Talking about CVs like that just shows an utter ignorance about how they play. If anything, WG skipping the fuel mechanic only shows that this just made the micomanaging too high for that class of ships. It would be the same "potatoes" (which is just the same tired BS generalizaion, as most players are just.. average players) in either class of ships, so by those words it would make CVs even harder. If you had been correct, then there would have been no reason to not add that mechanic. QED P.S "Literally saying something" means that this is what they said word for word, I dare you to find a quote from any dev calling their players "potatoes". -

Your problem is that you think you have actual facts. You don't understand what facts even are. The stats that are being shown to you are actual facts. They're not from "authority", they're simply collected statistics that shows which ships perform in which manner on average. And again, you yourself describe yourself as a troll.

Keep talking. I'm sure you've not tired of spewing ignorance yet. (do try to atleast learn what the word troll means in this context, and when someone describes what they just did in exactly the same manner, then yes they are one). Nor how that's not even what this thread is about. Funny how you just throw this out, but does not address the pure errors from those you agree with? That's what we call "bias".

They are "a" counter, as they're generally the ships that kills DDs quickest. The real issue there is that CAs that gets close enough to reliably deal with them tends to get pummeled from 15-20km by multiple BBs who can citadel them even when heavily angled (assuming you even can angle against all possible opponents). In that regard, it's really BBs capabilities that protect DDs, because they make the middle area a killing zone for anyone detected.

Talk about ad hominems, you've already failed to make any reasonable argument, so that's not too unsurprising. Fact of the matter is of course, as I've already noted, that BBs take most of their damage from other BBs, and that DDs damage output is on the low end in higher tiers. If a shimas's average damage is "massive", then what is the yamatos?

Again, it's the SAME SORT OF WHINING you're spouting about DDs that got CVs nerfed to where they are as rare as they are, and which lets DDs roam around as freely as they often can. Do you understand what "unintended consequences" mean? The primary source of damage to BBs is, and have always been, OTHER BBs. If you make DDs even harder to play (they're already miles ahead of BBs in skill requirements) then what? CAs (except the odd few who can stealth fire) will become even less playable. You'll only promote a stale game with mostly BBs firing from max range, because approaching anywhere closer invites you to get focused by 4-5 BBs. And in the end, with CAs an even worse choice, people will STILL PLAY DDs because they're the only counter to BBs currently. Do you actually want to fix it? Then put your money where your big mouth is, and go ask for CV buffs, and for high end BB AAA to get nerfed. Come on, you can do it.

Except DDs tend to be favoured targets of CVs, since damage to them gives you just that much more xp/credits than damage to BBs, and that's even more the case now after the buff to USN DBs, and additionally DDs tend to be out in front of the AAA bubbles while also being closer, thus ensuring a shorter attack time and avoiding the loss of too many planes. But you know, that's actually what happens, and you've shown yourself to have no idea about reality.

Yep. But somehow that never happened and DDs never gets nerfed and BBs always gets nerfed.. or something. Statistics wise, that was an addition that wasn't needed, and if anything it hurts the DDs that primarily focuses other DDs more than the ones the BB mafia primarily cries about.

But DDs do have counters. Part of that problem is that BB mafia whining got their largest counter nerfed and their shortsightedness in endless anti-CV crying hurt themselves far more than anything else.

That's the entire point, you think it should be so easy that you can pretty much ignore that threat entirely until the very last second. But as it is, it's also supposed to not be entirely impossible to hit any semi decent BB with them.

So basicly "I don't know how many, so I feel justified in inventing any number I need to, to make my point seem good, no matter if it's true or not". Nor is the number of torps really relevant, it's just something to throw out to try to pad over the fact that there's no basis for these whines (as in, if there were, you'd expect to see DDs atleast equal BBs in damage). Much like "X spam" (be it HE or torpedoes, but none of those ever talk about "AP spam"), it's just a snide ad hominem.

No, again. You're simply interpretting it to be that and framing it in an absurdly biased manner. Difficulty and complexity is as much and more a matter of balancing, than it is "because players are bad" (can you get a more generic BS argument?). If one class of ship is far more demanding (as CVs still are) on multitasking and situational awareness, then wouldn't that make everyone not playing them blithering idiots in your view? -
You heard it here first. It's unrealistic that a plane can out turn a battleship. Up next, it's unrealistic that a hare gets outrun by a tortoise.
