    Patch 0.5.0.1

Yolo-rush isolated enemy ships. Until such an opportunity presents itself, just spam high damage HE shells at max range. At least they have guns that can realistically be used as offensive weapons and not just for self defense. Essentially they are really small and fast cruisers. Made even more pronounced by better ballistics resulting in better hit rate at medium to long range.
  2. Deutschland is almost 10 years older than Admiral Hipper. If you'd put those guns on the current tier 9 and 10 on the other hand, that would be interesting. They are only hypothetical ship designs anyway, so you could make changes to those pretty easily.

    Patch 0.5.0.1

But you spot them steaming towards you at 8-9 km and only one has access to torpedoes with over 8 km range (10km on the tier 10 one) and those are pretty slow. Torpedo ranges are as follows (with DD spotting range in parenthesis): Tier II - 3 km (5.76 km) Tier III - 3 km (6.12 km) Tier IV - 5 km (6.66 km) Tier V - 4 km (7.02 km) Tier VI - 4 km (7.74 km) Tier VII - 4 km (8.10 km) Tier VIII - 8 km (8.46 km) Tier IX - 8 km (8.28 km) Tier X - 10 km (9.00 km) These DDs are basically super light cruisers with slightly more health than other DDs and worse torpedoes than most cruisers. Fitting that they also have much worse maneuverability as well. They have their speed and their guns, but aside from that they are pretty bad.

    0.5.0.1 Maintenance and Patch notes

"Natural controls"... heh, no. I'm not holding the mouse as if I'm holding a head and tilting it, if I was I wouldn't be able to look to the sides using the mouse. Analogy fail. You are aiming something. Period. End of analogy. It's that simple. The only reason why people use inverted y-axis for mouse controls is that they either play mostly on console or used to, that or they have their roots in flight sim.

    Patch 0.5.0.1

Literally the best change in this patch: The ship icon for Kongo got it's superstructure back.

    Patch 0.5.0.1

Same velocity. I have no idea about accuracy. Ships for for supertesters.

    Patch 0.5.0.1

Worse? The only things worse is the per shot max damage and fire chance, maneuverability (probably also speed) and torpedoes. But the Hindenburg has much higher health, classic German "double armored citadel", much better turret traverse, much longer range, a bit better reload, arguably better AA and better firing angles.

    Patch 0.5.0.1

Also I present to you, Tone. Worse than the Mogami at everything except AA. Worse rudder shift, worse turning circle, less guns, worse gun angles, less health, no torpedo bulge etc. But 38% better AA is... something I guess. Would be okay if it was tier 7, but now it's tier 8.

    Newest Update Fail

I have the same error and more than enough space on all drives.

    Did anyone say new ships?

    0.5.0.1 Maintenance and Patch notes

Going a bit off-topic, but I just have to give this small tip: At least try to move away from inverted mouse controls in non-flight games. You'll do yourself a huge favour if you can manage to do that. I started out my gaming life only using inverted mouse controls. I played Quake, Quake II and other shooters this way for many years until I started playing a game called Operation Flashpoint. This game allowed for free crosshair movement within a small area in the middle of the screen and only panned the camera when you moved the crosshair outside that area. It's not that you couldn't configure the controls to invert the y-axis, but that it made no sense to do so since the crosshair behaved like a cursor when you aimed instead of only turning the camera. At that point I knew that I had to get used to non-inverted controls. It was actually easier than I thought and before long I couldn't imagine going back. I still prefer inverted mouse controls for flying, where it actually makes sense. tl;dr - Give non-inverted y-axis a shot in various games. Who knows, you might even prefer it once you've gotten used to it.

    why no unified gold?

Which is WG's problem, not ours. They knew all this back when they promised fully unified accounts across all their games. Nothing has changed up to this point. I don't care if a few clan wars players use huge amounts of gold in WoWS, because their numbers are tiny compared to everyone else and not everyone of them will want to play WoWS. Also I'd rather take a <100 battles in WoWS top WoT player than your average "for fun" WoWS player.

North Carline to expensiv to play whit.

This might sound harsh but you just have to play better. There are no reward handouts in WoWS so you need to actually do damage and contribute to make credits. Really bad battles when you might just be sailing around and not even facing many enemies and then losing to an enemy cap, you'll have to expect to not get much of a reward. But those battles are also the exceptions. The vast majority of battles gives you ample opportunity to deal damage and even contribute to a win.

    What's up with Wargaming

If the attitude is to quit when you get outplayed then good riddance. Nice unintended feature to filter out those players. Personally I want to face and play alongside good players when I start playing a new game so that I learn faster and know at what level I need to play to keep up. The only time this becomes a problem is when experienced players get their hands on unbalanced vehicles and twink them out. I'm looking at you T18 and Matilda. But that's not a problem with the player spread, it's a game balance issue.

    0.5.0.1 Maintenance and Patch notes

Seeing as Tone is the lead ship and name of the class, I seriously doubt it will be a premium. Looking forward to seeing what they do with the float plane deck.

    What's up with Wargaming

Tier 5-7 will always be the sweet spot for highest reward/time ratio just like in WoT. As long as you can do tier 8-10 battles without losing credits in the long run it should be fine. This balance is pretty much required to spread players across all tiers and not just have a massive tier 9-10 player base and barren low and mid tiers. This is more or less the only real problem with the economy we have now. It's objectively the wrong conversion rates being used.
  17. Although there is literally no downside to doing it like that, they constantly turn down those suggestions for whatever reason.

    I miss-clicked ...

I heard about one of these contests through twitter (@Wargaming_netEN). Not sure why only one was posted.

Did Wargaming.net just screw me over?

It is a free game though. You choosing to pay for something that you can also get for free doesn't make it less free. I'd say that you should probably expect credit and XP refunds for removed modules if those changes are made post-launch, that is from now on. World of Tanks has been pretty good with refunds when these kinds of changes has been made. But you'll never get gold refunds for XP or credit conversions because they don't provide exclusively paid content.
  20. Most of the time you will not expect to have to dodge torpedoes coming from allies, so even if the torpedoes are visible you will normally not look in random directions to spot friendly torpedoes well in advance. So in the vast majority of cases you'll only notice them when the on-screen warnings show up with the alert sounds.

    Tirpitz! Post your Record Scores!

534k pure profit on a draw. I'm pretty okay with the Tirpitz profitability.

    Border hugging

Except that aside from limiting CV attack vectors, it's not an exploit.
