Their design, good or bad (and I don't much enjoy the reworked CVs from the perspective of even playing them as I just find them boring to play) has NOTHING to do with players who play them being griefers. DDs (and say, light tanks, light cavalry and many other military units) are even supposed to "harass" the enemy, that does not mean that any player who plays them in a game is committing harassment. It's just an absurd claim to make that playing something as designed is somehow putting fault on the player. And really it's just a sick ad hominem to do so.

No. Playing a game as designed is still not griefing, not matter how desperate you are to pull out an insult on everyone playing CVs. They could promote the worst sort of gameplay.. you know, like thunderers sitting at max range firing HE just to farm fire damage but doing little to nothing else. But choosing to play that ship would still not make you a griefer. Nor playing any number of ship you might feel annoyed fighting. Talking about players the way you do however, is far more akin to griefing or harassment.

There's a massive difference between complaints, especially constructive ones, and what you're doing here, just spouting the same hyperbole we've been reading since 2015, and especially as you're whining about the results of WG trying to cater to those whiners. I mean "they make the game worse by playing CVs".. what sort of gibberish is that, blaming people for playing ships available in the game? so people are still whining about CVs, and not realising their whining only causes unintended consequences. Particularly nice to just make stuff up about who misplays more. But I guess if you need something to be true to fit your agenda, it magicly is.

On the other hand, forumites are likely to be playing rather a lot more than the average, thus being far more likely to be able to ever afford this.

Events not suited to people with any measure of life made me leave for a long while. So more as such would make me leave again.

Buffs need to be only for those in a minimum proximity to them. As it is now it favours those who sits at max range in their thunderers (or whatever else BBabies fancy nowadays) while slowly keeping themselves topped up as their farm fire damage on other BBs also healing as quickly as they're getting damaged, ensuring that those who duke it out for map control dies much before and has little chance to keep stars. By all means make it slightly dependant on ship class. DDs need to be within the buff zone or within a km or two, CLs within 5, CAs within 8, BBs within 10-12. But no leeching of others efforts to gather buffs as you sit on the map border.

And this is why personal witnesses is the worst form of evidence.

The difference is you find excuses for yourself while you generalize others, ignoring how for those others you're as easy to generalize.

In that case real life has bad game design. There's places where you wouldn't be able to approach even remotely close even with a shallow draft DDs, and other places where cliffs just continue literally 90' straight down and you could sail a Nimitz class CV right up to it. The game should have cases like this, but they should be obvious so people wouldn't only know about them if they memorise map layouts.
