    Except you might want to read up on what it does. It does not switch ships when they're not the same tier. As far as we can tell from that picture, it might indeed have done a good job at making sure cleves/nurns were spread more evenly across teams. Is that enough? That can be debated, but atleast don't say it doesn't work from a picture like that.

    Yes, many things are unrealistic? So what? And if it was realistic, then BBs would be a sad afterthought in this game, not second to CVs, as DDs were far more important to the war effort on any side.

    Which is reasonable in a few occasions where the water is so shallow as that would be possible. But if you bothered to read his entire post you'd also see he suggested using wrecks to hide behind, which is absurd.

    If you want to fix that, ask for other ships to get buffs instead of making yet another stupid thread asking for BBs to become completely absurdly overpowered and in need of no team play or skill to play.

    It's highly relevant to the topic though, AAA numbers by themselves are meaningless if you don't consider how many and what sort of planes you need to shoot down to keep your fleet safe, and how much potential damage they're even able to do. More fighters in the air means less strike planes are even going to be close to pose a threat, in which case a scenario with no changes at all to AAA would still make whatever AAA there is more effective. Point being, the OP is trying to twist numbers into some absurd scenario where CVs came out of this patch somehow more powerful.

    How would it be better? The 3 top USN CVs have had their damage potential massively nerfed. The lower tier USN CVs have lost strike plane upgrades, but for no sensible reason gained fighter plane upgrades. Every USN CV is being pushed into AS decks, which in turn makes playing against one with an IJN CV a game of cat and mouse or "let me just throw enough plane against you until your planes run out of bullets killing my planes so I might be able to send in a few attacks". USN v USN has become a game of "lets trade figther planes while we roll bomber RNG on some DD". The only fun and playable scenario now is IJN v IJN CVs.

    There were and still are reason for not using focus fire, for example if all you wanted was to shoot down as many planes as possible (ie, you didn't need to kill say one particular squad of TBs) then not focusing one was ,and is even more so now, an option. This patch only makes passive air cover even more effective and even less skill reliant. Also, you're still ignoring how planes were nerfed across the board, which makes comparing raw numbers like that dishonest to the core. I mean, it's not like firing at slower planes with less hp makes a difference?.. oh wait of course it bloody well does. Also, while you might only have picked AFT/BFT for the AAA benefits, there were ever so many that picked them for the main gun benefits, with the AAA benefits as a nice secondary. "Your" choice to only use them for that is just that.. your choice. Basicly, you're trying to force a view that somehow CVs became more powerful in this patch, when nothing could be further from the truth.

    Also mid and low tier CVs lost strike plane upgrades, and are now effectively fielding planes a tier or more lower (USN use the same torp bombers for t5 and t6, and if you include how no one really is going to use TBs on either ranger or lexi, you get a situation where damage potential is pretty much stagnant from t4 to t-f*cking-9,) , while fighters were even further buffed and thus more CVs are being pushed towards AS setups, further weakening their effect in battle. Beyond that, the changes also makes USN CVs in particular boring point and click snoozefests, it's almost as low in skill requirement as playing a BB now.

    Talk about a load off bullhockey. Cherry picking what situation you need to make it look like a nerf Ie, passive AAA so massive that just having a few ships together makes it nigh impossible to approach is a far larger buff than having slighty lower with absolutely everything focusing a single squadron. Comparing situations where a ship has everything possible skill wise when that's a very unlikely scenario (ie, BBs using manual fire control for AAA) and ignoring the far more usual "maybe AFT and BFT" scenario. Ignoring how planes are worse (in particular for strike planes) for most CVs, because you know, AAA values are entirely independent of the speed and hp of the planes you're using it against Ignoring how a reduction in TB squads means you can focus target one squad and thus the effective reduction in torp hits for essex and midway isn't merely 50%, but more in the neighbourhood of 80%. Realisticly, there's a few ships that can right out be said to have worse AAA (grem, warspite, murmansk, yubari), many more who will get far better AAA performance at no cost in captain skills or upgrades (or player skill) and many who might seem to be nearly the same, but that will have it a lot easier due to the worse planes available to strike them with. Hell, the largest effective "nerf" is that many lower tier CLs (especially things like murmansk, which have a reason to have a high level captain) won't be using AFT/BFT and will thus have far lower AAA performance.

    Double plus this, most if not all of the plane upgrades that are now defunct, I spent free xp on partly or fully, easily accounting 40-50k free xp worth. Besides that: Lower calibre guns overnerfed (mogami is a sad joke now) with 3 way nerfs. CVs overnerfed, also 3 ways, by planes being worse, AAA better and flight decks turned to be ineffective and unfun to play, with no skill requirement bombers and fighter decks. If CV players wanted a that easy point and click playstyle, they'd play BBs. AAA buffs are even so great that the ships that has them as a specialty (USN CAs) are now even more defunct, as you can get enough AAA to both dominate planes, and keep far better guns (and torps) than the USN equivalents. Nevermind how pointless it is even having all that AAA when CVs are turned into boring fighter v fighter snoozefests where actually playing well to avoid air attack is now redundant. End result being, less ships to handle DDs, and those best suited to kill them (low calibre gun CA/CLs) are far worse at it, which in turn will cause more anti-DD whining from the BB mafia. Also, Sims and Atlanta are still terrible, with Yubari joining them, and a slap in the face of those that bought it. "Will not be sold for a year"? More like "no one will spend money on that trash ever" Saddest of all, the two best T8 CAs are now premiums, which is a terrible direction to take the game (in ranked it's even worse, with half or so of the best ships now being premiums with Tirpitz being as good or better than the other T8 BBs, and the Benson clone sharing top billing with the Benson). Basicly, the longer since you bought a premium, the worse it is likely to be. Which means you can't trust an investment in one, and your non premiums will be outdone by whatever the newest premium is. Positives? I guess the new skills, that don't specificly nerf ships that weren't free kills for BBs, are decent.

Yes, and BB armour should work the same way, a panic button you activate now and then. same with that 20km+ range, they shouldn't be allowed to just sit at long range and fire guns in total safety. Nevermind, continue your anti-DD circlejerk. I'm sure there won't be unintended consequences if WG listens to your whining on this too, not like nerfing CVs or CAs caused games to fill up with DDs now is it.. oh wait.. damn..

    If your computer are that fast, then on average you'll have more enemies loading slowly into matches. So in fact your WR will get better. And the actual issue with loading time is the bonkers way WG is "organizing" (using that word very lightly) the files.
