    I'm perfectly content with mid tier play. You can do great things even when the MM shafts you, unlike in WoT, so mid tiers are safe to play for fun. Of course I'd rather have every tier be balanced if that was possible.

    What if it's not Counter-Strike? Custom looks is not a game-specific feature. No one has promised completely original and unique ships for rewards. The ship is the value, the paint is the merit badge. It sucks of course when you already have the ship, but that's the issue with every prize unless they produce a completely new ship for every singe event and competition. But I'm sure you can see why that's unreasonable to expect. It's either the way we currently have it or we get an opportunity to get a free ship maybe once a year at best.

    Even the Lexington is getting better planes across the board. I think you need to try it in 5.3 before you come to a conclusion. So much this ^ The huge swings in CV player numbers have so far been because CV-gameplay at its core is really bad. When CVs are OP certain kinds of players flock to them because they are easy padders/grinders etc and they enjoy dominating with little effort. When CVs are balanced or slightly UP people abandon them because there are so few players who actually play them for their gameplay. The other classes have a more stable player base because they are fun even when you don't dominate.

    But Fujin was limited and bundled. It was also sold at the same time as the Impregnator, which made the choice quite easy if you could only afford one. The Kamikaze also has a WAY better looking paint job. So I'm very happy with the choice of gift/award ship. If they limit a truly unique ship to event rewards I would not be very happy. I might not buy every ship they sell, but I at least want the option to if it's something new. I think WG should go with the general method of rewards that most competitions follow. If you give out something unique it's in the form of a medal or trophy, something useless but specific to that event/competition. If you give out something of value it's something other people can acquire using money. Giving out a re-skinned version of a publicly available ship gives you the best of both worlds. And they don't need to spend a lot of resources on content that only a few players will have access to.

    I'm pretty sure that's literally (using the word correctly for once) the opposite of what they are doing. They are normalizing planes in both directions. That means removing the jets at top tiers, but also removing the super old planes on the early tier carriers and spreading more appropriate planes between them.

    I think they could have added 3 daily missions as well for a total of 5 pears/day. Something like: 3 battles played (1 pearl), 3 kills (2 pearls) and 7k total XP (2 pearls). A tiny bit extra for those who play daily or semi-daily. As they have it now you just finish the one-time missions over 1-2 weeks depending on how much you play and do the weekly missions over 3 hours to 1 day each week. The rest of the time is just waiting.

    My problem? Nothing. I'm merely pointing out that the "aura strength" values in the change log do not translate directly into dps, unlike the "antiair aura" in the actual ship profile.

    But if you check the actual stats of the ships (not the change log) you can see that the aura strength in the change log is either wrong or doesn't represent the same values as the actual ship profile (which translates directly into dps if you multiply by 100). So post-buff MK actually gets 9.75 dps per gun barrel.

    Not sure if a want to. I can name a really good reason not to buff the 127mm, because the same gun is used in the same numbers already at tier 6. So instead they buff the guns which are exclusive to higher tiers or increase in numbers in those tiers.

    13.2mm? 17% buff for the twin. 18% nerf for the quad. Both got their range nerfed to 1.2 km (from 2.1 km)

    Until another DD shows up and you can't run away because you're cruiser-slow. RIP. A good Kagero player leaves as little as possible to chance by going close, where you often end up meeting other DDs. Cutting a total of about 2 min from your reload time during a battle isn't worth having to stay at max range. Even if the skill would finish the reload completely I don't think it would be worth it. EDIT: Also, an upgraded Kagero reloads in 92 sec. So the skill will only reduce that by 35%. I just can't see much use for a skill that you have to use a minute before you need it.

    Not fixing things has been WGs thing for as long as I can remember. I'm more confused when they change things for seemingly no reason. But worth remembering is also that it's not the same developers "fixing" stuff here and in WoT. So I'm giving the WoWS devs the benefit of a doubt.
  22. I can't recommend the Lo Yang enough. The few battles I've done in it so far has been so fun and profitable. I can't believe I got such a good tier VIII premium for so little money. The only players who should think twice about getting it are the ones who don't have decent tier VIII+ experience already, hate destroyers and/or can't afford it.

    I can understand them nerfing the jets and buffing long range/high caliber AA which has been very weak for no good reason. Even the change to AFT I can see, since it really made little sense to buff only certain gun calibers with a skill. Better have it only for secondaries and DDs instead of an arbitrary caliber. Not so sure about the other CV changes. Seems pretty random to me. I don't see what they are trying to fix with that. Roughly 22% damage buff for the 40mm. No change to the 120mm on the Mutsuki (the 120mm on the Yubari got nerfed by about 17%).

    IJN Battleship VS IJN Cruiser

    I think he's referring to the fact that the OPs profile doesn't at all match what he is saying. His most played and highest performing cruiser Tenryu (24 battles) has an average of 1 kills/battle. His BBs with much more battles played average just over 0.5 kills/battle. His torpedo hit ratio with the Tenryu (the only ship with torpedoes that he owns apart from his 2 battle Kuma) is 5%. Overall he has slightly above average performance with one ship, the Myogi. He's very average with two ships, the Tenryu and Kawachi. But he's very bad in everything else, like the Kongo, Fuso and St. Louis. Nothing wrong with the question.
