  1. I can promise you that in at least 95% of the cases where you think someone is using an aim-assist, you are wrong. Then I'm sure there are some who are using aim-assist but are so bad that you couldn't tell. The way WoWS works with the amount of lead required and the RNG at work, there is no situation where a player can tell aim-assist from skill.

    The main flaw of the Fubuki is that she can get stomped really fast. Low HP, bad turret traverse and relatively wide turning circle makes for a DD which dies really fast if spotted. She's relatively good versus bigger ships where she can control the engagement and use her 3 x 3 powerful torpedoes effectively. Sadly what is most valued in a DD for actually winning is the ability to cap and keep other DDs at bay, both of which she's the worst at of the DDs in her bracket.

    The Fubuki loses 2 guns for 6 extra AA rating. The Benson loses 1 gun for 3 extra AA rating. Literally the same. As for comparative AA, the Benson only has two other tier VIII DDs to compare to. A single point behind the Tashkent, 3 points behind the Fubuki (which sacrifices more guns). Unless you make them identical there is always going to be one that is worse. It's a tiny difference. Once again, the issue is that basically no DDs have useful AA. You'll be happy to shoot down two planes in the Fubuki over one battle regardless of how many opportunities you get.

    This is not a Benson issue, but a "swap guns for AA" issue. It's the same for any DD which has that option. Benson gets a smaller AA boost in that trade because it's just a single gun. Japanese DDs get a slightly bigger boost but loses two guns.

    Fast firing accurate ships are the best. Individual shell damage matters less. For the Myoko mission specifically I'd recommend the following ships: Błyskawica - Many guns and fairly fast firing with high velocity. Just do DD things and you'll run into your prey soon enough. Atlanta or Cleveland - The Cleveland is able to engage effectively from a bit further away but lacks the insane DPM of the Atlanta at close range, the latter which also has surprise torps for those up close and personal moments. Make use of islands to stay close to DD hot spots while also keeping out of enemy ship line of fire. Mogami (155 mm) - If you have it I'd say it's probably the best ship for the job, all categories. A bazillion guns with high ROF which unlike the Cleveland and Atlanta has great velocity so you can effectively engage DDs at any range. Funnily enough I think it's also one of the best ships for the next stage as well. In a pinch: Nürnberg (could probably get its rear kicked by Russian DDs), US DDs (great in close range, but will lose even to IJN DDs at longer range), 203 mm CAs (you can hit and do damage alright, but you'll have trouble getting the kill shot with such low ROF).
  6. I'll say what I did during the CBT: Yubari needs to have two hull options. The last one (which we currently have) and the earlier one which has two extra single 140 mm turrets instead of the 120 mm turret and rear AA mounts.

    Welcome to the RNG of playing against BBs. You're probably not making yourself especially hard to hit it it happens this often though.

    Damage done is not rewarded the same across the board. Killing a DD from full health gives you just as much rewards as killing a BB from full health. One ship is one ship, not the sum of its HP.

    Damage ratios are pretty irrelevant unless you are fighting a similar ship. He could have killed 4 Hermelins with his damage for example, which could prevent them doing a collective 120000 damage. Of course it doesn't quite work like that either, but you get my point. The Mikasa will rarely get big damage numbers because it either faces lots of small DDs and CLs which it has to hit with a combined total of 8 rounds per minute, or get close enough to have the secondaries open up. Or it faces BBs with twice the number of guns which are also more effective. If I was trying to balance the Mikasa better I'd start by opening up a few extra upgrade slots so that it can get either better main gun accuracy or better secondary range. Maybe drop the reload time of the main guns slightly.

    The permanent camos for the premium ships were all good. But if WG wants us to invest in optional permanent camos in the future they need to be way nicer. They don't have to be 100% historical, but at least the shouldn't look horrible.

    I think it's a fun ship. Being able to go where DDs go due to small size and DD size turning circle. If you get focused you're toast, but it's nice when you stick to other ships.

  20. Of all the ships I'd like to have it's the Iwaki. Ironically it's the one ship I'll never be able to have. I really like the Tenryu, so having a suped up version of it would be amazing. Faster, good AA, good torpedoes and the same DD-like agility.
  21. I don't think 10€ for 8 extra port slots is too expensive. Just look at other F2P titles that sell bag slots and extra character slots. Though I do agree that discounts in general have been lacking for WoWS. The New Years event was pretty good, but still not even close to their other titles.

    "T" gives you increased Anti-Aircraft firepower for a short time and makes enemy bombers and torpedo bombers within your range have reduced accuracy for the duration. "Y" launches a single fighter plane which will patrol around your ship spotting ships and torpedoes while also engaging nearby enemy planes.

    I think about it the opposite way. You'll be forced to use them on the Kagero anyway for a while, so why prolong the suffering.

    I mean stealth could help, sure. But I'm not sure the game is ready for DDs who can remain undetected until proximity spotted. Agility alone isn't going to make a DD competitive. We already have some pretty agile DDs like the Sims which has much better firepower at the same time. These destroyers we're looking at, from Sweden for example, are built for a completely different purpose than the bigger fleet destroyers we have currently at higher tiers. And I don't think that translates very well to the game. We don't have submarines, we don't have shallows, there is nothing below the DD in the pecking order (frigate, corvette or torpedo boat) and we only have big fleet engagements to play out.
