  1. There was an automated censor list in cbt. However all that did was learn people how to add * to bad words, and force us to find another name for the Essex.

0.5.3 Commander Skills - Behind The Scenes

The only thing larger than the big steaming pile of dung being heaped onto the few competitive CA/CLs in World of BattleDestroyerShips, is the pile of dung being heaped onto CVs....

RNG....what is the mechanic behind it ?

You're making the incredibly common but also so so wrong assumption that "random" in any way means "consistent".

    3 Shimakaze Division

No worse than divisions with 2-3 Yamatos. Really divisions should be limited far more in this regard, especially in t9-10.

You want to know how this game will die? Like this:

So your argument is that "I made an exaggerated claim so you are crying".. really? Then you fall down on a strawman as your defense. Yes, the Yamato is indeed visible, and that's the point, both ships have different ways of staying alive. It's just that one of them is mostly passive and takes little to no skill, while the other is a DD. Additionally, why even focus on the Shima in this regard? Launching torps from ~6km is something pretty much every IJN DD can do (or even less), and many USN DDs are also capable of it.

You want to know how this game will die? Like this:

Sorry, but that's absurdly blatantly biased on your part. "Sneaking" up to 6km within a yamato requires there to be absolutely noone in the way. It's just like comparing a yamato citadelling a broadside, nearly immobile CA from 20km away. Neither have any personal risk at all, but requires the entire enemy team to screw up on an amazing level. Realisticly that shima would have to get past enemy DDs, and any CAs that the enemy BBs hadn't already clicked away. Fact of the matter is, yamatos can tank a huge amount of even the most powerful torpedoes hitting them unless they get enough alpha to kill them outright in one attack, while easily doing more damage than any shimakaze. What is actual risk vs. reward? Having so much hp and repairing so much that you can take endless attacks, lobbing far less RNG dependant shells from outside most other ships range with similar total damage per salvo, just 4 times as often, or running a gauntlet of planes and enemy ships (many of which have lower detection range than you, including things like fletchers who dominates you 1v1) to get to a range where you can somewhat guarantee more than a few random hits?

No 2x on first win as announced in the event calendar :-(

Oddly enough, the 30% reduction to upgrade costs is already active.

CV Worse class in higher tier

There's no T8 CV that "easily reaps" a T8 BB. In fact one out of the two T8 BBs is more or less immune to T8 CVs...
  9. The email you sent out said 30% off for atago and others. However while the other offers for valentines day are already active, the atago for example is only advertised as 14% cheaper on the actual website. So are those ships going to be sold at that price on sunday, did you screw up when you sent that email out, are you just screwing up when you set prices at discounts (currently it's claimed to be sold at 14% off on the website, when infact the price is not fully 14% off, even if at just half a % more than you say it is, yet the atago in game is 15% cheaper in dubloon cost, so someone at WG is really struggling with percentages), or are you doing the dishonest marketing trick of mentioning a ton of stuff people might want together with random crap only collectors have any interest in and only selling the crap at the full discount price?
  10. Which is the last option in my post, do try to read.
  11. And? With or without slot it's still only 14% off (also, their math still isn't correct). There's no "and bonus slot".

    Why still buffing torps?

Can you manage one argument ever that isn't a strawman or just outright absurd? The point is, which you'd get if you weren't either simply stupid, or more like dishonestly twisting into something entirely different, is that those "massive" record DD games relies totally on luck in having bad enemies, and are a the most ridiculous thing anyone could say WG should balance ships around. And one argument that isn't 100% down to your opinion, which goes against any and all facts that can be shown? Until then, don't bother replying to me.

    Why still buffing torps?

Well, you'd not expect the results to be perfect. The problem is when people demand completely unrealistic requirements to consider such statistics useful. In a large group such differences even out. By their "logic" no medical trials could ever work as they test the placebos and real medicine on two different groups. Their arguments are inherently dishonest.

