The game isn't balanced around ranked.

Torpedos both from Destroyers and Planes are equally overpowered!
Nechrom replied to TakedaYabu's topic in General Discussion
I appreciate you taking the time to formulate your opinion well and not just ranting. Buuut I don't think you're in a position to critique the game in any general sense having only played 38 PvP battles and only with battleships. You should definitely give your opinion from the position of a new player, but that doesn't extend to general game balance. If you haven't grasped how to avoid or at least mitigate the torpedo threat, which is completely understandable, then perhaps there's a something to be said about the lack of new player help tools. For now you can check out some good players on YouTube and their beginner guides. Or you could just work from the assumption that the game is mostly balanced and you have things to learn.- 69 replies

Oh, so you have some insider info that we don't?

Have fun not paying for any game ever until the end of time.

So recently I moved form IJN CAs to BBs... what a difference!

I just found that funny since it's basically a meme by now. You question someone why they play mostly something overpowered and they answer: "Because it suits my playstyle." -

I still haven't gotten credit for the kills I did over 24 hours ago and the ticket I sent has not been replied to. 179 is the maximum amount of pearls you've been able to get by now.

Suddenly a bunch of players join the event 3 weeks into it. While that is theoretically possible, I find it very unlikely.
-
I was going by the assumption that 10mil was the total limit, because if it's just the date which limits it then there is no need to even worry about not making the cut. As I tried to explain in my previous post, I also don't think there is any risk of 10mil being reached by week 4.
-
While I'm annoyed that this happens and especially when it gets brushed off as if it was nothing. I'm going to tempt fate and say that you don't need every pearl to get the Kamikaze. We've gone through roughly 1/4 of the total pearls in the first week, which includes the one-time missions and one week of weekly missions. During this time (1st week) you could get 122 pearls and each following week you can get 57 more pearls. That gives us under 4 weeks minimum to get the 260 pearls and you can even skip a few missions you don't care for (carriers, I'm looking at you). Since the 1st week included one-time missions I can't see the total pearl number continuing to climb as fast as it did during the 1st week. You'll also have to factor in the initial rush to grind and some fall off as time goes on. Eventually during the 4th week people will start to reach the 260 pearls and stop or at the very least slow down on collecting.

No. Your thread was simply pointless. You didn't pose a valid question nor provide any useful information. tl;dr - Today I played WoWS and lost some games. The end.
-
I still haven't gotten my progress that I lost. The ticket is maturing at their customer service department.
-
If this was the first time? If they hadn't already run this event before? If it was actually done manually in real-time and not pre-prepared scripts? Then no.
-
As much as the Project R missions are fudging up right now, I'll just hold off on playing for something like 12 hours and let them sort it out. The worst is when mission progress gets eaten and you have to do it all over again.

So with the reset of the weekly missions already derping all over the place, I want to once again bring up the fact that the kills I did over 12 hours ago still hasn't counted towards the mission. Can we please have someone look into this and not just brush it off as something that will eventually magically fix itself.
-
Whoops, derp... they already reset. EDIT: Buuuut I see that they have not reset fully. The first two missions show as already completed, but have not awarded me pearls. SO I'm guessing they are left over from the previous week. Will we get new versions of those two? Should I wait to play until you've fixed it and the other issue with progress during the downtime yesterday not counting?
-
Not the exact hour, but it should be some time tonight or early this morning.
-
Perfect example of ruining the game to fix a problem that doesn't exist.
-
Yes, I noted specifically how many kills I had before I started playing today so that I knew how many I'd have to make in that tier. After I had gotten the remaining 3 kills at tier 5 I checked the mission again and encountered the outage, so it was 0/20 temporarily. After the outage the counter hadn't moved from the 17 kills I noted before starting.
-
Sorry for interrupting your camera talk, but... It has now been over 8 hours since the kills were made which has not yet been counted towards my mission. Is anyone at WG home?

Repair for all CAs would be a good equalizer. CLs could get short smoke charges though.
-
If they should change it they should change it because it's a poor Kongo (tier V) and Kuma (tier IV) versus a Farragut (tier VI). I guess that's actually a true to life representation of the current matchmaking though.
-
Even then it has to be a conscious and deliberate action with that purpose in mind, otherwise it's just people playing like normal and happening to switch targets at the exact "wrong" moment.
-
Way too much information for my taste. There's very little room for skill as it is, so removing even more would be a serious mistake.
-
That's not my experience. For me they are always US DDs launching way outside their range.
