundle so you don't have to compensate them with anything. -
But it's "unfair" to everyone in equal measures. Unless of course you play try-hard divisions. That's the only way to break out of the MM treadmill we're all in.
-
I mean I get where you're coming from. If a losing streak happens to coincide with trying to get this mission done, it can be really frustrating. It actually took me way longer than it should for this exact reason. Can't control when you get those un-carryable teams.
-
I don't understand the issue.