[POLL]Name of the T10 German BB "Grossdeutschland"

Because, again as noted above, it seems like an unlikely name given the issue with the Deutschland propaganda victories for the allies. Also, there's miles and miles of difference between a name that signified just the country, and a name that signified the larger area gotten through a campaign of murder and genocide.
  15. AgarwaenME

Propose to put a limit to the number of DD

And what is high risk to reward gameplay then? BBs sitting at 23km lobbing shells? CVs? Stealth firing CAs? Or really nearly any CA past t6 since rewards are so low even if you play high risk? Or possible.. and you know, I'm just "guessing" here, you're nicely able to hypocritically call one thing risk free while while having little understanding of higher tier DD play at all as you boost yourself to tiers you're not skilled enough to play with xp from premium ships. That you're just yet another victim of Dunning-Kruger. But that's just a guess...

    Why still buffing torps?

And if you can't use your single figure brain cells to understand that average skill levels between these mostly overlapping groups is going to be insignificant on a statistical basis then you should stop thinking you can "help" anyone. And again what you, like the other dishonest reality twisting guy tries to do, is disprove every bit of science or evidence based on statistics. Good luck with that,, I'm sure you can casually and arrogantly think you can do that.

    Sick of Aimbots!

Don't underestimate yourself, you really are.
  18. You do realise if there was something like that, then you'd be marked as "do not listen to this person"?
  19. AgarwaenME

    Why still buffing torps?

Because it's not your skill that makes enemy BBs sail straight and eat every possible torpedo you fire. And really, it's you who's forgetting luck, as you treat having amazing luck as being amazingly skilled. Also.. even more no true scotsman fallacies. Thing is, if the max possible damage done, is a reasonable amount of damage to expect; then by your definition, you're a bloody terrible player as your average is nowhere close to that. In reality (which you clearly don't want to live in) records are just that, records. They're whatever someone did when everything went their way, and not what you expect to happen all the time.
  20. AgarwaenME

    Why still buffing torps?

Yep, you heard it here first, if something is done once, or extremely rarely, then it automaticly becomes the norm. Forget the circumstances, forget the influence of good or bad luck, forget how some ships have far larger variances from good to bad, forget absolutely everything just so you can make something up once each of your other absurd arguments gets torn down. If someone can do X or Y damage in 0.001% of cases, then that's what you balance the game around. You seriously couldn't make up, this is beyond troll level nonsense.
  21. AgarwaenME

    Why still buffing torps?

But as noted in another post here. If you don't know what the average for a ship is, and you claim we cannot know that, then you have nothing to compare that players statistics too. And if you think no one here plays select ships, or only divisions, or worse yet, abuse the parts of the MM it cannot account for (like tripple yamato divisions, or midway+AAA CA divisions like early cbt) then I have a bridge to sell you. This is why people with a minimum of clue compares players on a ship per ship basis, not the overall stats.
  22. AgarwaenME

    Why still buffing torps?

Actually what you're saying is, that if one player did it once, then any "good player" (ie, no true scotsman fallacy) should always do it, and since any good player always does it, we need to make it much harder so he won't always and if you're not Messi or Ronaldhinõ or whomever, [edited]
  23. AgarwaenME

    Why still buffing torps?

I said nothing about player stats.. but then.. If ship wide stats are useless... then so are player stats. You can't account for everything that would tilt them either which way, so your "logic" (using that word very lightly) dictates it's as useless. Of course, that would make it hard for you to brag, so you have no problem being hypocritical about this. Thing is, statistics are better the larger the sample size. A sample size of "one player and the ships he likes to play and the ships he might like to play to boost his stats" is an order of magnitude less useful than average ship stats across every player who haven't turned stats private (and in the case of the stats published from WG themselves, actually every player). And again, I did not "cry" about DDs being UP. You are crying, as again, this thread is YOU crying about a change being done, and a very minor one at that.
  24. AgarwaenME

    Why still buffing torps?

Clearly you want to stay ignorant. I guess the fear or realising your own errors is too great. Much simper to just say "but I know about it" and then proving how you don't, but still force yourself to believe. "Look, that guy kicked a football from all the way from one side of the pitch to the other and scored a goal, so that's how we need to adjust the sport". Yes, that's what you suggest. Thing is, even just cherry picking max damage or xp or whatever you in your desperation will pick then.. well you'd need to start nerfing entirely different ships even then.
  25. AgarwaenME

    Why still buffing torps?

Wow, you're just digging yourself deeper and deeper. You want to throw in excuse after excuse for ignoring actual data and evidence, but somehow your cherry picked stats are still somehow fine. Endless dishonesty and hypocrisy.
