    Just playing a couple battles every 2nd day is "effort" now? Also, there's quite a lot of players who can't spend money on premium ships, so for them a free tier 7 premium is worth a lot more than any t7 silver ship.

Depending how that bonus works, and given the other mission for +200% free xp, and how both can be done in a fairly reliable enviroment where it's easy to get decently high base xp and be top 3 (ie operations), it could well be worth it to pile on signals and get the bonuses lined up and maximised.

    That's an amazing amount of effort to not address a single of my actual points. I never used my "hurricane status" as anything but an example for how MM would struggle to fit people into battles, and how little that "status" means in balancing players. And personal experience, unless backed by actual collected facts and statistics, is the exact same as personal opinion. One heavily weighted by your bias toward yourself. And then you make vague assumptions about the games future, with a time table so long into the future as being impossible to prove either way (ie, basicly unfalsifiable), ie entirely worthless unless you're going to come back here in 2-3 years to discuss it further. Well. not that people like you haven't claimed the very same thing for nearly 3 years, without it ever becoming true anyways. As for comparing it to WoWp, a game that was DoA, that's just silly. The MM in WoWp wasn't ever the reason it never got of the ground, so it's a wild reach to try to compare this and justify your complaints by it. In the end, anyone can go "the game would have *XYZ* count of players if not for *WHATEVERIWANTCHANGEDTHATSNOTCHANGED*", and people have done so since before launch, and none of you have yet been correct. That's some actual history lessons for you. This game has had a slow but steady playerbase, and one steadily increasing, though given these numbers it might be hard to increase it much any further. But the fact that something has reached the customers it might ever reach, isn't in any way evidence for what you want it to be evidence for, nor is just going "but make the game like this and it will be getting way more customers" really a good one. Sure you can make the game into some fast twitch/reflex based shooter and it might garner 10x the player base, but that would easily make it entirely crap for those of us that plays it because it's not like that. As for demanding that the game cater to you personally.. ye.. no. Not only are you making assumptions about what you'd find more fun, but about what most players finds more fun, as are you demanding the game changes to make every mode more similar, thus removing the reason some of us plays CW and ranked battles as a diversion to randoms. And pretending that randoms isn't also about 1 player trying to get most out of it even at the cost of his team mates as it can be in ranked.. just hogwash. If anything in the higher ranks that's far less the case than in random battles. And sure, there's things the MM can do better, but at this point that's really starting to be limited to trying to balance utility (ie, radars, def fire etc) and maybe consider looking at some DDs as their own kind (ie, the khaba type). If you want a game mode where you'll be guaranteed 50% chance to win, I suggest you ask for a different mode entirely.

    So, you're merely talking from opinion and personal bias. Good think we got that tick box checked out. As for the suggestions, they were dumb, not just because they would do very little, but because they would allow people to manipulate the MM. Take this specific scenario, a few days ago I played with 2 friends of mine. All three of us are at similar skill levels. As both of the others have small children they have had very intermittent time for this game the last year or so. Thus the division was like this non CW rank player with rank 1, non CW rank player with rank 18 (this player has the "best" random battle stats), and me with rank 8 and top CW league. There's pretty much no way your suggestions would find a "balanced" division for us, all at the cost of a massive wait time until the MM gave up. On the other hand, I could just temporarily leave my clan, and we'd be forceably matched up against what's likely to be a division of very inexperienced players. And this is why such suggestions just don't work, you add rules that gives players a way to not only get random opposition, but to give a huge chance of getting far worse than average opposition. And doing this, is dumb. In the end, random battles are random, if you want modes where you play mostly players of your moderate skill level, you should stick to CW or ranked, and suggest to WG ways of making those modes more appealing.

    Except EVE is flush with ways to bypass grinds, as are there a HUGE amount of reasons why you'd want to, as it literally takes years to be able to fly larger ships well (or fly them at all). And that's not even considering the cost of the ships and equipment itself. I mean.. in Eve you're literally able to spend real money to get almost anything. As for matchmaking.. of course there really isn't one, and the entire game is in that way more realistic as the best way to win is to ensure you never have a fair fight. (yet in that way WoW is also similar, the total ship count is the same, but you want to have many small unfair fights, either by having a better ship for the situation, or by being able to use more ships against fewer).

