    Actually DDs can easily sink BBs. Hell, they're one of the classes designed to do so. Also, if he was sinking them with fire, he was not hitting (or aiming) for citadels nor firing AP. Do you even know where they are? Or are you suggesting he was getting citadel penetrations against BBs with 120-130mm HE? Because.. that's an absurd claim. If he was using HE to cause fires, he was aiming for entirely different spots than a BBs heavily armoured citadels. If he was only hitting citadels, he'd only do damage if he actually missed them and accidentally hit superstructure. Ie, your claim is entirely self contradictory and what you're showing is the exact same sort of ignorance that makes people laugh at "haxx" claimers.

    It's a specific ship for a special event/mode that you do not have to play that you have no way to say will even be submerging (actually it definately won't as the client does not support it). It's not going to take away resources used for other issues because people doing modelling are not the same people that do game balancing, nor the same people doing texturing. People have different jobs, and it's very possible to have an event team work on this things while different teams work on the new trees and other game fixes.

    Sorry to say, but your overall performance is nowhere deserving of even your current WR. You've been lucky, but laws of averages will push your actual WR closer to your "deserved" WR in time.

    6-8kn submerged speed makes even the langley look like a speedboat. They just have no business in an actual fleet battle, but preying on supply ships before and after, or attacking damaged ships after.

    Every possible fact shows you wrong. BBs dominate CAs in the current state of the game. You having bad luck once or twice isn't what usually happens, and CAs that go broadside to BBs usually gets punished for it. And if you want to take real life into it, feel free to also ask for realistic hit rates on BBs guns. Something tells me you're not going to do that.

    No, they were designed to be a game dominating force that you had to consider in your plans and manouvers. Which is why they, as the only ship class, had restrictions placed on their numbers from the very beginning. If CVs are going to be any use in this game, then they reliably need to be able to handle the ships that have the highest HP pools in the game. And the averages you see are frequently lower to much lower than the effective HP of equal tier BBs. If they're not this sort of threat of greater and fairly common in battle, then ships that have the built in advantage of having good AAA (USN BBs and CAs mostly), have that advantage nullified. As have ships that have the disadvantage of poor AAA effectively have that disadvantage also nullified (like the tirpitz). Or ships that rely on stealth can roam free (which is why the same sort of tard that makes threads as these will also complain about the number of DDs in games, when the lack of CVs is what forces people to play DD as the only counterplay to the excessive amounts of BBs at higher tiers). Fact of the matter is, the OP is making a post, one filled with errors and bias, against a class of ships you barely see anymore, especially in higher tiers. On crying that a class of ships designed to be a counter to his preferred class, does indeed have some ability to be such a counter. Yet he does not address the in comparison absurd advantages BBs has compared to CAs. Pure unadulterated hypocrisy.

    Aww, be nice. Clearly his 7 battles in the ship means he knows everything about it's potential. It's not at all like he's himself performing much much better in his BBs than his CAs while saying it's CAs that are OP is it? Because that would indicate a person with an astonishing level of bias and hypocrisy and amazingly low intelligence.

    Sure, increase spotting distance to "realistic" levels. And then give DDs actually historical torpedo ranges and torpedo detection difficulties. One might ask why you didn't mention that lack of realism of course. One might ask if you possibly cherry picked one specific case of lack of "realism". One could even say you're just using the realism card to cover yet another "omg nerf what sinks me" whine. You wouldn't be doing just that would you?

    That must be why CAs are dominating in damage done compared to BBs, and easily take them on 1v1. Oh wait, that's not true at all. In fact HE shells will easily do little to no damage nowadays, and the target you have to aim for to do that reliably damage is far smaller than the target a BB has to hit to citadel pen you.

    Sorry., but lol what? Have you checked the retraining required for a high end captain? The excessive amounts you need at the top end makes the grind to t10 seem like nothing. Hell, even a mid level captain in a DD would struggle hard for a large part of your battles as you'd not have SA while retraining (as with any binary skill) Currently the retraining system means you either: #1 retrain for gold (which I've done for pretty much every captain at 8-9 skillpoints and higher) #2 buy a premium for every nation to retrain with, though chances are you'd not want the same skills so it's nearly the same as just playing an unretrained captain #3 retrain for credits (and with absolutely no respecc for credit option, which at the low end costs as much as your ship, and at the high end just turns a 100 battle retraining into a 50 battle retraining (and as a bonus, you get to do that retraining while your ship is getting through stock too) 4# barely see your captain get retrained before you have to start retrain it again

    "We told you so" CVs got nerfed until they aren't a counter to BBs anymore, removing the actual reason to play USN CAs. BBs got buffed and CA/CL HE got nerfed until it wasn't a matter of BBs just being heavily favoured, but where they could dominate no matter skill differences. Thus you get a meta were you either play BBs, or you play the class that can damage them properly, and stay out of sight of their click-roll dice-sink you- guns.

    An extra note to that list, two of those DDs are almost exclusively gun based too. So even for DDs there are several tiers where guns beats torps.

    Your "logic" is utterly self defeating. Yes, that's a lot of torps, but you don't need to get hit by any of them at all. Thus it's just an example of why DDs struggle, not that they're in any way op. And clearly, as you won the match, it really didn't make any difference. The likelyhood of actually hitting with torpedoes is very very low, on top of a very low rate of fire. And that someone in a BB cries that other ships are just "spamming" shots is just laughable, as it always is, since it takes the least amount of skill (partly because it's easy to do damage with a ship that can penetrate with AP on most targets, and partly because RNG for BBs heavily equalizes the good and the bad BB captains) and least amount of worry to fire at targets for effect everytime they hit the fire button. Yes, DDs will often fire full spreads, though usually stagger the launchers a bit so torps aren't entirely parallel. "Just firing 5 since that will kill a BB" when you have 7-8% hit rates, is a stupid idea.

    And this is why it's impossible to make playing BBs easy enough for some. It's not enough that the NC is all but immune to same tier CVs, one of the supposed counters to BBs, but he also wants to be immune to a two higher tier DD, also a supposed counter. It's utterly absurd. A DD spends 2 minutes lining up a shot, gets one torp hit at best, and that's "op". The even crazier part of it is, I bet it was the 3 (!) BBs that's on his tail that actually sunk him in that battle, as either of them easily does the same damage as that single torp hit in a single salvo (and potentially far more, while being far easier to pull off).

    First advice, don't play a ship that excels at things you don't need in ranked, ie. another ship to kill other CAs or a ship that kill planes more than anything else. Ranked meta is; either you play a BB or you play a ship that can fight a BB, which now mostly means DD only more or less.

    About credits..

    Well, yes, if you have endless amount of gold then sure. But I like many others, have literally in the million+ convertible XP, from playing premiums to pay for high tier purchases. It would cost me ~40k gold to convert all my available xp to free xp, and then a similar amount of gold to convert to credits to buy anything for it. Quick napkin math puts that at around 400 euro. And at the end of that, I'd still be accruing more xp I cannot use. So yes, time to get some accellerated crew xp into the game... Also there's a wall at t8, since income drops like a rock even with premium, and while ship costs "just" double per tier, with the added costs of mods and upgrades they effectively goes up 4-5x per tier at 8-9. Oddly enough though, as long as you spend the small amount of gold required to demount upgrades, then a t10 (non CV) costs less than its t9 counterpart.
