That's more than just a feeling. The Anshan has 19 mm of armor around the steering gears and 16 mm over the rest of the hull. That's a level of armor you don't normally see until the Kiev at tier VII.

What you think is irrelevant since the forum rules makes it very clear that duplicate topics are not allowed. And your comment about necroing makes it clear that you didn't even check for identical topics before starting a new one, since the one I linked is still very much active. I posted in it just 4 days ago and the last post is from earlier today.

It's the 3rd topic in the Destroyer sub-forum. Please use the search function. http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/38619-sims-needs-buffing-warshipstatsshipanalytics-proves-it/

If WG asks me what I think of their game, you bet I will answer. Why wouldn't I?

The income seems comparable to other premium DDs. It makes slightly less than the Błyskawica from my experience.
-
You're not being very selective. But I agree that there are a lot of nice low tier ships. I tend to keep most.
-
IJN: Tenryu (tier III) and Kongo (tier V). USN: St. Louis (tier III) and Omaha (tier V). While the USN has some good BBs at low tiers they don't scream "fun" until you get to tier VI.

General sentiment, good. Details, bad. I agree that top tier IJN DD gameplay is quite boring and unexciting. Which just like you said don't equal OP, not even close. But I think you are targeting the completely wrong aspects of the ships in your attempt to fix it. If I got to "fix" the Kagero and the Shimakaze, I would definitely not touch their speeds. The Kagero especially is super slow for a DD and to expect CAs to be able to compete in raw max speed with DDs is not at all what CA vs DD should be about. I would also not touch their torpedo speed. There are already so many consecutive dice rolls required to figure out whether the torpedoes you launched 20-30 sec ago will reach their target or not, that lowering their speed will make them borderline useless and would still not fix what many people feel are annoying about them (the walls from nowhere). Instead I would cut the torpedo range down to 10 km max for all DDs who currently have longer ranges. To balance that out and retain DD statistical performance I would lower torpedo spotting ranges from the air and normalize torpedo spotting ranges from ships (which they started doing recently). Suddenly you are forcing DDs closer and allowing CAs to screen without being 5-10 km in front of the BBs. It gives gunship DDs a smaller area to focus on where enemy DDs could be launching from. It will also increase torpedo hit ratio for those players who can work with 10 km range, because the travel time is the biggest culprit in that probability equation. With DDs being easier to counter due to a smaller launch window you also have room to buff DDs in other areas where they might need it.

What class has the least annoyance potential?
Nechrom replied to Alezul's topic in General Discussion
BBs have the highest tolerance for bad circumstances. In most cases you can always deal damage and stay afloat regardless of how badly your team is doing. Some exceptions include certain US BBs facing exclusively IJN BBs with 5 km longer range, but that's pretty rare and only for a few specific ships. DDs can survive well enough if cautious. But can go completely without results/rewards if they get screened and countered. They are also by far the most map dependent class. CA/CLs can get deleted at any moment without doing anything wrong, just by pure RNG. The end. CVs can get completely shut down by fighter focused enemy CVs. -
Yes. I'm swapping my Lo Yang captain back and forth.

8 km for the 60 knt ones (79 sec reload) 4 km for the 65 knt ones (70 sec reload) Same damage on both.

If WG got to nerf the Gremyashchy the way they want to, it would turn into a Gnevny, which would be a massive nerf in basically every aspect. So it's in this awkward spot of being a premium which really could use a nerf. The Type 59 comparison is pretty good, but the Type 59 wasn't markedly better than the same tier mediums, it was just very well rounded and without any big flaws. Though they did actually nerf it a bit in the end.
-
So you're saying that you are like WG when something is broken in their game. #thinkingaboutit

Innnnteresting... The question is if it's worth if just for the free XP or if another better premium ship ends up with about the same amount in the long run.
-
Huh? Where did you see that?
-
I'll add a couple of other differences between the Anshan and the Gremyashchy. Anshan: +100 turning radius +2.2 sec rudder shift time +1 knt max speed +1300 health +9 sec torpedo reload +5 knt torpedo speed alternative 65 knt torpedoes with 4 km range +1 °/sec gun turret rotation speed.

Data entry jobs suck. But if you only have to do it every once in a while it's not terrible.

SIMS Needs Buffing - WarshipStats/ShipAnalytics Proves It
Nechrom replied to PoetRaptor's topic in Destroyers
The only thing which has changed with the Sims since CBT is the HE shell damage which was a blanket nerf to all low caliber HE shells. As well as the new alternative torpedoes and Defensive AA consumable.- 85 replies

Most tier 7-10 BBs are well armored with the exception of the Nagato. The Izumo is also quite fragile if not positioned correctly. Amagi is not hard to penetrate but a lot harder to get citadel hits on. As for signal flags, I usually stick with India Delta and India Yankee for BBs specifically, plus any combination of +XP and +credit signals.

I guess you didn't read my post very well since this is exactly what I wrote already with even more details.

Seems reasonable.

Not exactly. The most profitable method would be to always switch targets to enemy ships which you can do the most % of damage to the fastest. So if you're in a CA fighting a BB at long range and an enemy DD gets spotted then you should switch to him if you think you can hit him. Even just one 203mm shell hit on a DD does around 10% damage, so it's extremely efficient XP as opposed to chipping away at a BB. Likewise BBs should focus on CAs if they can, since two citadel hits is most of their health.

It's the tiny number on the top right of your nickname in your in-game profile.

What we like to call "base XP" is not actually the literal base xp, since it includes the 50% win bonus. But you are correct that it is used as a base for the other bonuses.
-
For the time being it does nothing. I think it might have some use on one of the other regional servers, but so far on EU it's just a placeholder. They were thinking about using it to give players with high karma better chances in lotteries and competitions. But there were never any direct negative effects planned since it can't go below zero.
