Didn't spend money on any of the other offers waiting for the "grand finale" and as it was my birthday yesterday I was very willing to treat myself and splurge even if it was that armada bundle. But this? I'm both happy and sad I didn't get to give any money this week. WG you really do have odd ways of trying to make money.

It is better than WoT for me. The Russian tree hasn't been implemented yet but the Russian premium ships are pretty good so I don't know if that is an indicator of what's to come in their line. Progression is fairly quick until tier 8 if you use premium. I can't comment on what it's like completely free to play grind-wise but I imagine it isn't that bad, certainly not as bad as warthunder, I gave up on that game. Everything that can give advantages in a battle can be bought for credits or gold (doubloons) as it stands.

You are coming across very bitter. Just accept that it is out of your control how WG choose to market their items.

I'm not a carrier player but I love the amount of planes in the air with the new Japanese carriers. Feels more realistic and "epic" seeing the sky flooded with planes rather than 5-10. My FPS is taking a hit however.