    The problem is, people have wildly and entirely mutually exlusive ideas on what should change, just they all love to point to some population data (even this data, which shows the overall population stable, just a low retention of those who just recently try the game, which given how this is such a nice product and that nearly 3 years since launch a huge proportion of those that would ever be interested have already tried it, is pretty much what you expect to see) and go "LOOK I WAS RIGHT!" when they have no evidence whatsoever that this is actually true. Ie, players only knows what they think they want, not what actually makes the game more fun or more successful.

    This.. is so very very very dumb. For one, you have no evidence whatsoever that what your specific complaints is, is the cause of low new player retention. Just like ever, people go "fewer players" (even when it's factually wrong) and insert their own complaints as the cause. Secondly, your suggestions are .. amazingly easy to circumvent, as is it amazingly silly to pretend that ranked battle rank is a good measure to balance random battles (it's something that takes far more time than personal skill). And requiring equal balance of CW teams is even sillier. Besides the ridiculous wait times people who play CW would be penalized with, how would that treat a division with one hurricane, one storm and one with no CW rank? Either you force that division in as hurricane, which it clearly is not, or you allow for people to just bypass that cap by taking one player that's not in their clan along. Trying to juggle both ranked ranks, and CW league to balance it, besides already mentioning how these things means far less than what you want to believe, would result in a lot of people never getting into battles (or the MM spending 5 mins waiting then dropping those rules to make battles, effectively just wasting peoples time). Ie, you'd penalize a lot of people randomly, while allowing people to far more easily dictate opposition. /also, why would customer support have any word on how to fix wowp's issues? That's not their job. At most they would send complaints to the people who actually develop the game.

    No you can't. If you do own it, you can get more containers for the USN CL collection though and finish that a bit quicker, but this is a separate line of tasks and rewards.

    If you average 30k, then you'll have frequent battles with twice or more of that average (as you will have battles with less). As does most players have a lot higher average damage currently than their overall average, as that average is weighted by all the lower tier ships they've played earlier. And if you picked what's hard for you, then why wouldn't other players have particularly many more they find hard? Again, 5 you can skip, a bunch that takes from 1-6 battles worth, and a couple that might be hard (for some), to get a free fairly high tier premium. The "hardest" part of this marathon is being able to have a session of playing once every 2 days, not the actual tasks. The absurdity of going crying about this being a ploy to make people spend money is just the icing on the whiny cake. Is it WG wanting to make money though? Well certainly. But by trying to give people a reason to continue to log in to play and thus increasing player engagement.

    Funny thing is, it never had the "old" shell velocity with the "old" range, as the shell velocity was reduced well before the captain skill changes that made them increase its range.. Hell, back when it had, armour models still weren't implemented and you could citadel BBs with cleveland AP. While I could see a slight shell velocity buff as appropriate, to where the guns are somewhat effective out to the ships max range, there's a rather short path from "decent" to "borderline op" when you let such a ship apply damage far easier, especially against DDs.

    Musashi or Kronshtad???

    Kronstadt offers a somewhat different playstyle. Musashi is a downtiered Yamato that plays basicly the same. Playing the Kronstadt requires some personal skill. Musashi (like yamato) is pretty much point and click. There's plenty premium ships you could train/cross use an IJN BB captain in. Other premium RU CAs tend to have different captain skill requirement. Thus I skipped the Musashi for now, but will save up to get it just for the collection mania bit of it.

    You literally had to search to find 6 mission you found too hard. And you have 5 missions you can skip. So you ONLY have to do ONE of these. And quite frankly, most of those are easy unless your standards are very low. I mean, 70k on a win is something you should do fairly regularly down in t4-5. And the utter nonsense in pretending that this is a ploy to get people to spend money.. they're giving away A FREE PREMIUM, and there's basicly no way to make this easier by spending money.

    I barely consider it putting in any effort, most are done just by playing the game, a few might make me change my ship usage slightly, a couple might make me actually put in a minimum effort, and a few more that would require "real" effort can be skipped as you don't have to do all of them.

    Except the requirements requires no particular skill, not even a skill level someone like you would struggle at. Nor are the rewards anything someone who got a lot of stuff would actually care much about. Does good players, and players with a larger variety of ship, do it quicker? Yes.. but unless you want the mission to be "enter a battle" then that will ALWAYS be the case. Ie it's just "omg my free stuff actually requires a minimum of effort!?!?!?!?!?!?!" whiny bs.

Actually, in real life planes would be loitering around looking for the ship (or any) where they could safely ditch in the sea with a hope of getting picked up (as happened to so many japanese pilots who returned to their CV during the battle of Midway). The chances that you might have a direction, and enough fuel, to find anywhere else to fly is very low.
