Update 0.8.8 removed nation crew sound

This might be related to the announced issues that prevents the audio menu from working properly.

    Midway upgrade

You received all of the rewards for the legendary module chain, including the module itself. You simply cannot mount it. For the people who had already completed and were using the module prior to the rework the situation is no different, the module was removed from their ships. When the module is balanced to be something that isn't an absurdly massive buff then it will become mountable again. Until then you must use the existing upgrades.

ST, changes to Siegfried & Colbert

As a tier 9 cruiser? Seems unlikely. At least the O Project was from around 1940, not 1916 like Renown. Renown would most definitely need to be a lower tier to survive as such a large ship with merely 150mm of belt armor. Probably more like a tier 6 premium BB alongside Warspite.

    Ark Royal

It's probably being released during the next patch, which lands tomorrow and will probably go on for about 4 weeks so some time during that.

    FLEET ADMIRAL

Concealment expert does not simply render you invisible, the wording on the skill is quite clear in that it reduces detection ranges by 10%. Although the benefits of the skill are of little value if you are not familiar with detection mechanics. Your ship has a detection range, a distance at which enemy ships will spot you. It is indicated on the minimap as a circle around your ship and it changes based on different circumstances, increasing when you fire, reducing when you enter smoke, etc. Knowing your concealment ranges and how to use them is integral. There is more than one range, for example the range that surface ships and the range that aircraft spot you are different. When you fire you experience firing bloom; your concealment is increased to a distance equal to (or greater than) your firing range for 20 seconds, so people who are in your firing range will always spot you when you fire unless there is terrain or smoke between you and that target (and anyone else who could potentially spot you). Firing from smoke still increases the range that you can be spotted, but the increase is usually lower. All of these ranges can be shown on the minimap by clicking the settings cog and turning all of them on. When you are actively trying to hide from the enemy, such as when playing a DD, it is crucial to be aware of how close you can get to enemies without being spotted. However, any enemy who has a shorter concealment range than you can get close enough to you that they will spot you without you spotting them (for example, a BB with a concealment of 12km and a DD with a concealment of 6km. If the DD is within 10km of the BB then the BB will be spotted by the DD, but the DD is too far for the BB to spot him.) Being spotted by someone who is too far away for you to spot them is called being outspotted. Concealment expert reduces your surface detection range by 10% (Although when you fire your concealment is still increased to equal to your range). This means that enemies must get closer to spot you. With camoflague, concealment expert and concealment modification for upgrade slot 5 you can reduce your total concealment by approximately 21.5%. For ships that rely on being unspotted, such as torpedo destroyers, this reduction can be crucial. For most other surface ships this reduction in concealment improves their ability to disengage. Disengaging is when you stop firing at enemys so that the firing bloom effect on your concealment stops and your concealment returns to your normal surface value. If you are fighting an enemy who is 15km away from you and your surface concealment is 12km then when you stop firing your concealment will drop and that enemy who is 15km away from you wont be able to spot you, this can give you the opportunity to escape or repair or simply cause enemies to shift their attention to different targets. Concealment is a more complicated topic overall and the wiki article summarises the varies mechanics that affect it. I suggest you read the previously linked article or at least watch the video.

    Tier VIII CV balance

Only Kaga gets 4 torp drops and those do less damage than RN TBs and have an almost 900m arming distance. All other IJN CVs drop 2 per strike. It would seem unbalanced since it's not correct. The Implacable drops 2 torps for 5933 damage each, Shokaku can drop 2 torps at 7233 damage each, T8 american torps all do 6467 damage in drops of 3 or 2. But Implacable torps have very short arming distance considering their speed as well as the best flooding chance (before modifiers). And it's not enough to compare the torpedos, but also the planes themselves. The RN TBs are faster than the USN TBs, they have the most HP of any TB, they have the tightest turning. It's almost impossible to compare the RN carpet bombers to other nations dive bombers but Implacable has a total of 6 aircraft in a bomber squadron which each drop 8 bombs doing 4700 damage each with 32mm of penetration. That's 225,000 damage with 32mm penetration in the entire squadron. Even Lexingtons 9 bombers with 2 bomb payload of 9,200 damage only has 164,000 total damage in the squadron and again these planes are slower with worse turning and with less HP. The rockets have easily the highest damage of any tier 8 CV. Other than the Saipans TTs that do 5400 damage x 3 and the GZs Rockets that do 4450 x 4 the RN rockets do the highest damage of 2350 and each plane launches 10. The major drawback to these rockets is their 27mm penetration, making them mostly incapable of damaging anything but the superstructure on T8-T10 BBs. Against DDs however they are devastating. And yet again, the RN fighters have 30-50% more HP than the fighters of other nations, although most nations have fighters that are noticably faster than their bombers which is not true for the RN, for fighters they are quite slow. RN torpedos are some of the easiest to hit with and thats due to the very close minimum range that you can drop the torps and also because they drop fairly close together and drop angled towards the center so they get closer the further they travel, rather than running in parallel.
  7. Nothing has suggested as much so far, which was only an issue for Atlanta and Flint previously...
  8. Why would 152mm HE changes affect ships with 130mm and 127mm main guns?

ST - Changes to test ships

    Well that was hardly surprising.

    FLEET ADMIRAL

By Fleet Admiral do you meaning raising one of your commanders to 19 points? Once a commander reaches 19 points any commander exp that they earn instead goes into the Elite Commander Exp pool, which is similar to free exp but can be used to accelerate the training of other commanders.
  11. Oh look, more container early access. Yay.

Which level do you get flags (Not signal flags)

Is the exterior tab for flags not always available in the port screen? If not, it may come with the Camoflagues available at account level 11

    Supper Containers

2.5% chance for a SC with a normal container 5% chance for a SC with try your luck However if, like the OP, you only play 59 games over the last 120 days I am pretty sure you are not finding any SCs because you aren't actually playing the game.

Superintendent - Is it worth it?

Ships like Kremlin line and Lion & Conq only have a base number of 2 repairs. DDs also, Kidd and the Khaba line of DDs get 2 repairs, Daring and Grozovois line get 1.

ST - Changes to test ships

For the same reason the pre-existing FR cruisers didnt get reload booster, they arent balanced around having it.

i thought MM had 2 rank difference not 3?

The MM of a division is based upon the ship of the highest tier. But if a div has different tiers in it the MM will also try to find a similar div to put on the other team. If not then you just have a player on the team who is even worse than the rest, and thus the div is a "fail div".

    Appeal Chat Ban

Pete probably is right, the system may hand out 1 and 3 day chat bans automatically but requires an employee to hand out longer chat bans in response to reports. Though I have never had a chat ban so I really couldn't say.

    Appeal Chat Ban

    Stated but proven where?
  19. Benser33

    Appeal Chat Ban

I imagine that system is simple enough that if enough people report you for misbehaviour in chat youll get chat banned, even if you said nothing at all.

0.8.7 AA Changes – Credits Compensation

If you receive the 250k credit compensation and then sell the module for 250k you will have received the full 500k credit value of the module? It's not very clear.

Clarity on upcoming TIX TX Premiums

Asking the question here probably won't get any answer unless the info has already been officially released on dev blog/reddit/facebook, etc.

Is there any way to still get a CV refund?

Unfortunately, WG have said that after the refund period which was over 2 months and the notifications for it which they sent out over every platform available over that period they will not be providing refunds to players who did not take advantage of the opportunity when it was first presented. This question has been answered a few times on streams and the answer seems unlikely to change.
  24. She will return at some point, there are a few premiums who do not remain for sale at all times.
